The pool was never open during the heat wave, each day it was promised to be open the next day. Never happened. The room's air conditioner barely worked and the ice machine might as well have been out of order. Not a place to stay when you have kids. read more

I've stayed here twice on my way into Colorado. Great stopping point from Texas. Staff is friendly and quick on check in. Great service. Rooms are great and clean. Would not hesitate to stay here. There is also a great restaurant across the way called Three Sisters. read more

This is the only place to stay in Colorado City which means that this place is in no hurry to join the 21st century! We spent one night here when visiting family in San Isabel. It is not only old looking on the outside, but in need of some modernization inside as well. For an experienced traveler, this is no 4 or 5 star experience! And for me it was not even a 3! The rooms are large. Ours had a king bed, sofa and table with two chairs. And we still had room for our daughter's crib. So that was the positive side, along with the low price! It was hard to get a good night's sleep for a few reasons. The bed was hard and so I woke up with back pain. My husband complained of the same problem. The room was loud. The walls are thin and the room had a connecting door to the room next door with a large gap at the bottom. This meant we heard every word of our loud neighbor who did not stop talking until after 12:30. I realize that is not the hotel's fault that our neighbor was so rude, but since we were booked as two rooms, they should have put us together with the connecting door. The air conditioning did not seem to work well. We we got to the room, the temperature on the unit said 66 and yet it was hot in the room. We lowered it to 64 to get the air going and finally settled on 67 for the night. It was definitely not 67 in there! If you have options while traveling and don't have to stay in Colorado City, I would skip this place. read more

I'm giving this a 4 star. It's not a bad spot, I had my doubts. Pros: Great Staff. The Chinese restaurant they have was excellent, they are starting to open a bar. The bar tenders are awesome and the shots and beer are cheap, I told them they make more money selling them for more. The rooms are decent, kind of outdated but it didn't bother me, it's not like I was going to spend all day in the room. Free breakfast, I heard from friends it was good but I didn't wake up early enough to enjoy it. Cons: Looks like a dump and the tvs are way outdated. There was a issue with the water being brown, they said it was from the recent rains, after a day the water was fine. There is a design flaw with the countertops and the toilet, you can't lift up the toilet seat up because the countertop blocks the seat and it keeps falling so us men have to rely on pissing between the gap of the seat and you know it's not easy to keep piss off the seat. Other than those issues I saw nothing else wrong. As for bedbugs: We had about 20 rooms taken up from all the friends and family coming for the wedding that was taking place in the area, I head nothing about bed bugs nor did I see anything so maybe they cleaned up the mess but as of now I saw none and head no complaints. In the end a decent place to crash for the night, don't let the looks deter you from staying. read more

Clean, quiet and friendly. It's the only local hotel that I'm aware of and it's not a bad place to stay. The man at the front desk was very polite. I would stay if I was in the area again. One of the quietest hotels we've stayed in even quieter than a lot more upscale hotels. read more

So we were traveling to Pueblo and had no idea that the Colorado State Fair was going on and everything around Pueblo was booked. So The Days Inn 20 minutes south off I-25 ended up being our savior. And it was just fine. So is it a 4 or 5 star hotel. Of course not. It's a Days Inn in the middle of NOWHERE. But it fit the bill for us. Room was fine if a bit outdated. But we met the owner (Bob) who was there to check us in and he couldn't have been nicer. And they stayed open late past 9pm so we could have food and some drinks at the bar. Very helpful. All in all, keeping our expectations in check for a DAYS INN IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, Bob and his hotel were perfect. Thanks again. read more

For the price, this hotel is wonderful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was good too. Absolutely no complaints; but I will say the outside appearance is not pretty (but does not match the inside at all). Skip the Chinese restaurant in the hotel and go to Three Sisters across the street. read more

My mom and I have been traveling across the US, we started in Miami and so far out of all the hotels that we have stayed in this has been the best! The man working in he front desk was very nice and sweet. During the breakfast this morning he came by and went one by one on everyone asking if they were doing okay and asking how everything was. Our room was nice and clean. Pillows were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean! The breakfast food was good!! Also the view from the dining room is beautiful!! there is nothing but good things that I can say about this place. He was also really nice about me having my ESA animals with me. Nice motel. It's a Days Inn, so don't get carried away. It's clean, nice updated rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent, waffles, eggs and sausage, yogurt, etc. There is a bar and restaurant. Staff is very accommodating. Overall a good place. read more

Recently booked and stayed at Days Inn in Colorado City. They advertised that it was a pet friendly hotel, no fine print. However they charged us a pet deposit. We drove over 1000 miles to the hotel for a wedding. Upon arriving they knew we were there for a wedding, but asked us not to leave the pet in our room all day, because they bark, and then they have to "go get the pet". So we took our dog to the wedding and kept him with us all day. Later that night we had to leave for a couple hours for a dinner, and we couldn't take the dog. So we left him in the room. When we return, the hotel had locked us out of our room, demanded that we pay for the next door guests room, (who had only checked in an hour before). On top of that, they demanded an extra $200, and if we didn't pay, we would be thrown out into the pouring rain with our two children and our dog. All other hotels were completely booked due to weddings, so we had no options. The manager yelled at us for almost two hours, argued with the sheriff's department who said he was wrong, and ignored the guests who wanted to check out. It was absolutely the worst I've ever been treated in the hospitality industry, which I personally worked in for almost 20 years. Not to mention the entire situation was riddled with greed and extortion. We did everything humanly possible to deal with the situation in a respectful manner, but were treated as subhuman. Furthermore, we booked a non-smoking room that reeked of cigarettes, had to ask for air freshener and spray the room ourselves, and had some type of white, crusty stains at the top of one of our comforters... disgusting! 1. The hotel advertised 'pet friendly' and we paid the extra fee to have the dog. No fine print stating we couldn't leave the dog in the room. 2. We were never informed that we would have to pay for other guest's rooms, or a $200 violation fee if our dog disturbed anyone. After filing a police report, calling corporate five times, and filing with the Better Business Bureau, the company still refuses to reimburse the charges. We stayed at other pet friendly hotels on our 3500 mile road trip, not one of them had this type of absurd policy, or greedy service. Shame on you, Days Inn. As a marketing professional, I will make sure to spread the word about the true nature of your service. read more

Do NOT stay here! It is overpriced, and there are bedbugs. When the towels from the first floor are too stained, they dye them tan and move them to the second floor. Rooms are 'cleaned' in less than 10 minutes. read more
