I recently purchased a truck from Dealer One Auto Credit. The salesperson was kind and helpful, and I don't believe they were aware of any major issues with the vehicle. So let me be clear the customer service was great ( I don't want to mention any names involved because again the customer service was one of the best I've had with a dealership) However, shortly after purchase within 30 minutes a misfire developed which triggered a check engine light. The next morning I started the vehicle and that's when I knew I really got screwed. The vehicle rattled terribly from a cold start and then ticked really bad as well (the engine must've been warm before I test drove it). I knew going in that the truck needed new tires and front wheel hubs, which I was willing to handle, but beyond that, I wasn't aware of any other issues. None of the obvious repairs were negotiable during the sale, which should have been a red flag. On top of that, a $500 "documentation fee" was tacked on after the listed price, which felt like a punish the buyer fee, but this is 100% normal. Ultimately, I was left with over $7,500 in unexpected repairs due to hidden engine issues requiring extensive timing work, something I opted not to tackle myself. Here's the reality... There's no way that management even arguably the sales person didn't know about that awful rattle. That doesn't just start. Obviously they knew to make sure that engine had been started and warmed up/lubricated so it wouldn't rattle when a prospective buyer came by. I knew the truck was valued at about 15,900 KBB, but again it needed 2 new wheel hubs and 4 new tires with a list price of 15000 with fees on top oh and it didn't come with a FOB just a bare key, which is fine so that was 300 to get and get programmed. While I believe the salesperson was likely unaware, it's hard not to feel that management knew more than they let on. It's clear that vehicles here are acquired cheaply at auction, cosmetically cleaned, and flipped with little or no inspection. It is sold "as is", but selling a vehicle with dry-rotted tires and failing wheel hubs issues obvious on a basic test drive raises questions about the dealership's integrity especially at KBB value / excellent condition. Additionally a similar vehicle on the lot had major issues enough for me to instantly say absolutely not as soon as I turned the key over. In hindsight, I would have preferred full transparency. When I sold vehicles some what commercially, I disclosed major issues and sold at a fair price. Typically with a small profit just to get it off my hands. Had this truck been listed for $9-10K with its problems clearly stated, I would've felt fine about the purchase. Instead, I was overcharged and left with an avoidable financial burden that if listed fairly the 5k off KBB would've paid for "part" of the repairs and honestly would've been a solid price for the dealer, but still arguably a burden for the buyer, but again I'd still have taken that deal, but knowing that hell no I wouldn't have bought it for 15k+ / 22.5k after repairs for a vehicle valued at 15,900 in excellent condition via KBB. I won't be buying from Dealer One Auto Credit again and have advised others to steer clear. To Dealer One Auto Credit: I would advise against relying solely on the "sold as-is" disclaimer as a way to deflect responsibility in situations like this. It's legally valid for sure. Using "as-is" shouldn't be a substitute for transparency. If a vehicle has significant mechanical concerns, it's reasonable and fair to disclose them upfront.. This builds trust and shows integrity in your sales process. Otherwise, it gives the impression that issues are being concealed, only to be dismissed after the fact under the title "sold as is". Going to a customer's review whos stating a serious issue arose briefly after purchase is mere hours or days and saying "well we sell as is and that's disclosed" is like a band-aid on a GSW. Also, serious issues don't pop up an hour or a day later. They're hidden intentionally. A little honesty goes a long way. Clear disclosure of known or visible issues helps protect both your reputation and your customers. read more

Yikes! Went to go look at a vehicle and the guy we talked to was completely uninterested in talking with us. In the middle of talking he got up to get the phone and would rather do that than talk with us. Looking everywhere else instead of communicating, and got on the phone to talk with his boss and would not budge on price even with all the tires being dry rotted, overhead lights staying on, only one key fob, and no keys to the built in tool boxes. I purchased a 2018 GM Sierra truck with the title stating it as clean. Upon returning back to MN, an auto repair shop said With 100% certainty that this was a flood vehicle. There was sand packed in every possible place along with water lines far above the doors. After flushing the transmission fluids, as well as the driveline service and transfer case fluid, 2 batteries, the truck will not start or run. As of now, this is a junk vehicle. do not buy a vehicle from these people. they are the type of people to put glue on a leak or saw dust in the transmission to keep it from slipping. I sold them my 2017 Audi a4 which I bought for 12k. They gave me 6k for it and told me only thing wrong with the 2017 f-150 was a alternator, took it to shop next day and it needed a new timing chain, water pump, coolant leaked, 4x4 didn't work, drive train leaked oil a week after I got it out the shop. today was going to Dallas for work and the gas peddle started losing pressure and black smoke came out the exhaust. 150k miles f-150 bought it for 20k after timing chain and coolant was fixed that was another 3k. they made a deal with me and paid for 2k of the repairs and stuck me with the rest. these people are scum of the earth. the severely overweight lady at the counter was eating some avacado toast like it's gonna help her gut go away and started saying what can you expect from a used car dealership, I'd expect you to sell a car that can drive for at least 10k miles. stay far away from this scummy place and if your dumb enough to buy from here stay far away from the white f-150 stx 4x4 with vin number 1FTEW1EG1HKE17398 it is a lemon and they will gladly over charge you for any of the trash they have on their lot. read more

A family member recently bought a vehicle from them and 3 days after driving it off the lot the check engine light came on and the passenger side floor board was soaking wet. It was assessed at a reputable company and Dealer One Auto knowingly sold it to them with a bad catalytic converter! And sent us somewhere where they changed the setting in the car to reset it. A day later the bottom of the floor boards are soaking wet. Don't believe any of the 5 star reviews. They are most likely all fake. I drove 3 hours from Dallas to look at 2 cars which they said were in very good condition. They were both very rough. A 2011 Charger with 72,000 miles that stunk like mildew inside and had major interior problems and the exterior paint was peeling and fading. ( What a POS) A 2016 Volvo with an airbag light on, They said it went on because they had to take the front seat out when they detailed the car. ( ya right! LOL who has ever heard of removing the the front seats to detail a car. I used to be in the car business and that is total BS) ( if that was the case why wouldn't they take it and get the light turned off if that was really the case. A replacement air bag is like $2000. Makes no sense) Their business model is obviously buying cars in the very rough condition that no respectable dealer wants, and for many thousands less then they are selling them for. And then sticking poor, somewhat naïve people in them, that can't get financing elsewhere. called twice before driving 2 hours to look at vehicle. They seemed to answer questions directly. Kinda like if you ask if a rainbow is blue. Their answer, yes. Either they altered online photos or the photographer is very skilled at hiding "blemishes". Truck had indications of commercial stickers, extensive scratches, a dent,... that did not show up in online photos. Truck bed has extensive use, no photo there. June 1st 2020 ----So I found a vehicle at this dealership, I read ALL of the BAD reviews before going but I totally disregarded them and continue to show interest in this dealership. Fast forwarded to this week **** I found a 2012 Nissan Murano went to test drive it on Monday .. Tuesday- I received the purchase order from the dealership .. I asked the manager Sean if I could have the vehicle taken off the market due to me going to the bank to receive the check for the vehicle, he said NO the vehicle is first come first serve. Got car reposed for a month in a half late.. been a customer for over 2 years.. and had income problems.. had communication with them to let them know I was going to pay full amount due to get car back in less than a week also I had left some stuff in the car.. I told Luis that same day what I left so it wouldn't get lost..and I get my car back with my stuff missing and this is the second time it happens they stole my items and at the end want to say they aren't responsible because they have the right too.. these people have horrible customer service. Maria is rude after this situation happened, I guess she's frustrated that I keep calling.. and doesn't know how to handle it. they get mad if you call wanting to resolve an issue and say nothing is there fault. I would think twice about purchasing a vehicle here, also my car started having problems the next day I got it!!! This place sucks literally.
