Another great job by Ron and Valley Builders. They had a great crew and all estimated deadlines…read morewere met. The addition was seamlessly integrated into the rest of the house with it's Spanish colonial design.

Assaf and Ron were great, and so were all their subcontractors. They are extremely experienced and had no issues completing the work and passing each inspection the first try. We went through another service to get permits, and unfortunately it was missing an entire page. Assaf and Ron worked directly with the engineer to get the page drafted, submitted to Burbank, and magically had it approved within 2 weeks, with no disruption at all to progressing the work. They completed the work within their estimated time. They also cleaned up every day. We were both able to continue working from home through the entire process. Pricing was very reasonable for the work that was done. We got about 8 quotes and theirs came right in the middle. They gave a detailed quote and there were no surprises with the payments later. Their greatest and most appreciated skill is communication. They always picked up the phone or texted/called you back within minutes. This was our first major construction project and they answered all our million questions and had the relationships with the vendors to modify items to what we were hoping for. The finished product is exactly what we wanted. You can see from the before and after pictures it all turned out beautifully. Thanks Assaf and Ron!!

I highly recommend JP General Builders. They did an exceptional job building our ADU in Burbank…read more Through the tough permit process with the city, Jesus Pena and his amazing staff helped move the process along, from beginning to end. Cesar, our project manager was terrific, along with Enrique, Emilio and the entire team. They made sure the highest quality of work was completed and on time. Cesar recommend the a change to our plans and drawings, calling for even higher ceilings, throughout the house. The end project turned out phenomenal !! The entire team was very professional, clean, on time and just amazing to work with. I will be using JP General Builders in our next project.

We hired JP Contractors to start the process to rebuild our house after a fire, he took four weeks…read moreto come to give the estimate, and we started with the plans. After several months of waiting for the city to approve the plans, and after we paid, the plans are WRONG and INCOMPLETE! He charged $8,000 for the plans and did not let his architect talk to us at all. During the process, Cathleen was rude and unprofessional, at one point, when I called to ask for an update, she said she was busy and calling her did not speed up the process, I said I needed updates, and she got flustered and yelled at me "this is how we do things!". I told her not to raise her voice, she told me "You need to relax." I asked to speak to Jesus and she said he was very busy and she was the person to talk to. Now we have to spend more money to re-do the plans and have wasted many months with this company. Cathleen told me she was doing us a "favor" by working with us, I should have fired them on the spot, I told her it is not a favor if you are getting paid for it. The owner is non-responsive to his rude employees, feels he can do the work when he has time, and then the work is WRONG. Incompetency at its best. After many months, and payment on wrong plans, Cathleen sent us an email stating they were very busy and could not do the work for us..... as if we would even consider continuing to work with them. They are unprofessional and shady, he wanted to charge $30,000 for asbestos work that an asbestos specialist charged $20,000 for. This is the worst experience we have had with contractors and we have had a lot of work done over the years. Cathleen yells at people and thinks it is ok because in her mind she is doing us a favor rather than the other way around. Finally, when the plans were finally approved by the city, Cathleen sent us an email telling us we had to pick them up ourselves - breaking their contract. Do not bother with this company, they are unresponsive, rude, and unprofessional, especially Cathleen.

While not great for my wallet, the experience could not have been better with Avi and his team. They were communicative and helpful during the entire process and it was a great experience overall! I set up an appointment with somebody who answered the phone to make an appointment and get a quote…read moreabout getting an ADU built behind my home. Later, "Jacob" called me back later and expressed condescending concern that I had ONLY a $150K budget. I told him that's where the budget starts, not ends and asked him what the true cost was. He responded back that it's between $300 and $450 a square foot. So I told him, "Okay, if my calculations are correct, if I go with $350 a square foot so I'm not at the rock bottom, and I multiply that by 600 sq ft for a small ADU, that is roughly $210K for a price starting point with your company?" "Well no it's not exactly... "Then what did I miss?" "Well there's all sorts of other things blah blah blah..." Overall the tone was condescending and he made it clear that I didn't know what I was talking about, when in fact I have 15 years experience as a home designer that designs and budgets facelifts on houses that are about to go up for sale. I have dealt with contractors for many, many years. Eventually I got fed up with his tone and told him to cancel the appointment. As my grandma always said, you'll catch more flies with honey than hot sauce!
