I had water damage recently and worked with a water remediation and rebuild company in which I decided to let go. The workers were okay but the owners seemed to know very little about the business other than knowing how to make sure your water claim was processed through your insurance agency. Also, they chipped/cracked a few tiles during the remediation portion. There were other horrors to this company but no need to share them here... So once that company was done with remediation I didn't feel comfortable with them having to do my rebuild. The day I was sure I was going to fire the other company, I was driving to work behind a truck that said De Rosa and Sons Drywall. This was exactly what I needed! I looked at their reviews and decided to get an estimate. The father came for the estimate and didn't ask many invasive questions like some other contractors have done to me in the past- he came and did his job. I got two other quotes as well. De La Rosa's was about $400 more than one drywall only competitor but that one other competitor did not have the most amazing drywall repair photos to show. Like I could look at the photos and could still detect the patchwork or where the drywall repair ended and began. Despite De La Rosa being $400 more, it was still within being reasonable. I went with De La Rosa and I'm so glad I did! They accommodated my schedule and showed up on time! They did an amazing job as well within a short period of time. They were respectful of my space and during their break time they were willing to engage in pleasant conversation. I can't even tell I had drywall repair done... the last thing I wanted to worry about is a bad drywall job bringing focus on a repair and being unsightly. They matched the texture exactly and the wall is super smooth. I am still in the process of painting no but once I get the walls painted I will add that picture. These guys are intelligent and definitely possess talent in the drywall arena. Was well worth the $400 extra. They also redeemed my faith in contractors. read more

Brothers Eric and Kevin were at my rental home in Tucson, AZ today repairing all of the drywall damage and hand-troweling the "Hawk and Trowel" (Santa Fe) finish back onto my walls to make them look absolutely magnificent again. Eric had come out last week on the weekend to give me an estimate and I hired him on the spot-he knows his stuff and that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I booked an appointment for the following week and both brothers showed up right on time. They got to work immediately by prepping their work areas with plastic over carpet, plastic over my garage floor that had just been power-washed, and over any tile. Even when I added in a couple of additional areas that I had previously missed telling them about, Eric and Kevin had no problem accommodating. They even taped back my custom pleated drapes to ensure they did not become damaged during the wall repairs. Do note that, the brothers work simultaneously to apply TWO coats, and then come back around to do the finish, in my case, "Hawk & Trowel." Their work is gorgeous! I can't WAIT until it's all painted to see the final results. It will be seamless transitions, that's for sure! Super-happy with De La Rosa & Sons Drywall, and you will be too! DeLaRosa & Sons Drywall just removed the 'popcorn' ceiling from my townhome and did an amazing job with no mess. The owners are very professional and care about their clients. Very happy with the removal and resurfacing of the popcorn ceilings in five rooms of my new house by Kevin, Eric and their dad Javier. They did an excellent job of masking all the spaces, including built-ins, and finished in 3 instead of 4 days. I got three bids and theirs was competitive. They are very nice to deal with and I definitely recommend them. My one small complaint is I wish they'd been clearer at the outset that it was my responsibility to remove and reinstall the ceiling fans. read more

This is a family business and they came to the rescue when our AC somehow leaked into several walls, ruining the drywall and creating a headache for us. Our insurance company sent Beflor out to rip out all the walls and from an insurance adjuster, we heard they typically create more work likely hoping to get the bid. It seemed like that's what they did, so when it came time to fix the walls, we shopped around a little. My husband reached out to these guys and arranged for them to come by when one of both of us would be home. This is important because another company was bothered that we wanted someone to be home if they were here working. They actually got offended asking if we'd be looking over their shoulders when we could simply "be gone and let us (that company) just lock up when we're done." Uh, no. So, I expected the Delarosa company to be similar and I couldn't have been more wrong. I believe it was Kevin who came out and did the estimate. He was friendly and not even bothered by my 2yr old daughter trying to see what he was doing. The next time, was the older brother whose name escapes me at the moment. He too was friendly and did a great job. He put down plastic covers on our carpet even though we told him he didn't have to (it's eventually getting replaced). He was careful and I liked that! They finished the job with this brother and Kevin here again. Again, neither was bothered by my daughter or even me, walking in and out trying to get other things done. Something that just sealed the deal on the 5-star review was that one of them fixed a hole in the wall they noticed. My kids liked to take the doorstop off when they were younger. The garage door would swing open and punch a hole in the wall. This happened 3 times before we gave up trying to repair it and just lived with it. One of the Delarosa brothers fixed it quickly and I thought that was so nice! I'm hoping to never need drywall repaired again, but if so, I'd definitely call these guys! read more

Best thing you can do for a company is to say you would hire them again. We would definitely use the De La Rosa and Sons Drywall company again. They needed to reschedule our job and let us know almost two weeks in advance and on the reschedule, Kevin was here early and getting the work area prepared and ready to go. I appreciated very much that he noticed two other areas that could be done and did them without any additional cost. He represents the company with honesty and quality. Not a good experience, cost us twice with the painter's for a simple vaulted ceiling seam, Delarosra was confident with estimate, my gut told me otherwise. Because they don't paint no way to tell if their seam correction is solid until painting was done, well they we're way off, came back finally 3 weeks later re-coated seam 60% more than 1st. Time. Was not concerned we have to pay painter's twice and buy more paint add rude and negative on 2 nd. Repair with an outcome of only 70% better. Expressing our concerns via e-mail (extra painting cost, not a good job covering again) no response...moving on to next customer to scam. Look elsewhere for drywall needs. read more
