We checked in and was also able to get late check-out. Our room overlooked the parking area and out into the nearby businesses. I liked the layout of the room [as you walk in, the door opens to the kitchen and a high counter separates the living/work space. The bedroom and bathroom are to the left out of direct site if the main door was open]. It was also clean and comfortable. The room is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and a 2-burner stove (we didn't use since it was a short stay). There was also a dishwasher we did not use. Complementary breakfast was very good. There was an egg & spinach quich that was delicious! Cheddar biscuits and other pastries was also available along with muffins, boiled eggs, oatmeal & other cereals, yogurt, fruits, and a coffee bar. Nearby, there is a publix supermarket and a few fast food eateries within walking distance. The hotel offered ample parking and a well-lit lot. I did not use any other amenities, so I cannot speak for those. However, everything I used was amazing! I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel includes breakfast and was about a 40-50 minute car ride to the airport. Staff were always pleasant whether it was at the check-in desk, housekeeping, or when we were getting breakfast. Get there early for breakfast. There are warm cinnamon rolls, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, a pancake machine, potatoes, cereal, yogurt. From our experience, they stop refilling the breakfast food around 10:15 am, and it ends at 11 am. The pool rarely had anyone and was a decent size. The chairs had spider webs on them, so one improvement would be to have those wiped down. There was also an outdoor area where guests could enjoy tables with little fires on them in the evening. We were never outside at night, so I don't know if that part was still functional. There was ample parking on all sides of the building, and this hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Aldi, Taco Bell, Walmart, Waffle House, and a few other establishments. It is about a 10-minute drive to the town square, where Mystic Grill and the clock tower are for any TVD fans. The room was spacious for two people and was clean. I liked that there was a mini fridge, a Keurig, and a microwave. Most of the hotels I've stayed at in recent years did not have a microwave. I took off a star because the bathroom door does not provide much privacy, and the elevator swings a bit when you step onto it. a bit when you step onto it. Additionally, our TV did not work, and all of the TVs on the lobby level had lines through them. This was a comfortable location to stay, and I would consider staying here again.

The bagels were old and hard and it was just overall really disappointing. The staff was okay, not super nice or anything, just simply did their job. The followed us around like he thought we (my children and I) were up to no good. The room was dark and unwelcoming (like the entire hotel) with no ventilation (not even in the bathroom). There was a bathtub but no stopper so my kids couldn't bathe. The beds were so uncomfortable (lumpy and hard) my back was killing me in the morning. There are no sound barriers between rooms. I could hear dogs barking and babies crying all day and night. However that wasn't the worst. The worst was the basketball or wrestling team that was practicing until 4am above us. My dogs were on edge all night and my kids kept being woken up. Finally morning came and we went to breakfast at 9:45am. We were told in a very rude tone that breakfast ends at 10 and the attendant WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT be putting more food out. Not that we were wanted any of it because it was so gross looking (even the two tangerines that were so dried out it was disturbing). At 9:55 the attendant turned off the lights because she said "we're closing at 10, so hurry up and get your stuff and go". Wow! For almost $200 I expected more- SHAME ON YOU La Quinta!

Customer service is a joke because they just beg you over and over for a second chance, when the manager said housekeeping would be up shortly to change the "dirty" sheets and they do 24 hours later. And while on the phone with customer service, the fan in the bathroom literally falls from the ceiling. I want my money back, but now I'm being completely ignored. The audacity of a company to allow people to stay in conditions like this is unacceptable, and yet they have no problem doing so. Run away from this trash.
