    Prosciutto Pizza

Pizza and Prosecco? That's a great idea! But I actually had pizza and red wine which was also very good. So, basically it's a casual pizza restaurant with a nice vibe. Definitely date material. Buy a bottle and share a pizza because the dessert list looked yummy...but I was too full to eat it. But I wish I could have! The pizza was very tasty. I ordered the margherita pizza and my only comment on it is that I would have liked more basil. I got three pieces, but I like a little bit on each slice. The crust was thin, but not too thin, and it had the perfect amount of sauce with delicious cheese. I really really liked the atmosphere. As I said, great place for a date, but I went with a friend which was also nice. It's just a chill spot to eat some good pizza and drink some wine. Service was really nice as well. While I'm not in the neighborhood for this particular restaurant, I would like to go to De Pizzabakkers again.

Big portions, but finished every bite! Food is amazing here.

We decided to give De Pizzabakker's a try after our hotel recommending them for a bite to eat. It was our first evening so didn't fancy a trip into Dam so went here as it is located a few doors down from our hotel. So glad that we did! The pizza was freshly cooked and tasted amazing. The portion size was big, but I couldn't resist their panacotta for dessert. With no regrets! Also, a glass of prosecco is roughly 3€ which is absolutely great! My boyfriend and I live around the Essex/London area and a glass prosecco is never priced below at least £7/£8! Great value for money, and amazing food! Only downside is that they don't accept cash, which we didn't prepare for before travelling to Amsterdam. We always exchange our spending money into cash, but will probably exchange half of our holiday money on a prepaid card next time as this seems to be an approach of most places we've visited in Amsterdam . Minuscule downside for such a lovely restaurant with a good vibe, great food and friendly staff! :)

Food was delicious , we stayed in an air bnb down the street . Individual pizzas are big . I got the Salami , my friends got margarita and prescuttio , A gem , but they do close a little early

So good! We based our decision to eat here on yelp reviews. We showed up and the place was booked, but they worked us into the terrace. The focaccia ... so different, but so so so so good! Make sure to make a reservation or come at off times.

Me and my partner happen to come across this amazing place and I'm happy we did we're both born & raised in New York and this is hands down the best pizza we have ever had. I wouldn't trust anyone that says this place isn't good. The service the environment the food 10/10. A Must go!

4.25 Stars. Ventured over here on my first night in Amsterdam after reading some stellar reviews, and was stoked to have some primo pizza. I arrived at 6pm, and there was no one else there except for me (changed later, as more people started streaming in). I ordered a pizza with sausage and red bell pepper, and yes, I did find it to be really damn good, but it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had. For some reason, after reading the reviews here on Yelp, I thought it would be at least top 3, so I was a tiny bit disappointed, hence the 4.25 stars. I had a glass of wine with my pizza, and I followed up the pizza with a dessert, which was very nice, as well. All in all, a solid experience, though I did find the girl working the bar/serving the restaurant to be just a little below my expectations for this place. Come here expecting a really good pizza, but by no means expect the best you've ever had, or even top 3 if you're a pizza lover. Keep that in mind, and you'll be totally satisfied.

Awesome bruschette, delicious pizza with crusty dough and tasty desserts (big up to the chocolate calzone)! A lovely place for a nice dinner with friends or in couple ! Also, waitresses are very sympathics :)

Bruschetta selection starter, great to share!

I didn't end up eating here. It was busy when we walked in, around 7, and very bright out. I saw a mouse running around so I left.

He mentioned that this place is popular with celebrities and on the brick wall are the autographs of some of the celebrities that went there which I thought was really cool. We ordered: Focaccia (Fresh baked focaccia bread served with EVO oil from Puglia and semi dried tomato cream): focaccia was sliced and toasted and the semi dried tomato cream so yummy to slater on the bread. Burrata Pugliese (Burrata Pugliese cheese, tomatoes, homemade Pesto Genovese - EVO oil from Puglia): Burrata, was always, super creamy and totally delicious. My friend ordered the Fiordilatte mozzarella (tomato sauce, spicy salami, speadrable spicy sausage, stracciatella Pugliese cheese pizza. It was quite large and 2 of my friends shared that. I stole a bite and the spicy sausage was so good! I wasn't too hungry and ordered the minestrone soup which was so comforting on a cold day. It arrived piping hot and was full of vegetables. I felt so much better after having this. Service was attentive and friendly. I would love to come back the next time and try the pastas.

The service and environment were friendly, and the food delivered. We enjoyed a Burrata tomato salad made with arugula, focaccia, penne pasta arriabata, and a rib eye steak. We also purchased a bottle of Italian wine, a barolo that was very nice. I will tell you that if we had drank more going to the bathroom, would've been a harrowing experience as the bathroom is located upstairs up a very narrow, steep stairwell. So, this Italian restaurant is very worthy of being considered while you're in downtown Amsterdam.

The proscuitto was a bit more elevated with parmesan and arugula, and was also delicious! It was almost a little too much though to the point where I preferred the margherita. Boy, we got lucky that we did. My parents and I have been in Europe for almost two weeks now and I kept thinking that I was in Italy the entire time while at this restaurant, as we did so much traveling. It was within walking distance of the hotel we were staying at, which was a plus. The restaurant is so small that it only has about eight tables and one waiter doing all the work, plus two chefs working in the kitchen. During our time there, lots of people that did not have a reservation were being turned away. We were seated at a table that had a decent view of the kitchen, though trying to get into my seat was a little tight. We started off with a glass of Pinot Grigio white wine, which is basically what we've been drinking at like every restaurant during our trip. This time, rather than sharing a bottle that was at our table, we just had the wine from the glass. After trying out so many different kinds of white wines over the past two weeks, I think I've grown to enjoy them so far. The food here was outstanding and delicious. I had the Pasta Bolognese, my dad had the ham and mushroom pizza, and my mom had the ravioli. The pasta just exploded with flavor in my mouth, including the Bolognese itself. My dad commented that this was one of the best pizzas he's ever had so far, and my mom commented that her ravioli was super flavorful, including the sauce that came with it. This is your taste of Italy right here in Amsterdam. Would highly recommend to other people!
