the exterior front drive-up is like arriving at a rundown building. the landscaping is a disaster. Hotels.com said we get Breakfast, NOT, no food not even coffee in the lobby. in the room the shower curtain and towel rack was falling off, no toilet paper holder, only 2 old worn-out towels and wash clothes. nice guys at the front desk but the pool and jacuzzi totally not operational. the structure of the building with the bar and lobby has potential but a total buyout and new ownership with major renovations are needed. whatever contractors they hire to fix the rooms, should never be hired as there are bad cracks all around the ceiling of the room as if there has been an earthquake, the drywalled ceiling is poorly done and the pain in the bathroom is uneven and also cracks everywhere. and.. very small tv, small coffee pot in the room. no thermostat for the in-room ac-heater. open wiring in the uncovered electrical outlet... fair price, ok but avoid. read more

I checked into this hotel around 8pm on Sunday (NYE) evening because I was traveling from Ohio to my home in San Antonio. I paid $72.72 for the room. I know it's supposed to be cheap but... here's what I found: Roaches in the bathroom sink Dirty baseboards in the bathroom A carpet that seems to not have been replaced since the 1970s and had loose strings and napping that could have easily been tripped over A fist-sized hole in the back of the bathroom door Scratches/marring on the headboard, dresser, nightstands No coffee maker in the room NO breakfast served - website says served from 6-9am - I checked out between 6:30 and 6:45 am and there was no breakfast being served or even being prepared. A wall hanger for a photo or something that was just painted over - if someone wasn't really careful, they could have cut themself or something The ENTIRE HOTEL stunk of cigarette and marijuana smoke. Paint splotches on the carpet Holes in the wall Cigarette burns on the carpet Cracks in the bathroom tile Hairs (not mine) on the bathroom floor and in the tub Water stains on the floor around the toilet A leaky shower head - dripped constantly A soap packet that had previously used soap on the OUTSIDE - this is a health issue! I am appalled by the condition of the room and disappointed that, with the reputation Wyndham is supposed to have, the hotel has not been updated or renovated in many, many years. This hotel was disgusting. The mattress smelled of pee and was so dirty. The staff was AWFUL amd rude. The disrespect from the cleaning staff was horrible. I would leave no stars if I could. Roach infested, have to complain to get housekeeping and they gave me towels soiled with feces. The bathroom is disgusting and carpets are even worse. The General Manager famous words are "If you don't like it don't stay here" also will give you a confirmation with one amount then charge more when you get there. Worst experience EVER. Very unprofessional and unhelpful staff. First of all, no where in my confirmation paperwork did it say anything about a $30 deposit fee. Although the lady promised me it would be returned upon check out. Later that night as we were going to sleep the headboard of the bed just fell out of the wall and easily could have hurt us! There was multiple holes in the wall making it obvious this has happened before yet they said WE BROKE THE BED AND HEAD BOARD. The headboard was not even connected to the bed, just poorly screwed into the wall making it so easy to fall right back out. We did not have to put any force to it. They are overcharging me for their problem and lied straight to my face when we informed them upon checkout about what happened she assured me i would not have to pay. The AC stopped working multiple times and we had to search the entire room for the TV remote. The fridge did not get cool and the bedside lamp did not turn on. They are not helping us at all even after we were nothing but honest and respectful. Do not waste your time here, they are a JOKE. They think it's okay to lie to their customers and accuse them of breaking things that were already broken. read more

Upon arrival, the front desk manager (clerk) was arguing with the cleaning staff while checking me in. She had a few choice words to say during the exchange. It took a bit to check in because she had to pause for the exchange and deleted my info in the process. The rooms were not super clean and the overall cleanliness of the hotel as a whole was not great. The restrooms in the front lobby were disgusting and full of toilet paper. The breakfast was small and not much to choose from. The halls were hot with no air circulation. Thank goodness it was only a one night stay. We will probably look for a different hotel the next time in Sherman. read more

We just left a birthday party that the parents rented the event room for....SAVE your money! It was so hot in there! We asked several times for the AC to be turned on and the guy at the desk said he would try? One of the elders even told them she's prone to seizures and still no AC. After being there for over 2 hours finally got some fans but that just blows the hot air around. Sad when it's cooler outside. Definitely will not recommend anyone wasting their money here. read more

The shower leaked everywhere, the walls and floors were severely cracked! They did nothing! I used 6 towels to clean do do off the floor. The toilet tank had no insides, & was leaning against the wall. You may be using that towels tonight on your kids. Breakfast, YOUR EYES ARE RIGHT! Don't eat!! Except for the lobby the a/c is not turned on they have a small fan on the receptionist desk when is 106 degrees outside and in feel like a sauna inside the lobby that is not a proper working environment for the staff that has to be there under those conditions all day, hope owner/'management is aware of this and fix it I'm sure the money your saving by not using the a/c is worth a legal/fine issue with OSHA !!!! read more

I had an agreement with this hotel that guests for my wedding would be given a special discount. I set this up in early August right after moving to Sherman from Dallas. After having MULTIPLE family members tell me that they were treated extremely rudely and not given the special promised rates I tried for a WEEK to contact the manager. In the 6 times I went to the hotel, not once was there someone at the desk. There were TONS of super shady people though. One of the staff I talked to had a name tag that labeled her "Front Desk Manager" but, as management, thought it was ok to talk to the maintenance man about me in Spanish while I was standing there (apparently she doesn't believe a blond white girl understands Spanish). After being told that she could make a reservation under any rate I wanted but that doesn't mean I would get it because she didn't have any papers showing that I was promised that, I started calling and visiting this location EVERY day - leaving a card with my name EVERY time - to speak with the actual manager. Tonight was my lucky night! She was FINALLY there. When I stated that I'd been trying to reach her for a week she turned on the attitude and asked me what my name was. I told her and she LITERALLY shrugs and said "And?". Uhmmm. Charm school graduate she is definitely not. Being optimistic, I thought she could help me since SHE WAS THE ONE I ORIGINALLY TALKED TO ABOUT THE RATE. Suddenly she had amnesia. Blamed it on the manager before her (which is a lie) and stated that since I didn't have anything in writing (WHICH I'D ASKED FOR BUT WAS TOLD I DIDN'T NEED IN AUGUST) there wasn't anything she could do and it wasn't her problem. I asked to speak to the owner and was told, "She doesn't talk to people." My family is paying DOUBLE in some cases of what the original agreed upon rate was. This hotel management is AWFUL. Do not book events or rooms. What I didn't know when I first moved to Sherman is that this is a HORRIBLE part of town. Drugs. Prostitution. Homeless. EVERYWHERE. When I said I was going to ask the 10 people who have reservations there to move to another hotel the manager shrugged again and said, "Ok." She could not have cared less. So now, in addition to having to worry about a wedding 6 days away I have to worry about apologizing to my family for the awful treatment they are receiving. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. Luckily, I work somewhere in the community where I have access to a LOT of people every day and I can promise you I will bring up my awful experience at EVERY opportunity. read more

Awful! Walked into to check in and the lady was rude. Seemed upset that I was checking in. Got to our room. Not too terribly bad. It was a room. Turned air down to 60 just to get it bearable in the room. Only one channel on the smart tv. Breakfast available was very lacking. Rubber biscuits with stale watery gravy. The cover on the only thing warm was extremely hot to the touch. Only juice available was apple and some watered down flavored water. Pastry selection was stale and hard. No fruit. Once we finally found them, the milk containers were empty. They weren't labeled and were in insulated thermos' and put in the mini fridge. There were 3 yogurt cups in that same fridge. Floor in the breakfast area was filthy. Doesn't look like it has been cleaned/swept in a couple of days. Couldn't ask for any assistance because not one employee was around. Not even the reception person. Other common areas of the hotel were clean and nice. When we left at 830 am, we were the only ones around. With the exception of the few guys loitering in the parking lot that were there the last time we went out to our car just before midnight. Sketchy place. Definitely not worth the price. I can't speak for the other reviews. Is this place great? No. But is it decent to good, particularly for the weekly rate? Yes. The rooms were renovated in the past year and I found them clean and nice for the price. As for the staff, it is only the manager that is still inept. She doesn't speak English well and doesn't seem to have a clue as to what she's doing. Nepotism, as here sister owns the place. As for the rest of the staff, I've found them very pleasant and helpful, and anything I needed was taken care of, so long as I didn't ask the manager. read more

I cannot even explain the amount of discust that I am feeling right now from my experience with this place. We checked in, they gave us the wrong room.. Wasn't a big deal. So we were given another room, which I was fine with. But when I opened the door. There were blood stains on the floor.. The bed was bare, there were pillows spread across the room and it had a disgusting smell. Tissues everywhere. Disgusting. The employee seemed less than sympathetic and gave us the original room again. With a mini fridge. I explained to the employee, this obviously wasn't his fault. But I have never seen such poor customer service! Please do not stay here. It has been a pain since I walked through the door. You would think that an employee would care about an upset customer. Did not say sorry. He actually had an attitude while bringing the mini fridge back. I want my money back. Will not be coming here again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I checked in at 11:00pm and our 1st room was not clean. The bed was not made up so I assume the sheets haven't been changed. There was a dirty towel on the desk, no clean towels in bathroom, and a lighter in the middle of the floor. We were sent to a second room in which the room was cleaner and bed was made up but the AC was off in both the room and hallway. The room showed to be 90 degrees. The AC took several hours to cool down the room to attempt to sleep, by this time it is well past 1am. Neither my wife and I could sleep. The shower curtain rod was almost falling off the wall to the point that it is a safety hazard. Breakfast was a joke, no coffee, no fruit, 1 hard biscuit, the only edible items were cold cereal, muffin and waffle. We explain our poor visit to 2 people upon checkout and the only 1 to talk said he just started yesterday. They offered no solution and very little concern. Absolutely no customer service at the front desk. The housekeeper as we were leaving the room showed more concern. We will never stay at another Days Inn. read more
