It can be tricky for me to find a decent vegetarian/vegan bite to eat in Ireland; luckily, Brendan, whose family owns the place (which, as the name hints at, used to be a hat factory), has knowledge of vegan food and could assure me that everything would be in order. If you don't need the ambiance, or arrive late, you will find good, basic comfort food in a quiet atmosphere upstairs.
