We did experience a hiccup with one of the cashiers, which caused a significant inconvenience. However, Seaan stepped in immediately, handled the situation professionally, and provided the appropriate credits. He took care of business exactly the way a strong manager should -- fair, solution-oriented, and respectful. There are lots of chairs, like office chairs, gaming chairs, dining chairs, bar stools, that you can get for a really, really, REALLY good price. I'm not gonna say they're the best quality, but I think it's perfect if you need to quickly furnish a place on a budget, ie - a college student needing a desk, chair, etc for a dorm or an apartment. I would say, try sitting on the stuff in store before you buy to test it's durable enough for your usage. You have to imagine that stuff this cheap is built as mail-order stuff for skinny Asians. The room is pretty big so thought there was going to be a lot of good stuff. Looking around the place it became quickly apparent that this stuff is really just overstock stuff. Sitting in the chairs and feeling the fabric of the furniture you can tell the quality is somewhat lower which is reflected in the prices. After walking around for a few minutes we decided to leave. The prices are good but the stuff just seems disposable. Like you just replace them every year. There was a guy who was letting a customer out the door so I had asked if I can still pick up my online order and he told me no because they were already closed. I went back to my car and another worker, Dolly, walked up to me and said she can help me. I was so surprised that she went out of her way to walk to my car to let me know that. Homage carries a lot of work by independent artists and artisans, including fine jewelry and ceramics. The last time I was here was with an out of town friend who was really tempted to buy a handmade pair of gloves. She ended up not getting them and called me regretting her decision. So, this place is great for worn accessories (scarves, jewelry, gloves...etc.) and beautiful housewares. The prices are maybe a bit high, but the quality of the goods is pretty high. So, while I much more rarely buy from Homage than Retreat or Gold Bug, I would still recommend a look around.
