DD's Discount is basically Ross's little sister--same unorganized chaos, same treasure hunt experience, just with different clothes and household items. Every time I come here, I usually find at least a few things I like, whether it's clothes, home stuff, or random bargains I wasn't expecting. And honestly, some of the things I've found here are even better than what I've ever scored at Ross! Now, let's talk about security. It's... a little much. The way they stop you at the door feels like you're about to enter an exclusive club--except instead of checking your ID, they just make you stand there awkwardly for like five seconds before dramatically moving the line divider and letting you in. No idea what that's about, but the security team always looks mad, like they personally don't want you in their store. It's kind of funny but also kind of weird. That said, the prices and good finds make it totally worth coming back. My favorite affordable store in town. This store is kept fairly clean for the type of store it is. Discounted stores can be a little messy due to the massive flow they have per day. This store however is kept fairly clean. The customer service is fairly nice as well. They also have the cutest things as opposed to Fallas and the other Rosses. They don't have a rest room though. This might be the only con other than really long lines. read more

I used to think Marshall's and Tj Max were a little ghetto but congratulations DDS on the eastside you broke through the glass ceiling and took the crown! lol with that said yes you can find some good house stuff and some good brand name toys. Heck you might be able to find SOME brand named clothes for CHEAP. IT's not as great as Marshalls or TJ Max but it's in the realm of these same stores. You literally have to dig a little harder to find a good deal. this store is a constant tornado, and a mess anytime you go. Also I highly advise wearing full body armor as well because the shoppers here are rude and belligerent. lol. This is your basic sub-Armageddon shopping experience in the U.S. in this day and age. I walked into a dirty store with shelves in complete disarray (and this was at opening on a Sunday morning!). Nothing appeared to be categorized at all; shampoo bottles sat on shelves beside auto parts and children's underwear. As usual, the staff was busy talking up front and paid me no mind whatsoever. If you're interested in seeing what it would be like to enter a retailer the day after a major earthquake, hey, this is your golden opportunity. Good place to find some great deals. Pretty clean and at times you have to really search for the deals, but for the price you can't beat it. I have found lots of cute sandals for under $6 and house hold items are a steal here! I would go super early to miss the long lines that tend to happen later on in the day. read more

Prices are low, lower than Ross!! For that I'd give DD's 10 stars if possible. Now, for Cleanliness.. well, that's another story. Fitting Rooms are disgusting, filthy and floors are sticky. Just gross! Lines can get insanely long at times, with one to two registers open only. read more

There are decent deals here for accessories and small household stuff. The store has a strange smell though from the clothing or something. Most of the cashiers try to work quickly so theres not a super long wait even with long lines. read more

I hate going here. This is literally the worst dd's. the employees are the worst. I went to a fitting room came out and one of the girls snatched the clothes out of my hands to count them. She then saw I was annoyed and laughed as I walked away. Throw this whole place away. Cashiers are rude too! read more

This place has full of nice items and they are so cheap. They got from kitchen aids to electronics. My favorite place is their children's and women's clothes. Would you imagine I got a party dress for my toddler for about $7.99? I couldnt believe it myself. Aside from their cheap prices, they got good parking and honest staffs. I absolutely love DDs the prices are amazing! However every time I go the cashiers are so rude! They also try to rush you out of the store that's how I forgot my bag because I was to busy trying to hurry up because I was being rushed! I understand they are trying to make the line go faster but I'm sure they can find another solution than rushing their customers off. They also have a crazy bathroom policy.. I was exactly 9 months pregnant and I simply asked to use the restroom and I was told their wasn't a public bathroom but the next time I went In the store with my co worker and I had to go I was directed straight to the bathroom.. DDS should stick with one policy and stop changing it up!!!! read more

Store was pretty clean and for the most part organized, customer service needs help people area little rough around the edges come off rude, but I'm pretty out spoken so I knocked that smugness out of their voices real quick. Over all I was satisfied with my purchases. read more

Associates are always rude no matter the time of day, store is always messy they always have 2-3 associates by the bathroom/dressing room chatting away about their personal lives sex, party, boyfriend mind you this is right next to the children isles. read more

Very affordable cute clothes. Best time to go is in the morning cause it gets crowded here. They have a messy store majority of the time so you have to search for good items. Lots of nice house things. I buy so many sandals from here and cute purses. Be aware of the knock offs though. read more

Great things can be found here for much less than competing stores. The bedding is a great bargain w decent selection. Only down side is the super long lines at the cash register. Seems like Burlington Ross TJ Maxx and Marshall's all have this issue. Add more cashiers please. read more

The check out process is horrible. The managers are the worst ever. The lines are so long to get out. Every time I go I wait 30 min or more to get out. I love the store. The management needs help. They sit around and chat go on breaks while their workers are overwhelmed. read more

I enjoy shopping there. It's very inexpensive, but the clothes fall apart more so the pants. It's ok though because I can afford to buy something new. When they open is the best time to go. Before all of the mom's and their screaming kids show up. That's when the trashing begins. If you are a needy shopper, it's not the place for you. I truly love dd's . I love all the selection they have in purses. I love the prices. One think that would really be a plus for them is if their racks weren't so close together and that their lines would not be so long the have enough cash registers that they'll could keep them all open to keep things going smoothly . I came into the store around 830 to do my shopping, i was concerned to see the fitting room closed, i proceeded to walk to the front of the store and asked the cashier if i can try a few items on. The cashier very rudly told me that they were closed, i apologized and told her im sorry, is the store closed? Her very rudly said no but its closed, i then said you're going to miss out on a sale because you wont let me try these items on, she rolled her eyes and said yes, i then asked for management she pointed at the lady with pink purple hair, i asked her the same question, may i try this on? Her also very rudly said no its closed, i then repeated myself, you're willing to miss out on a sale because you wont let me try this on. Her response okay dont give me "attitude" I apologized and said sorry no thats not what i am doing, your cashier who i helped me first you should coach her because she was the one who was being rude... i normally dont leave surveys or take the time to address any issues with stores, but How will you know of a situation or rude employees how will I address that with them. I honestly wasnt not impressed with the service or management i received on 9/19 at 830 on the Bakersfield Mt Vernon location, i should have gotten those employes names, but im sure with the schedule it isn't impossible to figure out, sincerely a very dissatisfied non returning customer... read more
