I am thankful to send her to such a great place with positive attitudes, smiling faces and caring hearts each day! One thing I love is the teachers are committed to their Tadpole system which is an app that gives me a recap each day of what she is learning, how long she napped, how we are doing with potty training and BMs, and what she ate that day. It is so helpful in many ways. I know many schools have the ability, but may not always enter the information consistently. Goddard Fenton does an awesome job! I am the lead teacher for the clubhouse, and I provide a fun, engaging, educational environment for my school agers to learn and grow. I enjoy having a child-centered classroom, where the children are able to choose the activities they want to engage in. I provide the students with activities including air dry clay, perler beads, rubber bands, and playing the Wii on days off. After school the students work on homework and reading. If I am not available to help them, Alex does an awesome job working with the students to help them finish their homework. During days off, I work on planning engaging short lessons that focus on Kindness. The month of November we are taking part of the You Matter Marathon. We provide a educational spring break and summer camp and travel around to different areas of St. Louis for field trips. Perks of Goddard: - Every teacher has a college degree - Your child will be in or around six months of his age, like my daughter is in a 3 - 3 1/2 room and she is almost 3 1/2. This is a huge factor to consider, not only will your child be learning everything they should at this milestone, they will be with there peers in the same age group all day long, you don't get this at any other childcare facility much less public school system setting. This is where your child will grow and thrive because they aren't stuck in a group of kids that range from a few months old to 5. - Structure - i can't say enough about how structure makes a huge attitude adjustment and just a good flow for your kiddo. Having a daily schedule and it being the same is a great routine for anyone even if your 30 or 80! - Nutrition - they have a monthly planner you can get and it will let you know exactly what your kid is eating daily. - Activities - there is a weekly themed activity. I remember one in particular such as learning about fire and what not, and they actually had a firetruck come out for a day for the kiddos to see. - Therapies - If your child has any sort of therapies that need addressed, you can have your own therapist come in at anytime and provide therapy for your child, they usually have a space that they can go to to provide care. These are just what I can think of at the moment! This place is beyond amazing...if you even just tour it you will not want to go anywhere else. If its even within or more than $100 of your budgeted amount...you should cut off a luxury item and give your kid some top notch care. I swear during interviews, morning person, must be a requirment! Always friendly and always there to help in anyway possible!! The school is very clean and rooms are always in order. somehow even rooms occupied with kids and the kids playing there isn't a mess to be found! I need to figure out how they do it! the playground and area to play outside seems just like the perfect amount of space and equipment! nothing cluttered, and there is ample amount of room to get the kids stretch out there legs. The price is very affordable, It can seem on the high end, but these are people who actually TEACH your child things, not just have them in their home for the day. The announcer was lively, entertaining, and informative. He shared how this is the only circus school in St Louis and is also the only social circus school. They offer classes to kids of all ages, with their oldest student being of 93 years currently. The show was fantastic! The performers whom I saw tonight were in level 1.5. They've just finished their 15-week fall semester (Dec) and were showcasing their skills. It was great to see the teachers/mentors, helping the students, providing balance aid, and spotting. I look forward to returning to see if I recognize any performers in the future. Donations are welcome and go towards helping students.
