I would NEVER stay here again! The room smelled like cigarette and Mary Jane. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The blankets and sheets all had what looked like blood and dirty on them. The pillows had grease leftovers from someone else. The carpets need to be treated for pests. The bathroom light were dull. The stand up shower did not drain properly. The whole room lighting was very dim. Someone wanted to knock on my door before I checked out of my room and attempted to come in before I was checked out. I had the door locked and the door jammer on but still! This is NOT A HOTEL you want to stay in! Construction is everywhere right now too June 2025. When I go back again I WILL NOT stay here! Horrible filthy mess of a property in both rooms we were given. Disgustingly filthy bath tubs; clogged toilets and fridge/freezer plus there was urine stains (or something) on the cover; the sofa bed was so dirty we couldn't sit on it and the fridge/freezer had old food and grime in them. The 2nd room smelled of smoke and the bathroom door literally hit the toilet when you opened it. We arrived at the Hotel a day early because my Son who is the Head Football Coach of a High School in ALABAMA was playing Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Troy University Stadium. We were meet at the Front Desk by Michelle and I give her 10 stars. We asked where to go to get some good food and her recommendation was very good and in walking distance. She was very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and patient. I loved that about her. We were in Room 101 and the phone in the room didn't work, the lamp didn't work on the table and there was a ceiling fan in the middle of the ceiling but there was no light for the whole room. Our room smell good and it was clean. However, I always travel with my cleaning supplies so I clean and sanitize it again. Because I feel assured that way. The next day we were told housekeeping didn't show up. Therefore, we cleaned our rooms, gather the trash and made sure everything was in the right place. I had reported to Michelle on Thursday about the items that didn't work and she said she would tell the manager and he would take care of it Friday but he didn't, nor did he stop by our room. But, early that Friday morning as I was going to the bathroom a roach was crawling across the bathroom floor I took a picture. Next, as we were leaving Saturday around 10:05 am I was putting my clothes in the car and the room key went red. I couldn't get back in. I explain to the Customer Service Furges ( I apologize if I spelled her name wrong). But, she did my card twice and it didn't work eventually she came with me and was asking me all types of questions in other words she was rushing me to get out. I told her that I was only putting my things in my car so I can leave. Plus, it was just 10:10 am and check out time is at 11:00 am. I explained to her that my card is not going to work no matter how many times she taps it on the door. Because it keeps showing a red button . I told her unless it shows green you can't get in the room, then she finally used her white tab key and it turned green and I was able to get my things. She asked me how many trips are you going to make? I replied one! I just need to do one and I'm out of here. She told me to put the key my sister had in the room but I gave it to her in person. I asked her did she take my complaint down for the manager and she said No. But, at first she had said yes and repeated my room number 101 back too me. But, later as I'm talking to her the phone rings and she tells me your good to go. I'm very disappointed in my stay at this hotel. The breakfast was pitiful. The orange juice was watered down until it wasn't juice, the muffins so tiny and dry and not good at all. The only thing hot was to make your own waffles. Also, the best thing about this hotel is the location where you can get breakfast, much, dinner at so many restaurants and nice places to shop. Plus, Michelle at the front desk was very good customer service. However, I do want to be compensated for such a bad experience. I never seen a place of business where the manager is never there and Housekeeping doesn't show up.But, Housekeeping did come in on Saturday. However, that's an alarm alert in Human Resources that should be investigated. Today, Monday October 30, 2023, I put in my complaint with Wyndham Customer Service with Phoebe and she apologized and stated I will get a response concerning my complaint in a week by Customer Care or the property. Well, the reviews on Windham's own app were pretty bad, so before making a reservation I decided to call the hotel directly. I have a pretty wide experience with hotels, I am a Diamond member with Windham. I asked the gentleman who answered the phone for the name of the general manager. He said "Harry" with a tone that indicated he thought he was joking. So I asked for the full name of the general manager, and he answered, "Harry Mystery". So now I understand the attitude that generates one star reviews and comments like "dirty" and "roaches" on the Windham app. I am afraid I decided I don't need to go see the dirt or roaches myself, and Mr. Mystery seems to be right in being too ashamed to use his real name. read more

I would not recommend this place to ANYBODY! My mom said she had 2 adults and 4 children and when we tried to get in to the pool, the owner said she lied but my mom also said she had 1 of her children were handicap and can't go upstairs. The owner said she lied saying she had 1 kid. NO SHE DIDNT! Then when we get back to our room she calls the phone in the room cursing at her. My mom wasn't even being rude to her! Also when I walking in to the room to check the place out the were like 5 water bugs sit there eating in the bathroom. Also I found some on the beds and stuff!!!! Reading the reviews on here, they definitely cleaned up their act with no bugs but still not the cleanest place and there is a reason why it was the only hotel not full in Troy. The morning breakfast was actually okay because of the coffee and pancake maker. Still smelled musty and just felt so dirty and the lighting wasn't good the TV needed an upgrade but it's cheap and a little better then what it was. read more

I paid way too much for this room. Prices were more than double normal rates because all hotels were booked up. The fridge was not cold enough at all. Rooms were comfortable. The pool looked clean but very small. The hallways smelled bad but thankfully the room did not. I would stay here again if rates were lower. read more

Security: Well-lit parking lot at night. The hotel was within walking distance to shopping area & restaurants. Room: For $65, I was NOT impressed! Microwave, fridge, Iron and ironing board. The fridge wasn't very cold. I dared not use the iron nor the board as there were stains from previous guests all over them. Double beds as booked with a desk and office chair, as well as a small loveseat. The bed was very comfortable for my liking. Cable t.v. Free WiFi--although, I didn't use it in the room. I was too afraid of someone hacking my accounts! The room smelled like mildew & the hallway smelled like nicotine. The AC unit lacked freon, which left the room a bit warm for my family, but was comfortable to me. Bathroom: Small & questionable to use. I feared getting in the shower. Thus, I have no review of the water pressure. Breakfast: I don't know if they served breakfast & even if they did, I wouldn't have eaten it. Only pro- night staff lady was so nice! CONS- the smell OMG the smell! Non smoking smelled like a mixture of years of cigarette and marijuana smoke with a sprinkle of musk and filth! Booked late evening at this pet friendly hotel after a rainy 15 hr drive. The room was dirty & needed repair. I wasn't able to leave due to weather and exhaustion but reported on my way out. Also contacted corporate with pictures. Neither corporate or local staff were particularly concerned even after seeing these pictures. Filthy walls and doors, stains on chair and bed, hole in the wall , loose warped flooring, and baseboard unattached. Even the kneenex box was used. This place was a real life roach motel. We walked in to 4 roaches in the bathtub and the smell of cigarettes in a non smoking room. The floor was nasty looking and even the sheets were questionable as to their cleanliness. The toilet rocked and wasn't secure at all. The television was hung crooked too. I had no choice but to stay as there were no other available rooms in the area and we were too tired to drive the 2 plus hours home. We walked next door to get some food and came back to another roach in the bathroom. They refused a refund as we obviously had no choice but to stay and sleep with the lights on. We were happy to find a room with 3 queen beds and that allowed dogs and the price was good. The room had been recently renovated, the beds were comfortable and the pillows nice. That is where the good ends. The room was non smoking but it had obviously been used for smoking marijuana A LOT. The bathroom fan and the AC unit blew stinking air all night. The mirror in the room was filthy, and the floors were so dirty I was disgusted to walk bare foot. It looked dirty in the dark. The door had obviously been kicked in before. The latch was replaced and the screws seemed to be adequately sized, but still it was disturbing and the door frame was not replaced. One of my favorite hotels in Troy. Prices are reasonable, rooms have always been clean, and the Days Inn has a great location located between the university and Walmart, Troy's two major attractions! Staff is reasonably friendly, the hotel is located in a safe neighborhood, and the continental breakfast is serviceable and includes waffles. For those coming to town for Troy Trojans football games, I believe a shuttle service is often offered to get you to the games. Bottom line: Good value with the basic necessities. So, a caveat to this rating is, I'm rating it in comparison to other similar accommodations. I'm not rating it against luxury hotels and the like. We needed a place to stay for several weeks with our pets. The bed was good, the shower was hot, and the cable tv worked great. The rooms are a little dingy and there were a few roaches about but I decided to go with the four stars due to the staff. The people at the desk were always very nice and housekeeping was great: always making sure our trash was taken out and we had fresh towels. For a nice cheap place to stay I really have no complaints except the few roaches. Oh and they actually have a decent breakfast! There are mini muffins and cereal but there is also eggs and sausage and if you are so inclined you can make your own waffles with the batter provided. read more

They changed us to another room and it also smelled like smoke. Worst of all was the bugs. I killed 5 roaches when I went in the bath room.
