An exceptional store that's been in business for over 30 years. Great variety in f awesome game stuff.

This is one of my favorite board game stores in the country and I go out of my way to visit every time I'm in the area. They are conveniently located in downtown Newark and have ample street parking nearby. I'm always greeted warmly when I stop in and have received help and recommendations from the staff numerous times. I'm always impressed to see game shops these days that still focus a majority of their business on board games instead of Magic cards and figurines (although they do have both of those as well). They have a huge selection of games of all kinds that span 3 rooms within the shop. One of these rooms is dedicated for used game resale and it is always well stocked with great deals. While prices overall at the shop are average, you're going to find games that you can't find anywhere else - Japanese imports, out of prints, rare games, etc. I would highly recommend this shop to any board game enthusiast or anyone looking to add something other than Scrabble and Monopoly to their game night! read more

Heavily biased since im apart of University of Delawares board game club (like the actual leadership of the club), but I love coming here. Smaller than my hometown LGS but has a lot more variety to make up for the smaller collection (especially with ttrpgs. I think I saw some gammaworld stuff in there). Theu also have d100s. We love d100s. Ghe staff theres also great. Ive had conversations with them about old school ttrpgs, magic the gathering, and war games. I also would like to thank the staff for helping somewhat with materials for the board game club. They helped provide both some payment to a local board game con, as well as some mtg booster packs for the mtg tournament we had last decemberish read more

Passing through DE we walked in. Being game aficionados we couldn't resist and it was a pleasure. Wall to wall everything from D&D, Tarot, Star Wars, Star Trek, board games classic, new and old, to chess pieces and chess boards, Rubik's cubes and puzzles. Way in the back they sell used items where you can find treasures like old fashioned Game of Life with paper money not ATM cards! We scored a German board game. So I walked in yesterday because I'm going to be throwing a D&D style dinner and wanted to come see someone who was more knowledgeable than I am so I walked in and told the two guys at the counter about it and that I wanted some recommendations and they just told me they have bags for dice and then went back to watching their anime behind the counter, made me feel like I was wasting my time asking for recommendations from them so I walked around for a bit and left without them ever seeing how I was doing or if I needed help , they were too worried about their show read more

Glad to see a local Tabletop show offering tons of games to purchase for our dorm, apt and home ranging from family games to intimate games to game that will run for hours. There are a variety of games on the shelves and on tables along with the popular Trading Card systems that are popular like Pokemon and Magic the Gathering. We were drawn to the clearance section where my friend walked out with a 3D puzzle set that will most likely remain incomplete for a while. I understand there is an event space but I have not checked it out. I did see that they do offer Dungeons and Dragons sessions along with other types of events. A smart spot being so close to the University of Delaware and Newark Shopping Center; now just have to find a group to game with! Game On! read more

This is a nice game shop in the Udel campus. They have a great selection of board games as well as miniatures, chess sets, card games and more. I love going here to play in their Wednesday night yugioh tournaments. The people are very friendly and even give me advice on how to duel. I love how they have tons of cards to pick from as well. read more

Lot's of options as far as board games, card games, or other nerdy items for sale. Street parking out front, with two lots available, one directly behind the main shop next to the game club, and one next to that (nearby the subway). Two reasons for the lower rating: 1 - The game club. It's a nice enough location behind the main store, but the people are not friendly, and I have had many items stolen from me over time including small items such as dice, and larger items such as an entire binder of trading cards. The judge for Friday Night Magic typically did not seem to be interested in helping new players. The players for pathfinder and D&D are impatient and will likely just kill you if you're not part of the regular's. Very 'clicky' atmosphere - if you're not a regular, you won't feel welcome. Furthermore, I've never attended an event that started on time, which is very frustrating. 2 - The staff seem to be hit or miss. Some of them are friendly and knowledgeable. Others are uninterested and distracted by their cell phones while sitting behind the counter. Fine place to buy board games, if only because of the large selection available. I am in the process of relocating from Houston, TX. I stopped by to check out the store as I had read about it on BGG. The store has an awesome selection of board and card games, including every war and train game available (and some that aren't anymore). I picked up a shrink copy of The Scepter of Zavendor (long out of print) and TI: Rex. The owner took the time to search for another game I wanted, then introduced me to the gaming group ON-SITE!! The store is a little cluttered and the aisles are narrow since that large inventory is hard to display in a relatively small store. I don't consider this an up or down as I enjoyed the time looking through everything. Ups: Amazing selection, Great people, Gaming space Downs: Prices at list (but most brick-and-mortar stores are) To the folks familiar with Houston's game stores: this store has a selection as good or better that Nan's and service and play space as good as Montag's, Asgard, or Little Wars. read more

This is a good place. I went in to purchase some card, board games related miscellany, but I was impressed with the selection of table top and historical gaming materials. This place is easily as well stocked as any place in Atlanta, and its located in Newark, DE! I chatted with the guys here and they were pretty friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I really enjoy board and word games that are unique. We always know we will find something cool here. When I really wanted a different word game one of the employees introduced me to Keezdrow. We love it! I have also been able to get different types of di for my classroom at an inexpensive price. Entering this shop is like stepping into a fantasty world. My inner nerd comes alive as soon as I walk through the door. I live 2.5 hours away and I make a point of stopping here whenever I am in town. They have every table top game, accessory, expansion, paraphanelia, you name it. Lots of neat fantasy figurines too. This is a great game store with a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. My husband and I recently got into playing board games, so we went to Days of Knights to explore new options. Their selection of games was dauntingly extensive, but within minutes the owner came over to help us. He really knew a lot about many different types and difficulty levels of games and was able to give us good advice and a number of suggestions. We have bought two or three games there and every selection has been right on and provided hours of enjoyment. It turns out that the owner has even created his own board game that he is trying to get published! Normally, I would buy these kind of products online, but nothing beats getting helpful advice from real, knowledgeable, friendly people like the staff here. They also have events where you can play games in the store, although I've never been. read more

Do not support their business. The storeowners were very rude and have poor etiquette. I stopped by today this afternoon and saw a person buying Magic the Gathering cards from one of the storeowners and he asked me if I have any standard cards from the newer sets on me, I told him my trade binder is mostly modern and if he wants to trade cards. I was then interrupted abruptly by the storeowner saying that trading is not allowed in their store. I've been to 4 other LGS's in Pennsylvania and Delaware and they had no problem with customers trading Magic the Gathering cards with one another. The fat Jewish man who was working behind the counter sounded very snooty and was disrespectful in his tone and demeanor. read more

Not too happy with this shop. Just found out that they sell opened factory sealed board game miniatures and selling them for regular Price. I have cheack with the company for Krosmasters arena miniatures and all there products are shipped seal. All that i bought from this this place have been opened or rewrapped. This is most likely a method to open and get all the rare or popular figures and sell the rest. who knows what other seal factory type games have been done this way. Too bad this is the only place I know that sells the Games that my family likes. Poor practice read more
