HOW does this place have even a single good review? I had such a terrible experience between not showing up for an appointment, then showing up 6 hours late, and TWO attempts at stealing personal belongings from us. Duane confirmed my appointment a few days in advance which I thought was very professional, however, never showed up on the appointment day, when I called an hour after our confirmed time, he said he was having phone problems and to call his office to reschedule, but I never got confirmation. They had me call the next morning to see if they can fit me in that day. Once I got back on the books two days later, he was 6 hours late and could only do half the job. They didn't bring any tools so they used all of ours we happened to have. We noticed one of our tools was missing when they left. When they arrived the next day to finish the job, we confronted them about the tool and they returned it. A few hours later, we noticed some Airpods were missing, and after using the 'Find My' app, discovered they were in one of the workers pockets. He claimed he picked them up to return them but come on. The owner also left his workers at our house for two hours without water (claiming he's grabbing water) - his workers were asking us for water in 110 degree heat. I've been watching the pile of yard debris and trash accumulate at the back of my property for months, actually, no YEARS! Every time I thought I booked someone to come round and haul it, they either never showed on the day of the job or they promised to show and handed me every reason why they flaked. NOT THE CASE WITH DCB. I contacted Dion on a Sunday late afternoon. He said he would be in touch in the next few days. Monday morning, he called to say he was in my area and would this be a convenient time. Absolutely. He showed up with a crew, ready to work. He was fair in his assessment of the pricing and the time it would take. He promised to come back for the extra bits that couldn't fit on the first round. And he did. The job was done in record time. They were friendly, efficient and accommodating. I expect to work with DCB again, for some of the other services they provide- yard work, property maintenance and generally keeping an eye on things. He called another Yelp business to do this job, after no one showed up as scheduled. Repeatedly asking for confirmation before time was useless. Unreliable as can be! I had grown weary of trying to deal with charity organizations, local refuse large item pickup etc. they all have their restrictions - so unhelpful! I just had a bunch of stuff I wanted to get rid of!!! Got a same-day appointment. Arrived on schedule. Dion and his crew of 2 really nice, capable guys loaded up a huge amount of general junk and garage refuse including dismantling a huge entertainment center, an old Steelcase file cabinet, old TVs, golf equipment, etc. Done! I have been very impressed with the work of DCB. Dion and his crew are fantastic. I have a house in Joshua Tree that had been being rented for several years. There was a great deal of refuse inside and outside the house in addition to carpets in two rooms that had to come up and be disposed of and a shed full of crap. Dion is awesome! He (firstly)responded to my text immediately which is a rarity out here in the desert and second, he made time to show up on the same afternoon I called him and he was ready to go (with his trailer) and one of his employee to do some hauling from a rental I was moving out of. He hauled off a super heavy old couch and all the trash and was reasonable. Worth every penny. I got most of my deposit back. I can refer This company without hesitation. I can tell you that up in the desert, good help is hard to find. And there are a lot of guys trying to do it cheaper , don't have the equipment or insurance and basically just aren't legit and possibly felons (ha! Beware! I have a friends who tried to save a few bucks hiring some guy off craigslist who was sketchy and who came back and robbed them later!). This company is the real deal. Professional. Responsive.
