I realise people have bad days but common. If you can't be professional with a patient you are in the wrong line of work. The front office staff appear to be intimidated by the radiography tech's demeanour and attitude. They finally realized and called me to the back to draw my blood. It was a very long wait and quite some disorganization for something that usually doesn't take long. Also, if you have a Beaumont doctor the results are typically in, read & forwarded to their office on the same day - which is great if you are worried about something. The office is located in the Haggerty Medical Plaza building which is right by the Lifetime Fitness on Haggerty at Ford Rd/ 275.. it is close to the Hampton Inn hotel. The imaging center is suite 180 on the ground floor.

I mentioned this to the new tech, and she was shocked at how painful it was for me. She said it isn't normal for it to hurt. Fun fact, I did not know caffeine will make your breast tissue sensitive, so avoid it the day of the procedure. After a lively and informative chat, she showed me how the machine actually works and that it's not meant to cause pain. Her name was Carrie and she was a godsend. This time it didn't hurt at all. I left more knowledgeable and empowered.

This place is just so much easier, they actually have real people that answer the phone and scheduling was super easy. Getting my most recent MRI was easier here than getting my haircut! I have been to hospitals and just the check in process can take 20 minutes and the parking is horrible. I parked right out the front door. I was filling out the paperwork 10 seconds after walking in and the wait was about 10 minutes before I was getting the MRI. I researched the cost and was surprised to find that hospitals get paid over $1200 for this service but places like this charge much less. I read that other review and that is not my experience. You go to a doctor and your insurance pays what it pays. I don't know about everyone else but when I go to a medical appointment I give them my health insurance card and whatever the insurance pays it pays and I pay my share - just a deductible with my policy. Overall, my experience was "fine". I scheduled a Saturday 12:45pm appointment for the SneakPeek DNA…read moretest to find out the sex of the baby. I cannot speak to any experiences with the ultrasound services. I arrived at 12:30 and stood at the front desk for at least 5 minutes before anyone showed up or acknowledged that I was there. There seemed to only be 1 employee working and she was with another couple for their appointment. The place was clean, well decorated, with soft and calming music in the waiting room. The room where the test was administered was also clean - a couple of chairs, a small table, and a sink. Let's get into my main concerns... The woman that checked me into the front desk also administered my test. She told me to leave my coat in the waiting room while we went to the other room for the test. Overall, this isn't a huge issue for me. I mostly found it strange, as I took my purse with me and could have set my coat with my purse in the test room. To start the test process, she picked up a small plastic/nylon brush from the sink, added antibacterial soap (the kind you could buy at a grocery store), and scrubbed the back of my arm. Once she was done cleaning my arm, she put the brush back in the sink. I got the unsettling feeling that this brush is reused for multiple clients. (this may not be true, but that was how it appeared) She did wear gloves during the test administration. She was chewing gum the entire time she administered my test. I found this to be unprofessional given the environment. This part is my mistake - I did not realize that "Sneak Peek" tests can be purchased by anyone online. I could have purchased the kit myself and completed this whole process myself at home. If you are only coming for this service, save a bit of money here. Overall, I found the appointment left me feeling "off" and a bit uncomfortable. Everything seemed uncertain and slightly unprofessional.

They hung up on me a total of 15 times in the matter of a week, and today I finally had ENOUGH and sat in the office and refused to leave until they sent my CT results to my doctor. Please, save yourself and your health, and choose somewhere else. Your life might depend on it. These guys do not care about you, or your heath. And you deserve better. Actually, you guys should try calling right now and see if they answer their phones... I bet they won't... I've attached my call log with Northland. Pretty disappointing.
