If I could give it no stars I would , the dressing room ladies are always hella rude, the dressing room lady told me i couldnt try the bra on cause it had a censor on it , and when I asked what happen? Cause I didn't exactly hear her she began speaking to me in Spanish like if I couldn't understand her , I asked her why once I understood what she said about the censors and then she laughed and said they were censored together like excuse me if i didnt notice they were censored together, and then and not to mention the cashiers too , I went to try and complete my purchase and the whole time they're just gossiping talking about tequila and food at all volumes, and when I go up to ask one of the cashiers if she's open she tells me no and looks at me like if I asked a dumb question and I stood around the area of cashiers and she tells me "you can go back to the line" I was the only person in line, I had ONE pair of pants, and then she proceeds to help someone else when they go up to her. I calmed myself and tried to just wait regardless of having dealt with two disrespectful ladies there but they were just taking their sweet time and continuing to gossip and talking about "am I gonna be invited to the tacos and tequila?" And about some party one of them had been to. I don't really care when people are talking amongst themselves as coworkers, its good to have a pleasant time while you're at work, but its not okay to be disrespectful to the costumers when they aren't being disrespectful to you. I waited a good 2 minutes but after seeing that I was clearly going to be there like 5 more minutes after dealing with that attitude of the cashier and dressing room lady , I ain't had no patience to stand there and listen to the rest of their gossip as they took their sweet time to ring up the lady. There was 3 cashiers and only one was busy and the other 2 weren't doing anything besides standing there talking with one another. This isn't the first bad experience I've had there with the cashiers and dressing room women, I'd like something to be done cause that isn't something I like dealing with especially when I ain't being disrespectful in the first place. How can a large business like DD Discounts expect us the customer to shop at your store but have to use the business next door if we need to use the bathroom?? I was in the Elkhorn store today and asked where the restroom was located. I was told it was their policy not to have a public restroom and that I could go next door to Big Lots and use their facilities. Lots of security guards up front kind of tells you the area, but I was so happy to find loads of adorable purses and shoes. The shoes were surprisingly on trend, and $7 each! So a friend of mine always has these super cute, edgy pieces in her wardrobe and whenever I ask where she purchased them, the answer is always "DD's." Sooo, needing some spring/summer gear, I decide to give it a shot. My initial reaction was DD's is not what I thought it would be. It's very Ross or Marshall's like, and the exact type of shopping I HATE doing. Racks upon racks of somewhat organized, somewhat correctly sized clothing. Having to wade through 400 blouses to possibly find one I like is way over my patience threshold but like I said, I needed clothes. I spent over an hour searching high and low for those cute, edgy pieces but they must have been hidden in some secret room. I did pick up a couple tops and a skirt for super cheap so it turned out okay. I think DD's is good for people who are looking for some really good deals and who can tolerate this type of shopping. Went into this store for the very first time had never even heard of DD's Discount... I was in the Brickyard Fullerton & Narragansett when I saw the sign and decided to stop, but upon entering the store a guard/ store associate told me I need to leave my empty reusable bag at the counter and take a ticket for it WHAT are you serious ??? Your store is located in Chicago which has a 7 cent tax for bags, so apparently everybody who brings their own bag in needs to have them checked in?? Very bad customer service I go into many stores with a reuseable bag me and many others also since the bag tax went into effect, never have I seen a store policy that checks them, so I turned around and left!! As far as the store overall appearance the items I saw look very cheap in quality I guess that's where the name comes from. Well I will not be returning, you should give free bags if bringing my own bag creates a loss prevention crisis. No way will I ever stand in a line to retrieve my own empty reusable bag even if I don't spend money, so in other words I need to stand in line if I buy something or not. I agree with everything the other reviewer said about this place. My mom loves the dd's in Sunnyvale, and found the cheap prices to be a blessing when she had to buy a bunch of my dad's coworkers baby presents (at least 5 women had babies at the same time) so I decided to look for a dd's in Sac when it was time to buy my coworker a baby present. It's like any other discount store--there are plenty of good quality finds, but you have to have a lot of time on your hands to go through the racks since everything is out of place. I walked out of there with 2 cute multiple-piece baby outfits, five receiving blankets, and a top for myself for just under $25. My boyfriend got a shower curtain and shower liner for under $10. This store is great for furnishing a kitchen, bathroom or bedroom cheaply. I went there after moving to a new apartment, for shower curtain, rugs, kitchen stuff, etc...also underwear. I come to the Stockton Blvd location often for home things, curtain rod, soap dish, or whatever. I have returned things no problem with a receipt, today I went to return a stroller that I bought my daughter for Christmas without a receipt- which I thought would be no problem- WRONG! I had the parts still in the box, it had a tag on it and the girl starts opening it and saying this looks used, it looks dirty, and it's already on clearance- so you must have had it for a while- insinuating that I was there for what? I just bought it Nov. 30th, I went to put it together Christmas eve and discovered it was missing the part that holds the wheels on. I asked if they could look it up by the card I used, she had an attitude and said that they could not return it, and the manager backed her up, I told them there was no way to use it without wheels and that I could not use it, they refused t take it so I left it there- it only cost about $14 a month ago and they acted like I had stolen it , hoarded it for months- I do not know. The lack of customer service was ridiculous- they acted like it was their money they had to part with. Never again- I will not waste a minute going back and forth with some dd's employees over chump change. read more

I go to DD's quite often and I love the prices, you can get a little bit of everything there. And since I am about to start redecorating my home I will be there a lot more. I haven't really experienced good or bad customer service going there but I don't really care the bargains make up for it, plus it isn't that hard to find your way around any of the locations I have been to, that makes for the 45 star rating for me. read more

I am 50 years old and have been shopping my entire life all over the world and I have never ever been made to feel the way i feel when i shop at this store. I am treated as if i am a criminal. The lack of trust and respect is outrageous. I can see clearly the need for security and i can also see that the entire store is in fact covered by video surveillance and a security guard. I can also see that every item is fixed with a security tag . So I do not understand the policy regarding the dressing room . With all the security measures that are already in place why must i be made to feel so uncomfortable when i simply want to try a few items on. I am seriously waiting for the clerk to push me up against a wall and frisk me or have me dump my purse on the counter ??? I realize the items you take in must be counted but they actually force me to hand the items to them and then they hang them on this rack and then do a strange kind of pat down on the items then they let me go back and try them on ... then they take the items from me again and repeat the same tedious process even on the items i want to purchase. and this process is the same with even one item ?? I really dont understand . No other store i have ever shopped in puts there customers thru this. Why if I only have one item must i hand it to the clerk to be checked ? why cant i just show her i have one item with out the whole process. It really is redundant and makes me feel so mistrusted and unwelcome in your store. I was told over and over that this whole process is your corporate policy and my answer is your policy needs to change. Customer service should be a priority not just lip service . No one should ever feel un welcome or suspected of criminal activity just for shopping in your store. I urge you to change your dressing room policy to be appropriate to your competitors policy . The strict and redundant measures you have implemented are seriously damaging your customers experience and can so easily be resolved by making our experience the priority as you have already put in sufficient and reasonable security measures with your cameras and security tags and security guards. read more

as a dds associate you have to understand it sounds simple to keep a store clean but in reality the people that shop at our store are 99% rude and sloppy. they will pick something up and if they dont want it throw it on the floor and say "its their job to pick it up" now picture having a store full of customers doing that.. we can pick up and pick up but it will be us cleaning 1 isle and customers coming behind us throwing stuff on the floor. not to mention the nasty women that will use the fitting as their personal bathroom leaving dirty tampons on the floor and peeing on the floor. or the parents that assume its okay to allow children to run around the store as if it were a park or day care center swinging from the racks. and its similiar to ross because we are affiliated with ross. read more
