Debby's Hallmark Shop is ok but could be great with better service. the store might be closing or they might be renegotiating the lease and renovating. The non-Hallmark products are 20% off. Hallmark products are regular price. All sales are final. The store and products are nice but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They were pushy about the bath bombs that I had no desire to look at or buy. I don't need a lecture about being able to use the Hallmark rewards coupon as the products I was buying were not on sale. The Hallmark rewards cannot be used on non-Hallmark products or sale prices anyway. It has always been that way. I think I will stick to buying Hallmark cards online or at Walgreens or the Dollar Store. Service is friendlier. read more

The Mgre. MELLISA tow ridge shopping center Debby's Is rude the minute you walk through the door. If you walk in there with a bag, she asks to take your bag. When I asked her why She said Obviously you never owned a store We have lots of theft here. I told her that it was not very "inviting" and she was not very nice the way she spoke She said Good Bye... bye bye bye.... So rude! I then talked to another store owner in the shopping center and they said Oh yes she has run a lot of people away from shopping in her store because of how unfriendly and rude she is. Not a very good "Hallmark" moment...owner!! I am still shocked at how nasty she was. One personality when You walk in and almost immediate change of personality when you ask her anything. Wow!! Don't bother shopping here. There are many other Hallmark stores that don't assume when you walk through the door you are going to steal from them. I have shopped in this store for years back when sweet Caroline Kay used to work there. I never leave that store spending less than $200 I would say. This owner is only hurting herself with her rude behavior and treating her customers like thieves assuming everybody that's walking in the door with a bag or without is stealing from her .. This is something they do at a beach store. It seems that anyone that knows her in that shopping center all says the same thing about her so this is typical behavior. I stopped at Debby's looking for some thank you cards (yes, I am one of those few people who actually still sends those). I found some here that were okay -- I really want some personalized thank you and note cards, but I've yet to find a stationer in the Raleigh-Durham area like I had in Charlotte. Christina G gave me a couple places to check out on her side of the Triangle, though. Debby's is your typical Hallmark store: cards, knick-knacks, gift wrap, some limited stationery, seasonal items, etc. I agree with Psalm that you can probably get most of this stuff elsewhere for a little cheaper. I was followed around as I shopped. Continuously asked if I needed help. The clerk requested that I hand her the item I was going to purchase and she would hold it at the desk for me. I've been in this store several times to shop and not once have i seen them follow down behind someone as I was followed and HARASSED. She took the item, I did make the purchase because I did not want it to look like I did not have the money to pay for it. If the bat that harassed me ever sees this review, you really suck as a person and I want you to know that. I wish stores could just put up a sign like "All are not welcome" if they only want to cater to their own or "All are welcome" if they welcome people from all colors and walks of life, that way I and many others would know not to even waste our time and money supporting bad business. I have been to this @DebbysHallmark two or three times this year. I found that the service and staff are excellent. The level of personal service that they provide, and the commitment to customer satisfaction are unprecedented. I was really impressed when I was looking for a certain keychain. I asked a nice lady who was stocking the shelves at the moment, and she stopped what she was doing and walked around the entire store with me trying to find the perfect keychain. I was blown away. Most other stores will just point you in the general direction, but not here. They also have a post office at this location. You can go in and buy your stamps and mail your packages. This is a huge Hallmark, probably one of the biggest I've been to. The card aisles were endless and I like that they carry some of Hallmarks smaller lines which have more modern cards than your standard Hallmark. When I was in all the employees were helping other customers, I over heard some of the conversation and the sales people were really trying to make sure each customer left with exactly what they needed even if it meant calling to order it. I did notice that this location has a USPS store in it. You could literally buy and mail your card in the same store. No more buying the card and forgetting to mail it out in time. I was specifically in to take a look at the Hallmark ornaments and surprisingly I thought their selection was a bit slacking there based on what I had seen on the website. Overall I would be back in if I was in North Raleigh and needed to pick up a card or a quick gift for someone. read more

My family and I enjoy frequenting this shop when we are in the area and always enjoy our experiences. The trinkets and gifts are very unique and we love their collection of nostalgic items. However, today I had a phone conversation with an employee that rubbed me the wrong way. I am a volunteer for a Raleigh private school attempting to obtain donations for a fundraiser. When I called Debby's, the employee on the phone rudely asked for my information and said something along the lines of, "If that's something they want to deal with I guess they'll call you back." This attitude was very off-putting and not only do I no longer wish to solicit donations, I am no longer interested in shopping at Debby's. I understand that employees may want to pass on information, but there is a way to ask for it and refer someone to a manager in a polite way. read more

This is a really nice Hallmark location. I stumbled upon it because I realized that they have a post office, and I frequently have to mail items. When I stepped in I realized they have a lot of unique as well as locally-made pieces that you won't find anywhere else. First time visiting this location and I must say it is HUGE! Walking up to the store they had several racks of Crocs and other assorted shoes and items that were marked down for clearance. I was immediately greeted by an associate who gave me a briefing of the store and offered her assistance. The associate was very knowledgeable and friendly and guided me exactly where I needed to go. The associate also offered to enroll me in their rewards program if I was interested. The facility also houses a post office which is convenient when purchasing cards especially. I always enjoy going into this hallmark. Everyone is very friendly, and they always ask to make sure you have your royalty card. You can find some great deals in the store. Keep an eye out for the sidewalk sale, up to 70% off of some random stuff. It helps to have the post office inside of here because it is usually less crowded than the one up the street. Rude weekend manager. I asked a simple question and she pushed me to the side. She was not professional.

My mother and I are longtime loyal customers of Hallmark stores but not after today. My mother attempted to shop here today but was run out of the store because she didn't have a mask. She is in her 70's and hasn't been getting out much but wanted to purchase a graduation card for her best friends grandson. The rules are different everywhere and change on a daily basis and she didn't notice a sign regarding masks. They told her she could buy one from them so she could shop. That's real ethical to one profit from someone who doesn't own a mask and two from the virus. It's bad enough this bs has been invoked on the American people but to make a elderly customer leave and have her say to me that she felt like they treated her like a criminal is ridiculous. This location will never get another penny from my family. Be careful how you treat others because you know what they say about karma. read more

Gosh, I shouldn't even be telling you about this -- it's going to ruin my little secret. Whenever I have to mail something, I head on down to Debby's on Falls of Neuse. It's 3 minutes from my house and they are an authorized USPS shipping facility. There is an actual Post Office on Falls of Neuse, a rather large one, but it's always a nightmare when I have to go there. But at Debby's, I rarely have to wait in a line and can get everything I'd ever need or want from a regular Post Office without the hassle. Once in a while, it goes unmanned for a couple minutes, but there's plenty to look at while you wait. The ladies are always friendly and the transactions quick. I've been there many times for shipping purposes, but only once as a Hallmark customer. They've got a huge selection of cards, (duh), and lots of other knick-knacks and gifts. Some of it is unique, but a lot of it I would say you could find elsewhere for less money. But they'll continue to get my business just for the sheer convenience of mailing packages. read more

I have been going to this Hallmark store for years and the service is top notch. When you walk in they ask you in a helping manner if you need any assistance, very low key and pleasant. Then if you do they help you, if you don't they leave you alone to wander through the store and check out the merchandise. This store is one in which you can find so many treasures from beautiful jewelry, fashionable coats, sweaters, socks, Vera Bradley purses. It is amazing the different items this store holds, the common denominator is great quality, cutting edge fashion, fair prices and excellent customer service. I know it sounds like it can't get any better, but my favorite part of this store is that they have a U S Post Office inside, where you can buy stamps, mail packages, and do all the Post Office things without the long waits and you are charged the same as at the traditional Post Offices. And employee John, usually found behind the counter at the Post Office there rocks. He is always professional, efficient, and so pleasant. I love this store. Yes, it's pricey. But some things are simply worth what you pay for them. For example, the Zum beauty products are little miracles in practical packages. The lip balm is the best I've tried, and the Zum Rub makes my skin angel-soft. And you're lying if you deny that the kid in you gets excited when they roll out the ornament wall. You know you press every button! Also, as it should, this Hallmark has an unmatched selection of greeting cards for every occasion, with a post office in the same store to mail them out, if necessary. 2 stars is generous. The place itself has nice things and that's the only reason I didn't give it one star. The people (especially one older lady) is awful to children! Every single time I've been there my well-behaved children get fussed at- every time! I can't imagine how she acts when a misbehaved child is there. Last week is the last time I will go there. If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is terrible and this has not changed over the years. I suspect management / owner is controlling and paranoid. Returns are a difficult process even though they say they accept returns. They choose not to honor Hallmark issued coupons as well as Hallmark issued rewards certificates. While there is much to choose from I personally find the store too cluttered. I'll spare the details of yesterday's incident but I will never shop at a DEBBY'S Hallmark again. This Hallmark store has a FedEx or UPS (can't remember) inside! How amazing is that? If you need to send a last minute gift this is the place to go. You could get a gift, a card, gift wrap and then mail it out all in one place. They also have a chocolates display and more clothing than your typical hallmark store. read more

I shop at this Hallmark all the time and am pretty much obsessed with it but am so very disappointed today... I walked up at 4:59 before a 5:00 close, and the two ladies closing the store were taking the outside displays down... I indicated that I just had a quick return, and the lady ignored me and just kept closing up and looking at me like she had run a marathon, was completely put out, and just could not help. This store has so many things to explore. We went four or five days before Christmas. I had been looking for a particular ornament for my hubby and had trouble finding it. They had it there. I was able to mail my package and get stamps to mail my Christmas cards. They have Vera Bradley items, Croc's, jewelry, chocolate and many other things.
