My time at Laurel Street Tattoo Parlour could not have been better. Jake perfectly inked my bat with virtually no discomfort. The parlour was extremely clean and well lit. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

We stopped by this tattoo shop over the weekend to check out the museum. The displays could have…read morebeen better labeled, but at least Elyse was kind enough to give us a quick tour before we explored a bit on our own. Lots of cool and interesting artifacts and exhibits to see. The work of some of their tattoo artists, as well as circus and sideshow art, including a famous sword swallower. No photos are allowed in the back rooms which include cultural pieces and photography, miniature sculptures of 20th century tat equipment, and a section for tattoos without consent (i.e. japanese punitive tats and those used during the reign of hitler and the holocaust). Note, they don't really honor their listed hours, meaning they may close more than an hour early or the door may be locked midday with a note that they will return hours later. I'm not a fan of unreliable hours being communicated with the public. But I do appreciate that it's free to visit the museum.

Showed him our ideas and waited over two hours just to see a first sketch, which wasn't that impressive. I asked for changes to the lettering and got an eye roll. And that wasn't the only eye roll. I just wasn't feeling the lettering and also asked if I could have the moon be a bit bigger. Rolled eyes again. So I asked if I was irritating him and he said I was "nit-picking" and "reaching"; and he "had a long day ahead". Seemed like he basically, just wanted to get us done with no concern for what we wanted. So, after three hours we left with no tattoos. Not to mention, shop and bathroom were dirty. I don't know if he was just having a bad day or what, but it was a bad experience.

I am a super picky person that used to pencil my brows every day. I could get the shape just right so I was pretty nervous, but Heather is amazing!!! So patient, detail oriented, and SKILLED! She killed it! It's been almost a year and I am still so happy with my brows! I will definitely be seeing her for my touch up and forever!!! Jordan is also super patient and talented!
