Not necessarily a bad review. This was my fourth and probably my last time here at this salon. My stylist for my color session is someone I have been getting hair cuts with. She is great with dealing with my hair. It's thick and I have a-lot of it. I get my hair done (colored) about once a year and do minimal up keep to help it recover. This was the same approach I had when scheduling my balayage appointment for copper red on a level 5 brown hair. The inspo picture was shared and my stylist seemed very confident in understanding what I wanted. When coloring we did go in a second time to deepen the red to try and hit my desired look. She got pretty close. I left paying $300 plus for my hair. The balayage (150) + the amount of bleach used (50) + a trim which was not a for sure in the beginning but HAD to be added because my stylist fried the lighter parts of my hair (70) + keratin treatment (25) and tip because I do appreciate my stylist for her time and (50). As far as the end results for the price... I've had better and have paid much less. Oh and my top was ruined (bleached) in the back and I was not told by anyone when I left the salon. read more

They charged me $1000 to put one braidless sow in row into my hair. Two weeks later, it had fallen out. It was only hanging on to my hair by the beads on the side I made another appointment went into see my stylist Casey. and she told me it was normal growth even after I informed her that it was pulling on my hair and it hurt. She told me she could fix it the following week and it would be another $600 a sew in is supposed to last 6 to 8 weeks, I got it done on December 13 and I was back in the salon on January 9 after that I decided to go somewhere else and so I went back to the salon to retrieve the hair I had purchased. I was net with great hostility and resistance, and was treated as if I was of a lower caliber I was verbally attacked and threatened I was locked out of the salon, and they sat inside, laughing at me. Their level of professionalism is nonexistent. And they're ethics are definitely a question .After I took the hair out later that day night, I was met with an extreme amount of hair loss, excruciating pain, and blisters in my head from the hair pulling so tight on my phone scalp, I then tried to reach the owner and was requesting to speak with her and she responded by telling me she was not refunding the money or responding to my emails of I wanted to sue she'd see me in court . I recently moved to Pensacola from out of state and was looking for a hairdresser who knows how to color hair. In a Facebook group I asked about hair stylists and Hailey Fell from De NOVO Salon reached out to me. I was looking for a change and I knew it would be a difficult task changing permanent dark red with blonde sections to a more brownish with highlights as well coving my "wisdom growth". Well, Hailey really knows her stuff! She worked super hard but seemingly effortless as it just seemed to come naturally for her. She did an amazing job and I am very excited about the results and thankful I've found my new stylist! I had the worst experience in my life at this salon today. My appointment was scheduled with Hailey at 9am. When I showed up I had a picture of my expectations and asked her if she could achieve that. As she did my hair she explained that she was gradually going to add the strawberry blonde into my hair over a few sessions (why when I asked for a transformation?) but she proceeded and I even added the keratin treatment ($25) when she blowed dried my hair I was disgusted. She completely pulled all the blonde out of my hair which left it like a brown with very very little red in it. I said something and the manager on the floor was helpful, I guess and said that another stylist who was more qualified than Hailey would be helping me? More qualified??? I didn't catch her name, but SHE decided that it could be fixed by adding more blonde. She proceeds and washes my hair which to according to Hailey would cancel the keratin treatment. When she was done....my hair barely looks blonde and absolutely no red whatsoever in my hair? My hair looks worse now than it did before. The manager and stylist both asked if I was happy and I just said yes so I could get out of there. It was 1:30 by that time and I was over it. I start a new job and I wanted to look my best. And I look washed out. I have never been so disappointed. No one cared to either help me achieve anywhere near what I asked for. read more

Samantha is one of a kind. I have extremely thick hair and she knows exactly what to do with it every time. I am naturally a very dark brunette but she has given me the perfect blonde blonde hair I've always wanted. Second visit to this salon for hair color and got an eye brow wax this visit. Hair turned out great but eyebrow wax was another story. The girl did a good job but the next day I had red bumps all over my skin where it was waxed. It turned into horrible acne that is very painful. Seeing as it didn't get any better but actually worse I called the salon today and the manager called me back. In so many words she tried blaming me by saying I just have sensitive skin or have changed a face wash which I don't have sensitive skin and have been using the same face care regiment for years. I have very clear skin and now my face looks like a pre teen and hurts!!! I have had eye brow waxes for YEARS and have never had this happen. The manager didn't seem sympathetic at all and didn't even offer a refund. Why would I come back after being treated like this? My face looks horrible and I'm about to leave for a vacation looking and feeling like this. Incredibly disappoint and hurt! read more
