Nice place to grab a quick snack. We were in town during a recent trip to Death Valley National Park and this place came highly recommended to us. It did not disappoint! There are multiple small eateries inside with different hours. The main area has a bunch of snacks, including many sugar-free options. They also have toys and some novelties. Not the cheapest, but pretty reasonably priced overall. We tried the coconut dark chocolate haystacks and laffy taffy. The haystacks were really good. So much dark chocolate and nuttiness. The laffy taffy was alright. Prone to melting even at room temperature, but the kids enjoyed most of the flavors. There's also a gas station - very convenient! read more

Snack Heaven [Beatty NV] During road trips we like to stop by this store for snacks before heading to and out of Las Vegas. More than a convenience store it is a gift shop offering hot food, desserts and bulk candies of all types to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth... it is a specialty shop where you can order fresh sandwiches and other made-to-go items and get your hands on chocolate, beef jerky, nuts, snacks like popcorn, dried fruits, wasabi peas, and more salty treats, and of course, ice cream and just about any type of candy you can dream up. We shared a beef burrito... it was good. The banana split was yummy! They also sell stuffed donkey toys and other souvenir merchandise but you will also see real donkeys there sometimes blocking a gas pump LoL! This is definitely a one-stop shop for gas, candy, ice cream... and donkeys, if you're lucky to find them there while passing through Beatty in Nevada. I never stopped to look at the store next to eddie's world gas station til now. I seen the largest assortment of candy products in one location, rolls and rolls of every imaginable chocolate covered nuts and grains, jelly candies like sour fruits and licorice. Let's not forget the stuffed toys galore and just toys in general. This is an amazing rest stop along the way in Beatty. Located inside Eddie World Convenience Store in Beatty, NV, Death Valley Nut & Candy Store had a large variety of bulk-type candy and nuts sold by the pound. They seemed to have an even larger selection of plush animals and random toys for your weary tourist driving through the area. Drove to Beatty specifically for this place + to see some Burros and we saw several on the way here. This place was clean, the Subway made the whole place smell amazing and everyone was polite and friendly. I found $200 worth of candy and nuts and plushies. Oh and Grape Crush. Oh and a LLama. A plush one of course. They have a lovely waterfall and creek and I was very happy with the selection available for what they had and I cannot wait to go back but I do live in Las Vegas so it won't be often. On my trip to Beatty I stumbled across this rare find.....Well this is an establishment that's been around for quite a while and well known actually. Inside is a magical world of candy, stuffed animals and all the sweets you can imagine! it is a slice of Heaven tucked away in a small sleepy town There are endless aisles with everything imaginable- we're talking butter toffee peanuts, sea foam candy, crystalized ginger, all sorts of flavors of peanuts pistachios, sunflower seeds. Peanut Brittle, Hard candy, soft candy, dried out vegetables.... lock me in here for a night and I will need a crane to remove me in the morning . It just warmed my heart to be here there's something about candy and sugar that just makes me happy. Oh and I spent a little bit too much in here because I found A LAUNDRY LIST of stuff I liked! This was probably my fourth or fifth time here because my grandparents are addicted to the chocolate honeycomb and it's also just a lovely place to visit in general. It can be overpriced so be careful what you buy! They have some candy you can't get anywhere else along with re-packaged brand names like reese's so you just have to be mindful of what you're buying. I heard about this place but this was our first time driving through Beatty. It is hard to believe this is one of the largest candy stores in America until you walk in. There are several long rows of all different types of candy and miscellaneous other items including cold drinks and beer. There is also a Subway restaurant inside, a counter that sells jerky and a counter selling ice cream. We walked up and down the aisles and picked a few sweet items for the remainder of our road trip. A fun place to stop if you need gas, a snack, or just a rest. This place is a great rest stop with all kinds of candy and snacks to pick from. You'll probably find treats you haven't seen in years - the variety was large. They also had some food options - a Subway, a jerky place, and a coffee place. And a wide variety of Beaver and Death Valley souvenirs. If you're familiar with Eddie's World, I didn't realize they were associated until I went to buy some candy and saw their name on the packaging. Not sure to what degree they're associated, but once I saw that, the whole set up seemed to align. This place reminds me of a 1960's tourist trap. If you are from the East Coast, think South of the Border: "Pedro Says..." I had high hopes for the fruit, nuts and candy. Not sure why, but I thought they would have home made candy. Most everything was obviously removed from retail bags and resealed in their bags. They had orange circus peanuts, skittles, smarties, whoppers, etc., with the prices quadrupled. I did get a bag of dates and a bag of dried pineapple with chili powder on them, $17 total. The women's restroom was not clean. I also got regular gas at $4.07 a gal. In Pahrump, I had paid. $3.79. I thought the $4.07 was fair given the "remote" location. I would not make this a destination stop. read more

Great place to visit as you're passing thru, the coffee is better than Starbucks and the seasoned pistachios are to die for!

Handemade ice creams, candies, souvenir shop and gas station all in one. I had the best Rocky road Ice cream in a cup and the hubbs had a double scoop of pistachio. Do note they only accept cash if you're buying anything at the ice cream counter; they also offer milkshakes. Next time we're in Beatty; we'll save our sweet tooth fix for here and you should as well. I know you won't regret it. read more

If you stay in Beatty, NV or pass through, you have to stop by this place. It's pretty, you'll notice it while driving by. It's on Beatty's Main St! We came here a couple of times while in town to get gas (cheaper) and shop inside Death Valley Nut & Candy. I'd describe it as a Hadley's of the area! The place is big, has a Subway inside (great for sandwiches on the go), coffee, snacks, water, drinks, souvenirs related to Death Valley, which we did get. But what stood out was the great selection of dried fruit, candies, chocolates and fudge! It made us coming back to get more for us or to give friend for X-mas. Everything we got here - 2 types of fudge (peanut butter, walnut chocolate), chocolates (dark coconut, dark rocky road), dates, dried fruits combo are great! So delicious! Unfortunately they started limiting samples to two and they were a little skimpy at that. He's probably just following orders. I can't blame them. Most of there candy gives you diarrhea but everyone that works there are very nice people

This is a great place to make a road trip stop between Reno and Las Vegas. Although on the pricey side, they have just about every type of candy available with an emphasis on those that remind me of days of long ago. When my mother was alive, I would pick up some Swedish Fish (which reminded me of her) and a package of large snow caps (nonpareils, which were her father's favorite) to bring to her. On a recent roadtrip, we stopped here again. This time I was in search of pecan log rolls because they could not be found anywhere else on our gas stops. I remembered my mother picking them up on long road trips when I was little but I think they are just a Stuckey's thing. So I asked an older man behind the counter if they even had them here. He told me exactly where to look. There were two pecan log rolls in a bag so I took them back to the man to purchase them. He clearly approved of my choice! He told me to keep them in the refrigerator and take one out for a slice when I wanted some. While the pecan log from here is not the same as the Stuckey's one, which has a nougat center, the one I ended up with is still delicious with a rich caramel center. It reminds me of having a slice of pecan pie, which happened to be my mom's favorite. read more

My family and I stopped in for some ice cream and Candy. We've heard good things about this place from my dad, who use to stop there when he and my late mom were on a road trip and passing through. It's definitely a unique and quaint place-sitting off of the main road going through Beatty, Nevada. They are famous for their vast candy and beverage selection as well as their homemade ice cream and jerky. We bought some candy and soda. We decided we shouldn't leave without trying their ice cream. We ordered our favorite flavors: strawberry, Andes mint, lemon light, praline and cream and pineapple with coconut. It was delicious! We could taste the flavors as it doesn't get any better than this. This was a welcome stop. The store is clean and organized with friendly employees. It's a fun stop to make and a sweet one at that. Absolutely was so blown away on how much candy was available. I wanted to try them all, but I was concerned that the chocolate may be sub par. Since I owned my own candy shop in the past, I was a little cautious about the quality the chocolate may be. It turned out that the chocolate was wonderful. We loaded up on several bags. As we were about to leave the little town, we ended up turning around, and buying more. We also tried the beef jerky from the little shop located on the same premises. It was also very tasty. This a review specifically about the ice cream vendor inside this convenient store. Oh I ordered a two scoop ice cream, one coffee and one chocolate chip. They were both not very edible. I'm guessing at some point the ice cream had come up to temperature and then refrozen, it had an offputting taste. I could not tell if it was really handmade as per the advertisement. I went into this candy store last week to get a coke and use the restroom. One half hour later we walked out with $105 of their awesome candies. I'm old and therefore I believe I've tried it all. At age 67 I now have a new favorite Candy. It is like a Chocolate Kiss a bit larger than a gum ball with some cherry in the middle yet It's not a chocolate covered cherry whatsoever. This is a great pit stop going to/from Death Valley when you find yourself in Beatty. The place has adequate parking, you need to refuel your car before or after your expedition, and you need to get more liquid in your body and/or leave some there. The candy is a bit on the expensive side. I was looking at some of their sugar free chocolate and it was $12.50 a pound. That's not that bad, but for the kind of candy it was, it was high.
