When I visited the shop last week, the person working behind the desk (Debbie?) was on the phone. She did not acknowledge my presence at all. Not even a nod of her head. I stood in front of the desk, waiting patiently for her to get off the phone for approximately 2 minutes. There was also a man sitting in front of the desk, off to the side (Debbie's husband?) who ignored my presence. After 2 minutes I started to look around the shop. There were some nice fabrics and I found one that would work for my project. However Debbie never got off the phone. After about 5 minutes I left. That's when I noticed the sign on the inside of the front door. It said "Masks not required, unless you look like Nancy Pelosi". I will never go to that shop again. read more

I went to Debbie's to find fabric for an office seat bottom. They had what I needed and after trying to recover it. I found it was over my skill level. It was like a treasure chest. I have never seen such a diverse array of fabric. Debbie has an eye for what prints or solids would match. Everyone on staff is gifted. I was impressed with the professionalism as well as the quality of their workmanship. Absolutely perfect. Everyone who helped me went out of her way to make me feel at home. This is a small upholstery shop in North Middleburg that you may easily miss. It's not fancy and does not have a big showroom but the staff knows their stuff. They have a wide variety of upholstery materials to choose from. My wife has a treasured family rocking chair that generations of children were rocked.
