We chose Painting Plus after receiving three estimates and meeting with each contractor. Kerry had the best grasp of color alternatives as well as ideas for carpentry. He worked with us to suggest colors and came later with paint samples. We were struggling with colors for the house and the trim, so it was important to find a painter with experience and a vision. Daniel and his carpentry/painting crew were amazing. We had 20 years worth of rot around trim and siding, and they did an expert job with repairs. They put two coats of stain on the house, deck, and porch and two coats of paint on the trim. They also power-washed the house and chimney, replaced water-damaged wall-board inside, painted an interior wall and ceiling, replaced a door knob, fixed detached flagstone, etc. Overall, Kerry, Daniel, and crew did more than the original estimate but didn't add anything to the price. I was converting from an oil system and thus ductwork was required, and the subcontractors also had the same level of professionalism and craftsmanship, with all the time for my questions and providing patient explanations. Everyone involved showed as much care and respect for my property as possible. I started the project in 2022, so it had to weather post-COVID supply chain issues, utility companies with their own timetables, and even a layoff that put the project on hold for a while, so this job was no walk in the park, but Marty managed to bring everyone back and keep everything on track to finally bring the project to completion. He has followed up a couple of times since we've turned to unit on to make sure everything is running as expected and to ensure I have all the information i need to keep the unit running in optimal condition, as well as to apply for all the appropriate rebates and credits. When they are collecting your money, Rullie plumbing is happy to respond to your inquiries and requests. Once the job is done, do not expect any customer service whatsoever - even though they say that they guarantee their work for 12 months.

He was so polite and matter of fact, I went with him. And he had SUCH great Service Magic Reviews. So he came out to install it. It was snowing. He was out doing something outside my condo. We had talked before about him pulling the permit, something he had put in the quote as something he would do. My condo caught him without the permit. A fact he didn't tell me until caught. He claimed he couldn't get it because of the snow (the town had closed). However, hello, you knew what day you were coming, you should have obtained it prior to the date of work. I sent him packing. Strike 1. When he got the permit, he installed the breaker board, but it was crooked. I let it go because it is slightly crooked but it is. Strike 2. I told the permit story on his service magic page... he noted that he couldn't get the permit because it was snowing. When I tried to rebut his assertion that he *couldn't get it* and inform others that he didn't tell me that until he had tried working without it (not to mention the fact that he knew what day he was coming out and also that it was going to snow) Service Magic didn't let me say anymore.... So, fine, the Town electrical inspector was supposed to come out and check it and that was Julio's responsibility to handle. In fact I called the town and they told me I couldn't set it up - the electrician had to. I had to nag Julio to get it done and in the end... the inspector didn't come out until 6 months after the job. Strike 3. It wasn't a horrible time but not a great one. And then this fall I had a new heating system put in and sure enough, what Julio had marked as the breaker for the heater was wrong. I hope that is the only mistake.
