Charged me $150 to tell me what I already knew, even after I made it clear to the receptionist that I knew what the problem was, told them the unit model number and serial number, and the parts needed. All I wanted was an estimate to repair, but they insisted that they had to see unit and told me I would not be charged to look. Completely false. And then they tried to sell me an overpriced heating unit. Will never call them again, and I recommend you don't either. read more

We have been loyal DeHart Plumbing customers since shortly after they open their doors. We recommend them to our adult son, neighbors and even the VFW. Their work was fair priced and reliable. Everyone was always extremely helpful. Unfortunately they have raised their prices so much, they have priced us out of using their company. :( The shut off behind our basement washer was leaking. it was not hard to get too and not a terribly complicated fix. they charged us over a $100 to tell us it would be over $300 to fix it. I called another local plumber that replaced both the hot and cold shut offs behind the washer for $140. DeHart Plumbing are good people but their prices are no longer affordable. read more

they misdiagnosed the problem and tried to pressure me into buying a multi thousand dollar new furnace. They didn't check to see if anything was still under warranty, and they didn't make a simple repair that was easy for another company to spot. Plus they all kinds of stress by saying you had carbon monoxide and condemning your unit. Plus they came out twice with two different opinions and charged $200. There had been a stinky sewer smell in my office building for literally years. Two other plumbers tried to find the source of the smell and could not. DeHart suggested a smoke test which would show if there was a leak somewhere in the system. No one else ever suggested this test as an option. Sure enough the smoke test led us to the leak which was due to an improperly sized cap. New cap installed and the awful stink is finally gone. DeHart is my hero!!! read more

I called these guys for an emergency plumbing issue that i was having. I called at 10pm on Saturday night and as I sit here writing this at 9pm on Sunday I still havent gotten a call back! I dont know why you would advertise that you do 24/7 emergency repairs and not call someone back. I could understand if you were busy, but a simple call back is that all is needed. My house is old, with as much character as it has maintenance needs. In the last month my hot water heater, a shower faucet, and an end cap on a cast iron line under the stool all went belly up. De Hart took care of it all - efficiently and professionally. Their staff was awesome. LeAnn, Kurtis, both Chris's and Zach, earned a 5+ with me. I've been fortunate enough to receive good customer service with various home repair companies. But these folks are in a different class. They were extremely professional, while also friendly, informative, and skilled at diagnosing and fixing the problems quickly. I signed up for the VIP furnace and AC maintenance plan without batting an eye. I know it'll pay for itself in the long run by extending the life of my "mature" HVAC system. Their furnace maintenance was thorough, and the receipt included a detailed rundown of system pressures they took. They explained that these readings will be used as a baseline for comparison next year. They informed me about basic maintenance I can do. I'm curious about this stuff and like to learn, so I can do as much of it myself as possible.They even put easy instructions for annual water heater draining right on the unit. I have confidence in their integrity, that they will only suggest maintenance or repairs that are actually needed. Also, Leann went to bat for me when I ran into a snaffoo with my home warranty company, when they ordered the new water heater from Texas rather than getting one locally. Leann made extra calls to iron things out, got authorization to order a unit locally, and we had hot water pronto. Lawrence, thanks for your commitment to excellent service. This level of quality starts at the top. And thanks to your awesome staff for taking such pride in their work, and good care of me and my old house. As a new homeowner, I called Dehart because they had cleaned and serviced my furnace prior to myself purchasing the home in August. I needed to know where the furnace filter was located and how to program the thermostat. Well, just showing me those two items in 10 minutes I was charged $103.50. I was quoted $40.00 on the phone to do the service. Oh I was also told if diagnostic had to be done it would be more. Called DeHart to service an aging central AC system that was struggling mightily to keep up with the heat. Of course, when you have to call an ac repair service, you often have no idea what you're going to pay for them to fix your problem, until after the work is already done. Oh wait, with these guys, you DO get to know what the job is going to run, BEFORE they start on it. They come, do some testing, and give you an estimate for the work before beginning the repair job. This is what got me at "Hello". Other pluses: - They got here right when they said they would be here. - Very professional "service ninja" who was well equipped, friendly, and competent. - Reasonable rates. This job cost about what I expected. - Good advice for reducing future service costs. And after the work, we are sitting cool and comfortable again.
