My wife and I checked in around midnight after a 17 1/2 hour drive from San Antonio. When we checked in, my wife's card was double charged. Then, when we went upstairs to take showers and get settled, we discovered that the water pressure was very weak, and the water got only lukewarm. Then, I crawled into bed and began scrolling on my phone. It wasn't long before I felt something stinging me on my hands. I looked down and discovered ants, crawling on my hands and then something bit me on my neck and on my lower waist about the same time. I jumped out of bed and discovered fleas on my pillow and large bugs crawling all over my mattress underneath the covers. I began knocking them out the bed, but my wife told me to stop and take a video of them. So I did and reported it to the front desk. The front desk lady was very nice and responded appropriately, moving us to another room, but it was two floors up and we had to move all of our things and we were already very very tired. This is the second bad experience we've had with Hampton Inns. I do a bit of traveling for my home state and have discovered that some of the Hampton Inns appear to be a little old and worn. When I was in college, I worked as a hotel housekeeper, and from firsthand experience, I can tell you that their housekeeping standards leave much to be desired. The issue was addressed by hotel management and eventually elevated to the general manager, who contacted me and made things right. The most amazing part of our stay was cutting up with the two ladies working the front desk. So sweet! The hotel is located amongst a few other hotels, a Chili's and a gas station. We felt completely safe. Parking lot was well lit. The grounds were nice as was the lobby area. We stayed in a 2 queen room. It was clean but a little worn here and there. To be expected. We did not care for the firm mattresses but we know that is always a crap shoot. I really wish Hotel Brands required the owners to all have the same set up (mattresses, furniture, etc). It would be nice to have a standard that customers could expect to find at $150+ per night. read more

The entrance and facilities downstairs were nice and clean. That is where the updates stop. My room was in need of service. From the faucet that sprays water all over the place to the mattress that was well past its prime. It felt like I was sleeping on a decline all night. Manager is the worst representation of Hilton I have ever seen. Charged double the rate I was quoted and at checkout he refused to make correction to my bill. I was charged double the rate I should have. Worst customer service I have ever had. I am so disappointed in the hilton brand simply from this experience. The hotel is located 7minutes from downtown Covington. There was a holiday inn Express right next to Hampton inn and interstate 20. Our flight got in early so I called for a early check in but they said to call back. Requested late check out but wasn't given. The dining area appears renovated. There was a strawberry water and hot coffee and tea. The room was not too big with a spacious bathroom. Refrigerator made too much of a noise that it had to be turned off. Had to turn off the air conditioning due to a noise. I had called for extra hand towels and the front desk person said to come down and get the towels. I said to her I am in pajamas and she delivered towels. The breakfast wasn't too good. Will be staying in another hotel when in the area. read more

This is a nice hotel we stayed at while visiting family. The continental breakfast included eggs, a meat, cereals, make your own waffles, pastries, smoothies, juice, milk, coffee. The steak and eggs were tasty. The room was nice and clean. We were able to pay ahead for the room to be stocked with snacks and that was a nice feature based on what was provided. There was an adorable cat that hangs around outside and is very friendly. I know that isn't usually a draw for a hotel, but I enjoyed having the cat walk around with me when I was checking out the pool. One night manager wasn't overly friendly or helpful, but she seemed to be the only person on staff like this, so it didn't ruin our stay. We'll probably go back when visiting family again. read more

This was the best Hampton experience. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made our stay so pleasant. The rooms were clean and in good repair. Microwave and fridge, WiFi etc! The breakfast was nicely laid out and again the staff was very friendly. The housekeeping staff was also very kind and as I said our room was great. This hotel is a fairly typical Hampton Inn as to the rooms and the main facility, it appeared to be almost brand new. The breakfast is of course good with a decent selection (and is free, always nice). The room was clean and spacious and they had an interestingly stocked "mini-mart" which did not have like any diet soda or water but I'm always happy to see these since I don't usually have a car when I travel. In comparing this to other Hampton Inns it comes in at even. Two reasons I like this hotel in particular to other Hampton Inns. 1) Common Areas & Meeting Spaces: The common areas were very nice and beautiful. I liked the style of the lobby and the breakfast area. The meeting space we rented was spacious (not a cramped "Board room" like most hotels) and had room to unpack our stuff and move around. 2) The shower: I'm going to be honest, the shower was awesome and huge! Women you would have an easy time with the 800 bottles and things you need to take that 45min shower you love; and men, there is room for two. *smirk* To be serious, I always hate taking a shower in a tiny little tub and the curtain keeps blowing into you and sticking to you so this was an extremely welcome change. Overall, I totally recommend you stay here if you are rolling through town. read more

As a Diamond member I don't review much but can't help myself when service is above and beyond and when service is horrible. When I entered the hotel I was greeted by Zeke. I was greeted while he stared at my girlfriends tits. I ignored this. During the check in process I asked if he had any upgrades available. He said no we are booked tonight. I decided to check my app just to see. So I said to him you don't have this king suite with sofa bed available that is listed online. He said I can check again which honestly would be checking for the first time. He never said a word to me. He updated the check in sheet and gave me new key cards. We get to our room and it was the same room that we booked. In this room the shower has warm water at best and the TV has a nice blue hue to it. When I went downstairs to get something out of the car there was someone else at the desk. I asked him if they had any king bed suites with sofa bed available and he said yes. I'm absolutely appalled by the horrible customer service and deliberate lies and keep in mind I'm a Diamond member. read more

Called the front desk and she came up there and we found a bug. Ive never seen bed bugs so didnt know what it was. Switched all bed clothes and the very next night i got attacked again. Centrally located in Covington GA, this hotel features a lot of amenities. Heart warming cookies placed at the welcoming desk. Cold fresh water and coffee available 24 hours at the entrance door. Great customer service at front desk. Hotel has a pool, gym, business area, and lobby area. The bed was extra comfy. I enjoyed the pillows especially, fluffy. It has almost everything i needed, microwave, tv, and small mini fridge.The bathroom is cleaned. They have complimentary breakfast, which is great, wish people would have showed up more. The lobby, lounge, or breakfast area is half empty. It's great for entertainment, working, and eating. Breakfast is from 6-10 AM, people migrate to the breakfast area during early hours. One thing i can not sympathize is the mystery breakfast every morning. Who comes up with this breakfast menu? Everyday there is something new, mysterious, and gross. I'm not inspire eating cheese omlet twice a week It does not look apetizing. Eggs, cheese, and ham? No thanks. Why not just call it green eggs and ham? Lol Several people came up to the staff asking them what is that.. ??I wonder the same thing too, so did my friends who were staying at the hotel. To my dismay it was breakfast on a bagel, it looked like pizza on a bagel, tomato sauce, eggs, and chopped green beans served with dry diced bake potato. Ok How hard is it for these people to make a classic all american breakfast? Which should have been scramble eggs, sausages, steak, hash brown, or bacon involved.... Here we get mystery breakfast, first the pizza bagel now green eggs and ham? I seen so many people lose apettite or don't show up at breakfast anymore. It apparently became so bad to the point we had to buy our own breakfast. They can keep coming up with all sorts of crazy breakfast ideas, that people can't identify. It's a waste of food, really. Ok, so this hotel is located in the middle of nowhere with not much surrounding it. There's a gas station across the street, but other than that... its all driving distance. I came into town for a friend's wedding and this was the hotel she selected for her friends and family that came from out of town. The hotel was clean and well air conditioned. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom had tons of counter space and lots of towels. If you forgot toothbrushes, razors, etc. the hotel has them for you. Also, there is a pool and a business center with computers and internet. The best part was the complementary breakfast in the morning. Its not your typical continental style breakfast. There were eggs with cheese, turkey sausage, a make your own waffle bar, fruits, cereal, coffee, tea, juices, danishes, french toast, etc. The only thing missing was hash browns. read more

But, heaven forbid you complain or ask management to make it right, management blames you for their issues. From the switching of reserved rooms to the wet hotel floor to the breakfast area not having enough food, we moved hotels after one night. I am a HUGE Hampton Inn fan and silver member, but I am a Holiday Inn after my last stay. We were displaced due to a house fire and our insurance company put us up in the hotel. After the stress of the fire ordeal, we were worried checking in and dealing with staying in a hotel for an unknown amount of time would be too much. Thankfully there were no issues at all. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as easy as possible. We had our lab mix with us and they treated her just like one of the family. Always petting her and giving her treats. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were clean, as was the facility. The breakfast in the mornings were fantastic and they always had something new. We only stayed a week before we were moved to a long term temp house, but that week, that could have been horrific, was a little brighter thanks to the staff. We stayed at this hotel during our evacuation from Hurricane Irma. It appeared as if the hotel was booked entirely by evacuees. There aren't enough words to describe the generosity and kindness that we were shown. It was unbelievable on several occasions. Every single staff member, no matter the hour, went above and beyond their responsibilities and duties to make sure we were all taken care of. It helped to take away some of the stress as to what we would soon be coming home to after the storm had passed. I have to give a special "thank you" to Janice, who works the overnight shift, for taking care of our initial reservation and checking on us throughout our entire stay. Check in was as expected, room was well appointed & the bed was very comfortable, pillows were great [choice of firm or soft]. We were glad to see they had a walking shower, so many places still have tub/shower. Night light in bath was a plus too. Wi-Fi was ok. There were a couple of bus loads of school kids but the room was quiet enough that you couldn't hear them. Breakfast was good, omelet, turkey sausage, bagels, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal along with the dry cereal, I think even kids could find something to eat. We would stay here again. read more

I love the accomodations, and the hotel is visually appealing. However, the only places that deliver are pizza hut, dominoes, and some other pizza place. It is very quiet, and really clean.
