Not only did he repair the guitar to its former glorious sound, it turns out that he probably sold the guitar to E back in the early 80s when he worked for a now defunct music store. I grabbed an Uber from my hotel and we ended up in a residential area! Confused, I called the studio where I was informed that it was by appointment only. But I could be shown his banjos if I could wait five minutes. It was well worth the wait. David Bandrowski was a very courteous and knowledgeable host as well as an accomplished banjo player. He had a vast supply of quality instruments. I played each one and was impressed with the tone that each banjo brought to my ears. His prices were spot on due to the lack of overhead from using his residence as his business.
