I used to drive by this store for years admiring the window displays and the unique building structure. I finally stopped in and so glad I did!! If you are one of these people just head on in....otherwise your missing out. I ended up buying this really cute hip purse that I use weekly. I get compliments on it all the time too. Im gonna buy the bigger bag next. Since then, I have visited the store several times and have purchased jewerly and pottery. They have really cool motorcycles in the shop, so take your man, so you can enjoy shopping! I will be back and thank you for being so kind and helpful with my purchases. UPDATED REVIEW: Zero Stars I was contacted by the owner, Dominque C. I've attached her very unpleasant responses in the photos. I do not take lightly to passive aggressive bullying of any sort. It's not ok. Recognize that you were wrong and fix it. Don't speak negatively toward others because someone gave you feedback on specific things like answering the phone or unlocking the doors during business hours. 1. Apparently, it's pathetic to question why someone wouldn't answer the door to the supposedly open business especially since we could see them through the window. You call the number listed on the sign and knock on the door and they still don't respond. Yes, a review is warranted. 2. Yes, I can read, and I did read the sign. It says to call the number during business hours, so I called (and knocked on the door) as it was during business hours. It says for motorcycle inquiries to go around back. I'm not a motorcyclist, so why would I go around back? That makes no sense. 3. Being a small business or as you called it a mom and pop shop does not give you a pass to provide poor service and/or cyber bully folks. It's not very kind. Instead, maybe provide better service. It's not that hard. 4. Glad I didn't come into your store. Would have been a shame to spend my money somewhere where respect seems to be a rare commodity. It is quite unfortunate that Dominque C., the owner, feels that it is ok to speak negatively towards (would have been) customers. Wow I can't believe at what a bunch of pretentious people working at the front counter!! Walking around nobody says hi...hello you need anything.... how you doing. I'm a paying customer lots of money in my pocket and you gals are busy being too cool for schoo! It's not even worth my time, shops like these pop up all over the place major bummer as it looks like you guys spent lots of money on all of that reclaimed wood. Gosh, I don't write many reviews but when i do, it's cause the experience impacted me in a way I feel compelled to share . I couldn't wait to gush all about how incredible my experience was until I pulled up DC customs yelp page I became mortified and so saddened by such a horrific review that someone posted.. if someone can put that much energy to bash and hurt a mom n pop knowing what a review could do to someone's business is just cruel. So Stacy.. I'm sorry. I can understand the frustration , and for being upset for the comment made in response,, 'If u have nothing nice to say.... ?!' you chose to go above and beyond to state ur experience. So let me share my experience and state how polar opposite it was and how wrong I feel you are about both the shop and the owner. . I also knocked on the front door and no one was around. I ended up calling the number as well and leaving a message on her voicemail sharing that I was at the door and would love to shop around . I drove away , feeling a little disappointed but ,, knowing how hectic life can be , and having an open minded understanding that there is always a reason for the why,,, . about 20 min later A woman by the name of Dominique called to apologize for the inconvenience and shared she had stepped out to pick up some of her aMAZINg bags from her seamstress. I ended up coming back an hour later and pretty much spent the rest of the day there. I fell in love w all the goodness and talent and incredible finds . not only does she have her own line but she supports local artist . I can't tell you how much beauty and talent this store has , it takes a very special eye to create such brilliance ,.. The best part for me tho, was the woman behind it all.. she personally took her time w me, her laugh and smile is contagious... The definition of serendipity comes to mind. The soul and heart of this woman is indescribable.. Dominque the shine you create is magnetic . Her love , her energy , and ur undeniable talent is something you rarely see in a lifetime. I am grateful I gave her the Benefit of the doubt knowing life throws us in so many different directions and all we can do is our best. We all have our bad days .. and sometimes our reactions are slips of mindless triggers . Our tru Intention is everything. Love this place! This is my second time coming here. The first time I ended up buying a pair of very comfortable blue jeans that look similar to Levi's, except these are more comfortable and not to mention made in the good ol US of A. My second visit, I brought my wife. She loved the hand made pillows and they are now being used on our couch. Her absolute favorite was the beach bag we bought, that also doubles as a beach towel. Pretty cool seeing motorcycles in there showroom as well. read more

My all time favorite boutique for everything vintage and local treasure chest. Great atmosphere with an even greater experience. Always helpful and hilarious owner with a heart of gold. I would give this shop 10 stars if I could. The front showroom has so many insane goodies from vintage pieces, clothes and one of a kind jewelry.
