The food here is great as are waitstaff and cleanliness. I had the chicken croquettes w/supreme sauce, mashed potatoes, grilled roll, cranberry sauce and coleslaw. Took half home. I try coleslaw all the time and this is just the right combo. Not swimming in dressing and not dry. I had a choice of a good variety of sides. Richard had the wimpy burger (huge!) w/crispy fries. Everything here appears to be homemade. A great variety of side dishes, too. Creative specials along w/their regular menu items.They have smaller plate meals, too. Prices reasonable as far as restaurants go these days Saw a lot of breakfast and lunch/dinner food go by and tons of take out orders being picked up. Good amount of parking spaces. Noticed a BBQ building next door, think it is for special parties. It gets crowded here but if you time it right, you will get in. We got here at 11:30. They serve all sorts of drinks, beer, wine along w/the usual diner style ice cream offerings. We will be back. read more

Big footprint of a diner, more in the New Jersey style than the Worcester dining car style, but shiny of chrome and red seats, with the typical 1950s memorabilia. Someone must have passed a law mandating diners to have Elvis, Marilyn, and Betty Boop on the walls. Comfortable digs, outdoor dining to boot, and extremely welcoming and friendly staff. -- Blueberry Muffin: My wife and I shared a breakfast "appetizer," grilled with butter by default. Would've been nice to have been asked, but not a problem. Mid-range density, with equal amounts of sweetness and butter in the dough, discernible even under the butter from grilling. Not life changing, but solid and satisfying. -- Omelettes: We each got our own, with mine a western and my wife's a build-your-own with assorted vegetables. Both were huge, with the add-ons tucked neatly inside and the egg surfaces, smooth and heaping. Home fries matched this impressive portion and came in uncrisp outside, very soft and fluffy inside, and seasoned but not oniony. Toast was toast, but many varieties to choose from. Coffee refills came regularly, cheerfully, and without the need to ask. Food overall was good-- definitely better than adequate, though with no life changing surprises. Dave's never disappoints. The granddaughter can't decide so she gets the m&m pancakes and chicken tenders with French fries which she says is so yummy. Oriental chicken wrap with panko coated chicken is always awesome. Variety can't be beat, service is always on point. Our go to with a group, everyone is happy. read more

We took our Ernie to the groomer for a glow up and went to Middleboro for breakfast at Dave's Diner, a throwback to the good old days of homestyle cooking served up fast. Boy was my breakfast terrific if artery-clogging. Here's as fine a plate of Biscuits and Gravy as you'll find in these parts. The sausage gravy was smooth and peppery with lots of sausage and it was topping a fine buttermilk biscuit that had been buttered and grilled. The home fries accompanying were a bit (just) on the salty side but well seasoned otherwise with lots of pepper and the whole thing was served up by friendly, efficient waitstaff. Stopped here to have lunch as I was nearby for work. What a great little place! Love the classic diner feel and the food was awesome! They're special of the day with shepherds pie, which is what I had and it was absolutely perfect. The portion size was not too big; it was just right. It has the diner vibe that I love and frankly found nothing to complain about. Nice atmosphere, very clean, great server and a tasty meal. Went to Dave's last week for lunch with my two granddaughters. They serve breakfast all day so they each got a different kind of pancakes and home fries. I got the smaller portion turkey dinner, which was huge. It had all of the fixings and plenty of turkey. Dave's is always such an easy choice because you can always find something good on the menu. read more

I was served hard-boiled eggs that were supposed to be poached, and burnt potatoes. When I asked if they would take the eggs off the bill, they declined, saying that I had eaten them., but they offered to deduct the coffee. Since I had drunk the coffee, I declined the offer. The mgr was disappointed that I posted it, but I said "that's what the price of eggs gets you." Whatever happened to "I'm sorry. Let me make that right."? Mehhh. My husband and I were in the area and stopped by for breakfast. The place itself is adorable and very inviting. It definitely has that retro-diner feel... I ordered eggs over-easy, bacon, toast and home fries. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich and french toast. We both thought our meals were just okay. Everything was cooked correctly but tasted almost bland, like seasonings were missing. It was just an underwhelming breakfast overall. Just waited in our place in line with the buzzer they give you for for them for at least 20 minutes only for them them to take a party the same size as ours (3 people) that came way after us, when I said we were there first she said our table is going to be ready in a minute, we left and will not be coming back there are way to many restaurants around here for them to be treating good paying customers with such disrespect, we are now having a lovely meal 1 mile up the street at Lorenzos, I feel bad for the waitstaff that missed out on a 50% tip, thanks for wasting our time read more

A real wayback machine, but even better. They know how to make bacon right. I know this is a real boring point, but they nail everything. Service, food, portions and the value is really amazing. I will be back. One look at the chicken & waffles made me a fan, but my first try was the Hungry Harry. Hard to finish the whole thing, but it was literally a full-kitchen-sink breakfast and the plates were hot, everything smelled great and was highly enjoyable. We visited on New Year's Day and saw a huge line out the door. We were going to turn back but decided to wait it out because we were getting hangry. The line moved pretty fast and we were seated after a 10-15 min wait! I ordered an Eggs Benedict and my friend ordered the omelette with corn hash. The food came out pretty fast and it was good! The home fries were a bit too salty though but nothing ketchup couldn't fix. The atmosphere was great and everyone was super friendly. I have been to Daves dozens of times. The waitresses make it a great place to eat. The menu is average & the food is average/good. Monday my food was not good. It tasted like somebody spilled the entire salt shaker in my meal. We had already waited so long to get seated & get our food, I just ate some of my meal.
