I love this place so much! It has a sweet family home feeling to it. Yes, it does have some absolutely disgusting parts, however it is a great campground. The workers can be a bit rude and snotty but they are also very kind. The rules are terrible and do not allow any fun, such as not letting kids on the bounce pillow at 8:30 not riding golf carts at night and more. The gym has no sanitary at all, it is VERY messy. However this campground is overall pretty nice and does have a great feeling to it it has MANY fun activities for the kids. This campground is great. read more

The pools were clean, well kept and open. The splash pad was fun and also clean and neat. Miniature golf and the jumping pillow were also great additions for our family to enjoy. The campgrounds were well-kept and neat. Lots of long-term RV's there and the tent area was separate. Our tent reservation had electricity and water which put us in an area that was tucked in some wooded area nicely. If we had reserved a tent spot without water and electricity, we would have been in the wide open in the front of the campground. The bathrooms on the cabin side of the campground were wonderful. Clean, private showers with well kept bathrooms. Whereas the bathrooms on the general tent side of the campground were a bit more rundown. Either way, my family LOVED this campground. read more

I will start by saying i was never here when privately owned. My daughter lives 20 minutes away and our yearly visit is a Keuka lake state campground...a beauriful place. It didn't open because of everything going on so we booked here. We camp at KOA when ate resorts.. We came day late because emergency home but added a day..9 nights. No discount because NOTHING open. We never saw an employee except to drop off wood...until 6 days in. No gate... Twice in first days we saw one other camper (couple seasonals) both times they put the family right next to us. The whole campground empty..sites are close..and they put the 2 campers on top of each other. Found strage. We decided to leave a day early...called for courtesy call. They said KOA doesn't reimburse early...we didn't ask she offered the info. But never asked ..how was your stay. In all the places we have been from private to Fort Wilderness..when checking out..are asked was everything good..enjoy your stay. Campground seemed clean. But no one there and no clue bathrooms. Absolutely wonderful!! Not sure how high these past reviewers set the bar, but they are being ridiculous with these one star reviews. My family and I stayed from Friday to Sunday evening. Staff were normal, courteous, wave-to-you-every time-you-saw-them staff. One even went out of their way to get us firewood after the front desk had closed for the evening. Offered. We didn't even ask. Grounds were maintained, Put Put golf course was just fine. Hours of operation for jumping pillow and driving golf carts were completely understandable- nothing after dark. Both pools in working condition. Splash pad was on the entire time. Cabins were VERY clean. Stay was absolutely wonderful. And to FINALLY ADD - I do NOT love camping. Def not the first thing I'd pick for a family vacation. So for ME to say this place was deserved five stars..... absolutely! read more

HAMMONDSPORT / BATH KOA RESORT Beautiful campground with lots of potential. Room for improvement: definitely the staff lacks (friendliness) and there's no interest in the guest what so ever! For example, we got there on a Monday June 20.2022 and the pool area had only four lounge chairs, of which two were broken. We requested three more lounge chairs and we got no response. Again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we requested lounge chairs again, no response. Such a simple thing, it just doesn't make sense. Mind you they have two piles of extra lounge chairs which are not being used and should be put out by the pool area considering the amount of campsites and guest they have. Perhaps they feel they don't have to be accommodating to the guests who rent cabins for $1000 a week. I don't understand the thinking behind not being accommodating. Initially when we booked our cabin the main feature at this KOA is the pool spray park. We were never told that it was under maintenance. When we booked that did not appear on their website. When we had asked why is it not working we were told that they ordered a part a month ago and it's still in transit and they have no way of tracking it. In speaking with some of the guest, we were informed that the spray park area actually has not been working since 2021! Very disappointing considering this is one of the main features that the grandkids were looking forward to enjoying. What's ironic is if they did get the part in it would probably take them until the end of the summer season to install it. They work at a molasses pace at this KOA. The gym area is disgusting with only one functioning light! Refer to the photos: The mini golf area definitely needs attention, because it's not only dirty but the bricks are falling apart and there's certain features of the mini golf that do not work. The pool was not as clean as it should be and not once did we witness the pool being vacuumed. Refer to photos: I did not realize there are three types of KOAs: 1)Journey, 2) Holiday 3) Resort With that being said the Bath NY KOA should be titled journey! "KOA resort campgrounds offer a carefree vacation in the great outdoors with plenty of patio RV sites and deluxe cabins with linen service. KOA resorts also have an abundance of activities led by a dedicated recreation staffed, on-site food services, group meeting space, and so much more. KOA Resorts are all you could want in a vacation destination all in one place." The recreation staff was nonexistent there was no food services on the premises. So the question is, would ever stay at this KOA in Bath New York? definitely not! read more

Unfortunately this Campground is falling into disarray . There are new owners , it has turned into a KOA and they are not maintaining the property. The spray park hasn't worked for 3 years since they took it over . It is now the third week in June and the and the pool that's supposed to be heated isn't even open . Only the pool that has the cold well water . They aren't maintaining the Landscaping . It wasn't even a cold winter and there were water main bursts everywhere this weekend . There's been a burnout building that caught on fire last summer still sitting nothing being done with it . The store is barely open . And they're just very rude . It's a shame it used to be a nice Campground . read more

We just left today after spending a week here. The grounds themselves were nice and maintained, amenities maintained except for Frisbee golf. The property is set in a nice location. One star due to staff. Most of the week we had no had problem, but by Friday it went down hill. The staff go around thinking they are the local sheriff and pick and choose who follows which rules. A few of them are very rude and assume you're doing something wrong. We couldn't wait to leave. We have been to several KOA's and have not once been treated like we were. Like another poster said, only go here as a last resort and keep your stay short. read more

Almost cancelled our plans because there were so many bad reviews. I'm so glad we didn't! The grounds were clean, our cabin was great, staff was friendly and there was plenty to do. There were two pools and they were both clean and nice. We rented cabins and had about 20 people! I definitely recommend! read more

I have been a camper at KOA for over 30 years, the last 3 as a KOA, prior to that, it was Hickory Hill camping resort. I've been a seasonal camper for over 6 years. When this place changed hands to the present owners, we thought we would have a great place but it had not been the such. There has been many mechanical issues, 1 main bathroom closed for over a year, no hot water, pools and spray park closed, limited items in the store and no snack shack. The prices are yearly raised for seasonals, but most unfair are price increases for leaving you seasonal camper on your site and having your own golf cart. These charges are $200 each. Both require nothing from KOA/ owners. If it was not for the friends we meet, we would leave. The seasonal campers maintain and improve their sites, all at their own costs. Additionally the in and out campers seemed to have dwindle as the prices are high and the amenities are few, especially for the children. As I read the reviews here on Yelp, I can only assume the owners do not. They seem to not care and we don't see change in a positive direction. Everyone would agree that owning a campground is not for everyone. I only hope that these owners look and listen more. Happy Camping ya all. read more

We are first time KOA-ers - stayed at one KOA in Ohio (Holiday type) on the way to NY. When we arrived, it took 45 minutes to check in due to only having one staff member available (even though I saw others in the building). Waiting in line for that long was insane, especially with 3 young kids in the car. The "new/deluxe" cabins are so terrible! When we walked in, we were overwhelmed with a strong chemical smell that seemed like it was covering something. The layout is ridiculous. Having the kids bunks in a hallway one foot from the bathroom with no air or ventilation is insane. Who came up with that design?? It was impossible to cool it down and getting to the bathroom was a nightmare. The ladder for the top bunk also blocked the door handle. The door itself was in a broken frame (literally the wooden piece was off the second we arrived and had nails sticking out). There is rust all over the fridge, handles, and showerhead. Clearly the cabin isn't sealed properly because everything was wet inside, everyday. The lamp over the full size bed sparked a flame when it was moved (seriously dangerous in a wood cabin). The rails are covered in what looks like mold. The blinds don't cover the windows at all so you can't block anything out. And for the love.... The map shows the cabins surrounded by blue but in person, it looks like a dumping ground. The"pond" is being used to dump dirt. The other side of the street is overgrown and has an old trailer just sitting there. There was no hand soap in the "full" bathroom (that had no bath which i assumed was a part of a full bathroom - again, this is in comparison with the KOA in Ohio). The window in the bathroom doesn't seal either and constantly leaks in humidity. The linens that came included dont even have a bottom sheet. The staff member i asked said that people use the top sheet. Why would you claim linens are included if there isn't a sheet set?? Out of the 2, the bottom sheet seems way more important than the top which doesn't at all cover the bunk mattress or stay in place. The description of the resort style KOA doesn't match what's available at all. The resort pool and second pool had no chairs and just round benches. The pools were gross and not cleaned. The spray ground (which is the main reason my kids wanted to stay there) was closed the entire time. The mini golf course is disgusting. The jump pillow was deflated and we had to ask to inflate it at 1 pm. There was no food available and I thought that was a part of a resort KOA. There were no activities or games. It felt like a huge let down and not at all what the site describes! For 226 a night PLUS extra money for the kids, it really felt like a huge rip off. Owner basically responded with: "You should stay elsewhere next time." We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA Resort in a Cabin. read more

Went there for a family vacation and should have known something was up when the nighty spots were empty. There are 3 pools and a spash pad none of these were open for the first 3 days of our stay in 90+ degree weather with no compensation after that only one pool was open. One bath house was also closed. Things were run down, not taken care of sites were close with my neighbors fire put about 5 feet away from ours! Not to mention we couldn't have a fire due to the rotting, uneven fire ring on our site. Woke up one morning to a gentleman mowing the lawn in our site. Save your money and go else where. read more

okay, so i was just driving the golf cart (i'm 14) and i know it's against the rules but i had my dad next to me, and i was on the correct side of the road going 5 mph and we get pulled over by the koa worker which is okay, then we switched and went back to our cabin. but then two koa workers came and said that there were many complaints of a kid driving a golf cart (which i think it's bull and i believe hat it was just the koa worker guy) and took away the $150 golf cart that we rented for three days but we only had it for 6 hours. do you know how guilty i felt? i don't have a job, i'm trying to get one and i applied for one, but i want to repay my father back. i don't know how. i believe that a camp should have strict rules. we want to have fun, not have so many rules. this guy ruined the fun i was having on the first day here. do i want to come back?? no. i would never. just let us have fun and not feel guilty for having fun. not only that, our cabin was probably ready around 11 am and we checked out at 3 but arrived at 2. we obviously wanted to settle at the cabin, but we couldn't. why? it wasn't allowed. that is the stupidest thing i've heard all summer. this is only my first day here, 3 more to come. it's probably going to get worse. i love the place, but don't like most of the workers and rules. never coming back here again. read more
