I have been there three times. It is always closed. The website states hours: Friday thru Sunday noon - 6:00 PM. I learned they are closed for the summer. They decided to close early, May 2nd. This is after we drove an hour to learn that their summer comes early or it is when anyone wants to work. We are members of various car clubs and were entertaining the idea of one of the clubs might want to drive there for fun. This will never happen as you never know if they will be open. Do not waste your time. Instead drive to the Longstreet casino/restaurant in Amargosa just up the road from the Death Valley Junction. I didn't expect to find a brewery in Tecopa, Ca., and I really didn't expect to find a great brewery in Tecopa, but that's exactly what Death Valley Brewery is. I live in the Pacific North West where craft beers are everywhere, and there's a lot of competition, and a lot of great beer. Well, I sampled three of Death Valley Brewery's offerings, and I can tell you, these guys know what they're doing; all three were delicious. If I lived near Death Valley Brewery, I'd be a regular customer. If you're passing by Tecopa, you don't want to miss this place. read more

I highly recommend a trek out to DV Brewery! Spend a few hours. You won't be disappointed. They brew and have available, a tremendous amount of unique hand-crafted beer made on-site. I tasted several styles and flavored, but favored the blueberry, yes blueberry! Additionally, they have Brots, burgers, and goodies to soak up the alcohol before driving home. The brewery grounds are peaceful and inviting. They have a club for super-customers that offers major discounts and special privileges to utilize their clubhouse. My sister found this place using Roadtrippers, and we stopped on the way back from Death Valley last weekend. Absolute gem; well worth a stop! We had lunch (which was great), and stayed for 3-4 beers. Every beer was well-balanced and original. The brewmaster knows his stuff, and it was fun chatting with him about beer. Grabbed a growler to go (great design btw), and can't wait to share the beer with friends. Anytime I'm within an hour of Tecopa, I'll be stopping by again. read more

My husband and I visited this brewery last week....WOW, we were so impressed. The owner Jon and his beautiful wife were true beer aficionados. The beer was cold and amazing and he encouraged you to try several different selections. The glassware was beautiful and the conversation was amazing! After a hot soak, this was definitely the place to be. As beer snobs, we were truly impressed-better beer selection! Better than anything we have found in Vegas. A MUST STOP!!! read more

I stopped here just after lunchtime on the first weekend of December 2016. Tecopa is a town of almost nothing, not even a convenience store, though they do have a date farm and Death Valley Brewing, open three days per week. Upon passing through the door, my group was greeted by the proprietor/brewmaster and a few four-wheel drive enthusiasts. We tasted some of his ales and guest taps and I must say, I was very impressed. There was some grapfruit or citrusy ale in particular that was very good, as it rivaled some if my favorite brews native to San Diego. There's a pool table as well as a drum set and other assorted musical instruments in the adjoining room, I'm guessing for impromptu jam sessions? Had some good conversations with the proprietor and the patrons, all while drinking some pleasantly (and surprisingly) good brews. All in all it was a very fun experience. I will return next winter for more, provided they stay in business. Five stars are given for the ales, for the ambiance, and just for offering an ale oasis in the middle of nowhere.
