I brought my RV in for an Onan Generator repair on Monday, October 28th. From the get-go, I was overwhelmed by the owner, Jerry, who couldn't stop talking about how religious he was. That should have been my first warning sign. He assured me to bring the RV back on Tuesday morning for troubleshooting while I waited. However, when I returned on Tuesday, he claimed he was too busy to look at it. After receiving no updates, I went back on Thursday, only to find Jerry absent at a Drs appointment. Gustapho, an employee wanted to trouble shoot items I had already had done. I did not want to waste time and assured him that those would be a waste of time. He eventually found the problem and estimated it would take four hours to fix. On Friday, Jerry called me at 9:33 AM, and I missed his call. I returned his call at 9:34 AM, and he said they couldn't repair the RV until Monday or Tuesday of the following week. When I stopped by the shop at 2:30 PM on Friday the same day, I discovered the RV was already repaired. My tires were muddy, and Jerry informed me they had to pull the RV out of a hole. I'm unsure if i the RV was properly towed or if they used a tow truck. Its my opinion that any way to cut corners, cost, or to be dishonest would have been his method to pulling my stuck RV out of his muddy parking lot. To make matters worse, S&S broke my screen door. I overheard Jerry's granddaughter asking if he was going to tell me about the damage. The final shock was the bill: $1,263.34 for actual 4.2 hours of work, despite the mechanic's initial estimate. The breakdown of the exagerated bill included 8.2 hours at $140 per hour for a generator that wouldn't start, removing the cover, replacing the ignition, cleaning the carburetor, and test running it. Parts cost $70.90, shop supplies $7.50, and a 2.50% card usage fee, which I later found out is illegal in some states. Note - (Under the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act (CARD Act) of 2009, merchants are allowed to impose surcharges on credit card transactions, provided they do not exceed the cost of accepting the card. However, merchants must give customers clear notice of the fee before the transaction) As I left S&S about 1 mile out, the engine light came on, and when I called Jerry, his so-called Christianity went out the window. He became combative, insisting he didnt tear up my vehicle and he charged the max hours the book allowed, even though they only worked for 4.2 hours. The 8.2 hours isnt humanly possible because Jerry did start on the repairs until 10:00 am and finished at 2:00pm. I routinely drove by and believe he charged me for repairing the door he broke as well as pulling my RV out of the muddy hole which was also his fault. He further insulted me by lying about having two guys on the job, even though the invoice showed one employee billed. He tried to make a logical adjustment for the deceit but the evidence contradicted his lies. Jerry admitted none of their guys were certified, with one even saying he was still learning. The one technician said his expertise was tile flooring and asked if I needed any work done on the weekend Stay away from S&S Service Center if you value your time, money, and sanity. Google this business and because this place is a nightmare.

I took my high mileage 1999 GMC 1500 here for tires, I don't use this truck a lot these days. But I…read morebought top of the line Cooper tires. As when I need i the truck, I need it..They installed them, I was happy with my purchase, no issues. So approximately 1 year later, Having no cause to pull any of the wheels off at al since l, I needed to put on rear brake pads, (I usually do all my own service work as I have been a mechanic for most all of my life) and thought I would go ahead and rotate the tires while doing this. So I jacked it up on all 4's using a my battery powered impact, all the lugs came off as expected except for the RF wheel. It took a socket breaker bar, with a 4ft cheater bar to get ANY of the 6 Lugs off that wheel, 3 broke off while trying to come off, 3 I managed to get off, but they still required all these same tools ALL the the way off. At 72 years old, Not fun! Bottom line: severely over torqued in my opinion. So I had to pull the caliper/caliper bracket, rotor, off just to get at them. I replaced 6 lugs, and 6 nuts. especially with Anti Lock brakes(normally you would just replace a hub assy, Delco $270.00 at AutoZone) not to mention that took me all day to replace the studs and nuts after all was done. Last I had to ask a friend to take me to a parts store to get the parts. As I was in Ohio when this happened. I looked up their Website, they were on Facebook, and showed a Email address, so I emailed them, sent in pictures of the issues, and awaited a response. Nothing, next day nothing, no returned email notice, so I called, explained the issue, then the excuses started. First I was told one one tech per job. I was the only one there at the time they were doing my tires, 3 guys worked on my truck. Next excuse was that lugs nuts and studs were a high wear item, this trucks wheels and tires had only ever been off previously 4 times, My Dad, Me, Both of us take our wheels off and take them to a tire store, and put them back on ourselves normally. this time I was heading to FL with the truck and didn't have time to do it myself. Anyway, the excuses kept coming, despite that it took me all day to go get the parts, do the job to get the truck back on the road, I was asking for the 35.00 it cost me to buy the parts.. He said, he could MAYBE deduct it off of future service... By that time I was steaming mad... still calm though..I said well I can see where this is going... and then he hung up on me! No profanity from either... as if I would ever go back there with all the excuses! So If you get your tires there, I hope you don't have the experience I had! I would hate to think what this would have cost me for a/this shop to do it!!! So glad i was at home, and not broken down on the road with this.. Had I been there, and taken it to them I'm sure I would have had to pay for a hub assy, lugs, and who knows what else...and labor!! Never ever again! I will try to add more pictures later.
