I have used Dayton Design and Print twice now for school orders (one order was 350 t-shirts and one was 50 long sleeve t-shirts) and they have turned out fantastic! Julie provided suggestions when I sent over the design about the best colors and letter styles. I gladly took her up on those suggestions and they paid off well! They were even able to turn the order around quickly after a schedule mistake on our end. For a small clothing business, they had a solid selection of shirt color and letter designs that made the process smooth for a first timer like myself. About a year and a half ago I designed a gigposter that I thought would look really nice as screen print (since I've always been a fan of classic poster art). Living in Dayton, OH I really wasn't sure where to get this done, so I searched and started calling a few places. After a few passes on this project I called Dayton Design and Print. They were poster art fans themselves and knew exactly what I wanted. I've been working with them ever since, and as a result I've been able to deliver limited prints for some fairly large music events. Every time I hand them a design file, the colors are perfectly translated to paper, and I end up with a print with a high quality look and feel. As an artist you often build up these grand visions of a project in your head, knowing that your expectations are unrealistic in most cases (at least I do). Worst small business experience I've had to date. I own a small business myself, and figured I'd work with another small business to do a dozen shirts and a few other clothing to print my logo on. It is now 6 weeks after I've paid in full, and still cannot get my order done! Mark is full of excuses, never answers his phone (his voicemail is always conveniently full at all times as well). He hardly responds to emails, and when he finally does, he apologizes and says he is working on it. My initial contact with him was in March, discussing options, paid on May 3rd for a relatively small order, ne400 and it is now June 13th! He has yet to return my call, email, or anything. I will be literally going to his business to find him apparently! Beware of this company!!! Update on refund: I have patiently waited well over a full week (7 BUSINESS DAYS) actually, and STILL NO REFUND. Will be stopping by his place AGAIN to get my money, and will be filing a small claims if that doesn't work. This is seriously the worst business I've ever dealt with. Please share, and make everyone aware to never give this scammer any money. read more

They have allowed me to design my own with their user friendly online design program and are always open to changes I suggest when asked to design shirts for me. Julie is always upbeat and friendly. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! If you ever need t-shirts done or your company is setting up an online store for branded merchandise DO NOT EVER EVER EVER deal with Dayton Design and Print. Not only are they completely non responsive, they will take all your money and never fulfill orders. I spent months trying to get the owner Mark Browning to just be a decent human being and give our staff the items they paid for or refund their money. He will not return calls or emails. He even goes as far as programming or memorizing numbers to not answer them. Example...if you call from a number you haven't called from before he will answer, come up with a million excuses, make promises and once you hang up he will never answer from that number again. The brick and mortar location is NEVER open so if you go in person like I did, it is for nothing. Months of stress and frustration from lack of communication ultimately ended with them STEALING from our company and staff. My first go round of trying to support a local business definitely left a sour taste in my mouth because when the owner decides to STEAL there is no accountability. In the end, the owner of the company I work for had to personally reimburse staff for items they never received because he is honest and fair and had to right someone else's wrong. With that being said, Im not going to give up on small businesses in this city because of two reasons. 1. one bad apple doesn't represent every small business and 2. the small businesses in this city are struggling. There was one instance where some shirts we ordered had a small ink stain on the front, and they fixed the shirts for us immediately, no questions asked. Easy to order and pay, easy to deal with. This place will get you exactly what you need! To start the folks running the place (Julie & Mark) are great people and are more than willing to work with you through the process. Mark helped me touch up all the small design flaws that I wanted changed and made sure they turned out well on the shirt, which they totally did. Their prices were a whole lot better than big companies like customink too. While there was a little bit of a wait, you cannot blame them being a small business with lots of other orders to fill. As part of this interaction they explained the effort they have been putting in to growing their business including improving their customer serviced. And I believe they have succeeded. They went out of their way to approach me and ask for an opportunity to earn their business back. I found this to be very impressive as not a lot of companies would do this.
