When the patient was initially dropped off, the man wheeling him in screamed out the name and said "see yah buddy" and quickly left out of the office without even ensuring this was the correct office or that the patient was comfortable. He actually just left the patient in the middle of the waiting room. During the patients visit, I had to call this company 4 times -- the first 3 times when I introduced myself calling from a doctors office I was hung up on. The fourth time, I decided to say "good afternoon, can you hear me?" thinking it could be a possibility their phones weren't functional. Once the dispatcher confirmed she could hear me, I told her I was being hung up on and I just wanted to confirm that our patient would be picked back up. She responded with "well I don't know who he is". I think this sort of snarky, disrespectful, apathetic and miserable attitude is not only unprofessional but disgusting. I would be infuriated if I found out a loved one of mine needed to use this service and was being treated this way. After I confirmed with her the patient would be picked up, I asked for an ETA and she simply responded "well I don't know but they'll be there". I let the patient know what the dispatcher told me and after about 20 minutes I gave them another call at the patients request to try again to obtain an ETA. The dispatcher then told me that the driver was making a nearby drop off and would be coming to pickup the patient next. I asked her if she knew specifically where that drop off was (so that I could get a better grasp of when the patient would be picked up) and she nastily replied "he is in the area". Neither the dispatchers or the man that brought the patient in gave me their names, and I wish they did because they do not deserve to be in this sort of business. People who utilize transportation services deserve respect, kindness, and empathy. This company cannot even spell these basic requirements.

UNRELIABLE SERVICE!. I had hernia surgery and needed a ride since I was under anesthesia. They were…read morescheduled to come @ 2:30. After not showing up they were contacted only to be told that their driver had a flat tire and they will try to get someone there soon. I was put in a small room and had to sit there alone for hours until the driver finally arrived. I could not eat or drink anything the night before since I was having surgery with anesthesia the next day. By the time I finally got back it was early evening. The dispatcher was very rude on the phone as well. Could their male driver not simply change the flat tire or gotten an expedited service if he was incapable of doing this simple task? Does this company not have a backup plan or alternatives in times of vehicle or other issues? If you want dependable service I suggest you go elsewhere.

This is the second time in less than a year that Express Care has misdiagnosed me. I visited this…read moreurgent care around 8:30 p.m. after getting off work late and feeling absolutely terrible. Before going in, I had already taken a home flu test that came back positive. I also work in a hospital around many people with flu and COVID, so I knew there was a strong possibility I was sick with the flu. During my visit, the PA assessed me and stated that I "just had a cold." However, the next day I woke up feeling significantly worse, with body aches and a low-grade fever. I decided to go to a different urgent care for a second opinion, where I was tested again and confirmed positive for Flu B. Unfortunately, I can't attach the report to this review because the site would not allow screenshots, but I was still within the treatment window to receive Tamiflu, which could have helped relieve my symptoms sooner. I'm sharing this as a warning to other patients: if you truly feel something is wrong, trust your instincts and consider getting a second opinion. Based on my experiences, I no longer feel confident in the care provided here.

After the most outrageous excuses you could ever hear for why the health aides couldn't show up to just out and out not caring to listen to any of our concerns, I wouldn't let them care for my worst enemy. Part of the problem is that no one wants to work anymore, yes, but again the biggest part is having someone who doesn't give a damn if they put clients in a bind or leave their clients without coverage altogether. Oh, and before they try to blast me here, yes I have raised my voice more than once when I've scheduled appointments around their scheduled timeframe only to find out last minute that they had no one to take care of my Dad and made their 1,000,001th excuse. And once I got there she and her staff were all great! It was still a very stressful situation with all the last minute changes but overall I am pleased with the outcome and would recommend Dr Rosenthal***** I am ver upset that Dr Rosenthal decided to cancel my endoscopy at the last minute which I had booked for over a month now and even reconfirmed 2 days prior. Her reason for cancelling was unprofessional and uncaring. I would have understood if she had some sort of emergency or something but to tell me at the last minute that it was because I had rescheduled it a few times previously - What the heck? If that were really the reason then they should have not scheduled it for me nearly two months ago. Also although I did have to reschedule it a few times due to a family crisis- I never changed it at the last minute like she did to me! Then when I asked for a callback to discuss it - her office assured me 3 times that she would call me back but she never did! My driver had taken off work and I have been off my prescribed medicines and vitamins for two weeks now as was instructed so I did all the prep work. But then she cancelled on me at the last minute and tried to blame me for her cancelling last minute!

Unprofessional and Unresponsive Care This is the second time…read moreI've had to write a review about the poor service at this clinic, and unfortunately, it seems nothing has changed. My first experience involved a serious medication error where my prescription was mixed up with another patient's. Despite calling numerous times and clearly explaining the issue, it took them two full days to correct it. That was frustrating enough. Now, I've been without my medication for 7 days and have made multiple attempts over the last four days to get a simple prescription refill. I've spoken with two different staff members and asked repeatedly for either a manager or Dr. Abernathy to contact me--no one has followed up. The receptionist, whose attitude was cold and dismissive, clearly showed no sense of urgency or empathy. Instead of helping, she pushed me off to Ms. Kia, Dr. Abernathy's coordinator or assistant. I left multiple messages for her, and none of them were returned. I even contacted the Miami-based call center, where I was told for a second time that my request would be "expedited." But when I asked what "expedited" meant, no one could provide a timeline or answer--it was just another empty promise. This has now been repeated with no action taken. To make matters worse, my pharmacy also reached out directly and spoke with a staff member named Nya, who again did absolutely nothing to move the process forward. There is no accountability, no urgency, and certainly no adherence to the basic Patients' Bill of Rights. As my condition worsens each day without the needed medication, I am deeply concerned for my health and frustrated by the clinic's indifference. As a public servant and former medical professional, I find this level of care deeply troubling and unacceptable. I would never treat any patient with such neglect or disregard. Medical professionals are expected to operate with compassion, competence, and integrity--none of which were displayed here. To be clear, this review is not directed at Dr. Abernathy personally, but the ongoing failure of his staff reflects poorly on the entire practice. That this is the second time I've had to write about such experiences shows that these issues are not isolated incidents--they are part of a larger pattern of dysfunction and poor patient care.
