And they have no family living in Baltimore. I live hours away and with Covid pandemic could not travel to them, their daughter and my cousin both lived in the Atlanta area. We were panicked. Their neighbor who called us was in Florida on vacation. I called the social worker at the hospital and she recommended Rhoda Blackwood. I called immediately and as soon as I heard her voice, I finally felt calm. She was just absolutely wonderful and she knew what she was doing, a real pro. She went over to the house as soon as she could and put my aunt and called my uncle to put him at ease. Their daughter called and she was immediately put at ease. We knew she was in great hands. When Rhoda had to leave, the other caregiver was awesome too. She and her staff are essential in today's world of family moving out of areas where our elderly loved ones want to stay in their homes. On 2 occasions I assisted a gentleman in a wheelchair waiting for a ride with this company. On the first occasion I know he waited over an hour. On the latest occasion he waited ****JUST OVER TWO HOURS***. There was no method of communication set up to inform him of delays. We had to for call him. They were contacted at 10 minutes to the hour and we were told he would be picked up in an hour. TWO HOURS AND 10 MINUTES later he was picked up. That was after 2 more calls to the company.

Then, out of the blue they called to say they no longer service our area. No notice! But they still had a contract with a nursing facility in the area that my mother landed in months later. Interesting!?! Some transports in the heat of Summer they didn't turn on the A/C (for an elderly wheelchair bound person). It is a non-reliable company that changes its service areas without notice (seemly at a whim) and the customer service is full of unprofessional people who are not trying to help you with anything (except when your payment doesn't go through!)
