I'm going to go ahead and give this five stars. Here's why and some deets: Anyone who knows me knows that normally I hhh-h-haaaaaaate breakfast places. It's usually wicked retarded to go out for breakfast. You know the drill: huge bucks for eggs toast and the like. Gross places with families and screaming toddlers and the usual horrors and bad vibes. The food is just crap that you should just make at home, etc. But this joint is au contraire, bro. It has a movie-theme menu and fun AF decor. Cinema-theme bric-a-brac stuff -Hollywood classic posters and do-dads, etc. The menu is visually stimulating and funny movie-pun dishes. Frankenstein Flapjacks. Stooges stuff. Wicked extensive menu. You get the picture. I had the Portuguese Firecracker or something like that. Portuguese meats and that Bobo Bread or whatever it's called. Sizzling hot in a skillet and yumski AF. BONUS: They have "those mugs" -IYKYK. The mugs that are wicked heavy and thick with those perfectly ergonomic thick rounded rims that just glide into your lips and hug 'em ever so comfortably. IYKYK. Smash that like button if you know what I am talking about. The staff is friendly AF. Absolutely wonderful. Food is hot n' fresh and it is a cool crowd -local yokalls. My dish was yummy AF and so was Mo's. Good portions and stellar on-the-spot service. Fun AF. Peep it out. PS - I think that this joint could kick it up yet another notch if they had some true movie-theme-constructed stuff. Make Frankenstein Flapjacks green with a rectangular-head shape flapjack and some basic food graphics on the face, etc. Maybe a Dracula too. Wow. What a difference . I haven't set foot in the place since my last review.. my experience was that bad. Based on the more recent reviews we decided to try it again as we were doing some shopping on the side of town. We only live maybe 15 minutes from here. The place was packed. And it has been remodeled- really nice inside!! Everything was clean and modern and everyone was super friendly. The ice coffee was great.. took a bit for the food to come but the wait was worth it. I would prefer to wait for hot fresh good food. I love that they have lunch anytime options (I don't eat eggs so usually breakfast out for me is difficult). The eggs were perfectly over easy. Hash browns hot not greasy and crispy. Bacon is perfect. Home fries well seasoned and not at all greasy . The steak sandwich- perfectly cooked medium. We will be back. read more

Absolutely love this place! We love going out to breakfast and trying new places, but we always come back here. The menu is absolutely huge and has a done of options for everyone. They also have some of the best pricing. We went to IHOP once and paid $45 for a crap meal and here you get a full breakfast of absolutely delicious food for less than half. And to add to everything else, the staff is fantastic. They are always so kind, cheerful and just happy that it makes breakfast that much better! 10/10 would always recommend!! read more

My husband and I have eaten here several times over the last 8 years. I thought I left review already but discovered I didn't. So this is long over do. Went to this place today for the first time. Big food selection on the menu. The food was good, nothing special though. What turned my experience bad was the fact that the waitress yelled out to the entire restaurant that I was parked blocking the handicap walkway and that I needed to move my car immediately. Yelling. To the entire restaurant. I should say that there were no signs or anything painted on the path a different color to indicate that was a walkway. Disappointed by the treatment and the embarrassment. I can't say enough about how WONDERFUL our experience with DeAvila's Catering was. The fact that they were the most reasonably priced caterers we got quotes from turned out to be only a bonus. The staff was friendly and professional- ABOVE and BEYOND to meet our guests needs- from the youngest child up. Our event was over 140 people and our (buffet) food was served hot and delicious. I really don't understand what all the hoopla is about. Took my grandson for breakfast yesterday ( we're trying a new place every month) and we both agreed that this is at the bottom of our list so far. Our scrambled eggs (mine with cheese) were stiff and hard...like they'd been overcooked (and the restaurant wasn't yet busy so THAT'S no excuse). The hash browns were mediocre at best. Great homemade linguica hash and homemade breads (banana, corn, apple, blueberry, cranberry, zucchini). The "homemade bread special" is the best buy - 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon, 2 eggs, beans or homefries, and homemade bread $5.99. First time we went was on a Sunday the place was packed. Our server was friendly she gave us the menus and Wow what an extensive menu it is. Fun to read, filled with old Hollywood themed breakfast.She recommended the Spicy Mixed skillet and spicy it is. My wife had the Wicked witch of the Western Omelet. Service was good (someone was constantly asking me if I wanted refills on coffee) and the Portuguese French Toast was not the best, but it was still tasty! I went to see Carlos (the owner) a month or so ago to discuss options for catering services for an upcoming fundraiser we were having for a family member. Carlos was so easy to work with and helped us out in every way he could. The delivered the food to Bristol RI for us and it was amazing!! So many people raved about how great the food was. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with homefries thinking.. How can you mess that up? Well.. Apparently this place figured it how. My sandwich was soggy and cold around the edges, and the homefries were nothing to brag about. Really dated inside.. The rest of my group didn't enjoy their meals either! Ok so where to begin. I saw something in my Groupon for DeAvilas. Then a friend of mine mentioned they had went there as well. So one day I decided to go there for breakfast. By far the worst breakfast I have ever encountered ! Lets start with the building .. Poorly lit as well as poorly maintained. Old dingy carpet, mix and match old chairs and tables. Now on to the menu's. The pages are different from menu to menu. So while my wife was looking at a certain item on a certain page. I had a hard time finding the same item because my page 2 was different from her page 2 and so on and so on. So we order. I ordered the Balsamic glazed steak with scrambled eggs with extra cheese. I asked for a bagel grilled with cream cheese and side of linguica hash. My wife ordered the Philly cheese steak scrambler with extra cheese. Ok so the food arrived in a more than reasonable time frame.. My steak was in a shallow cast iron skillet, still popping and sizzling like I had just ordered fajitas from Chili's. Only problem was they decided to dump my eggs into this pipping hot skillet. So now my eggs are burnt to the bottom of skillet! Oh by the way there was absolutely no cheese on my eggs, let alone the extra cheese asked for. My bagel that was to be grilled was cut by a blind person apparently because one side was about 2 inches thick while the other side was cut less than 1\4 of a inch thick. I should mention my bagel was dry because it was toasted instead of grilled as I had asked. My steak ....my steak was not cooked medium well as I had asked but was very well done, very tough and saddled with gristle. Oh and that balsamic glaze was non existent. My wife's potatoes were under cooked, her eggs were cold on arrival..and that Philly cheese steak scrambler was a abomination of cold , coagulated cheese and gristle. The only 2 bright spots of this breakfast were #1 the apple juice, which was cold and refreshing. #2 the linguica hash, which tasted great actually. Oh I can't forget that my table was wet from the apple juice that was leaking from the crack in my wife's tumbler glass. Service was ok not the worst by far and given all the things I mentioned previously how could it be the best either. I mean don't get me I understand that if you go to a local spot the regulars you see are going be much like the characters from the cabana scene from Star Wars ..and maybe the decor isn't going to be 5 star.. But "C'mon man!!!!" This is a classic example of a place just cashing checks and not putting anything back in the business. I am sure 20 to 30 years ago this place was pretty good. Now it is just a run down shell of what might have been a good business. Look I am no food critic or some breakfast snob. I might be able to over look a run down place if it served fantastic food or hell even good food. Do not be fooled by the nice pretty pictures that you see here or on Groupon.. read more
