DCM Remodeling completed a mid-sized bathroom renovation for me in September/October 2022 and I am very happy with the results. Dan impressed me from the beginning by actually answering my initial phone call, and was responsive to calls and texts through the entire process. Dan helped me with bathroom design and with choosing tile, tub, and shower doors. He was able to begin work a short time after I contacted him. His crew consisted of Vasili and Rene. Both were there like clockwork every day. Their work is superb. Dan was on the job several times throughout to check on things and to answer my questions in person. job never finished! contractor paid! dan mcguiork/ dcm remodeling, started job 1/10/22. job: make an existing closet, into a powder room. make a closet between powder rm @ bed rm. dan supplied toilet, window, doors. i supplied sink, cabinet, faucet, floor @ wall tile, paint, mirror, towel bar, light fixture. unforseen health issues (covid), caused me to postpone work 2x. while husband in hospital, job continued. 2/8/22- husband home. dan @ i, mutually, agreed to stop work for a few weeks. paid balance -contract noted, incomplete. 3/16/22- i called dcm. as of, 4/9/22- job schedule @ cancelled 3x by dcm. between 4/9- 8/29/22- i received a text from secretary. she doesn't work for dan. 5 months, 47 messages sent to dan. no response!! not even a toilet text! 8/29- thru now- dan has text me. "wrong #/ i owe you nothing.../ contract was w/ dcm, llc-- not dan/ stop harassing me." incomplete work: closet is a shell- no shelving/ hang bar; no molding around closet/floor @ ceiling; drywall edges exposed in closet; door hung upside down. time consuming fixes needed in powder rm. paint; caulk; grout... tile installed behind faucet only. should be tiled 1/2 wall.(faucet rubs tile). no warranty! window doesn't lock. toilet needed parts replaced. civil claim filed against dan/dcm remodeling. went to court 2x. i was awarded judgement 2x. dan appealed, got lawyer. dan ignored judgements - he refuses to pay! 11/25/23--- i am still going through the legal system! the next step is filing with sheriff's office, to levy @ garnish. fee: $650-. dan is rude, unorganized @ accepts no accountability! excuses for increasing costs @ put blame on others. hiring dan was a bad decision. i don't need to be a contractor, to know if a job is finished! never pay balance, under any circumstances. -until- contract is fulfilled and you are satisfied w/ job! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OR USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, A YEAR WORTH OF FRUSTRATION JUST TO BE ROBBED OF EVERYTHING. THE OWNER IS A LIAR, THEIF AND IS GREEDY. HE MISS-MANAGES CUSTOMERS MONEY THEN HE TRIES TO SCAM THEM OUT OF MORE TO COVER HIS ASS-. HIS ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF WAS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT WHEN TRYING TO GENERATE A CONTRACT. COMFPLETLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They STOLE KEYS The doors they installed that we PAID FOR. NOW there are things that are falling apart to be repaired and they are not responsive. I think the owner backed out and left US so we not have to keep with the year warranty to cover the shit job he did. THEY ARE DESPICABLE.! The project started out in a good way and they were many obsticals that were in our way. We are only grateful for the completed portions since our home required a full restoration and the actual work that was done. His labor team left bottles full of bodily fluids and trash all over my house, totally unprofessional. To add salt to injury, when we were one month close to moving back into our home he gave us nothing but issues, attitude and threats. The owner Dan does NOT listen to the CUSTOMER at all. He completely ignored what we asked for as design for our basement, now it is incomplete. He admitted to missmanaging our funds, we started getting calls from the trades he hired telling us that final payments were due when we paid him over $100K for this project. Then a week before we were supposed to get back into our home, all of sudden we owed more money. After requesting full documentation of receipts to prove what we paid for and why we "owed" more money, He could not and would not comply. He completly ignored our requests and tried to leave us homeless without a U & O, he STOLE our personal property cabinet doors,closet shelves are missing, uninstalled carpet he suffed in our closet, window screens and blinds, left outlets uncovered, incomplete paint job, he left floor trimmings unsecured, our bathroom that we PAID him for was incomplete he left the shower and wall tiles uninstalled, walls unpainted and he puchased our basement window and never installed or even had it delivered. He is is LIAR, A THEIF and totally not to be trused. He scammed us out of $25,000 more money than what we should have paid for this project. We are now in debt for that barrowed money because we had to get back in our home or be homeless. A selfish person this MAN is. He cancelled the home inspection with the TWP and completely ghosted us. Then had the nerve to email us a bill by email a few months later. Because he never completed the job, we have no warranty on any of the work done. Don't belive the good reviews, he took advantage of us as a vulnerable family and ripped us off.
