Fun! I kept hearing about this place and knew I was going to pass this one the other day. I left a little early and than got inside and wished I had left a lot earlier. I started at the books and immediately found a book I have been looking for, for $5.99 that I could not find for less then $15 even on the used sites. Sold! I found the iced coffee maker with the milk frother I have been looking for for $25. (It's $99 other places.) I did not have time to really go further, and almost got trapped in the clearance Halloween section before making it to checkout. If Ollie's has any flaws, other then it feeling like a thrift store, it would be that the carts can't go outside. Having to haul a large coffee maker box and my bag out to my car was a bit of a feat! Also the lady who checked me out seemed nice but was really put out when I asked for a membership card. I told her, if she didn't want to do it, I could see if I could do it online, but would like a physical card. She finally just signed me up. read more

Merchandise is jam packed in this store. Hilarious signs around the store. My favorite section is the book area. A great place to pick up childrens books. A lot of popular adult authors also. I enjoy a good trip to Ollie's. This one is not the best one I've been in as far as location and set up! You cannot beat the prices on children's books. They have great planters and outdoor items also. Sometimes you can get lucky and get really nice towels here. I am a stickler for textiles and they have to be natural fibers. So just check the labels if that's important to you. read more

It was my first time coming ! I'm amazed if you're homeschooling it's a great place to find curriculum or even gifts for others . A lot of brand name home goods for cheap I would say more affordable than Ross . Some things are about the same at the store but definitely good finds . I am definitely coming here again I am so excited . Also they were super busy since they have 15 percent off until June 30th but they were so professional ! I will admit that when you arrive you are greeted by the odor of a thrift store. I'm curious as to why this is so common for discount stores. They have great prices on vacuum and carpet cleaning machines, pool accessories and lawn care items. I purchased some Small Spaces Glade air fresheners for $1, a pool basketball hoop for $5 and household cleaning items. They have a rewards store card that provides discounts if you shop here often. read more

I visited Ollie's for the first time since my mother in law was raving about another location she had recently visited. If I had to describe Ollie's, I would say it's like Big Lots mixed with a side market mixed with Good Will. Everything is new, it's just messy inside and can be overwhelming. You can easily spend two hours here if you have the patience to look and go through everything. I was quite shocked by how great this place is! It's large with so much to look at! I was searching for art supplies for secret Santa and I kid you not!! I bought a water coloring pad, drawing pads, drawing pencils, water color pencils, and a journal ALL for under $20. I even found a Marvel Stephen King's The Dark Tower comic book for $4. Some stuff is trash but overall, there are a lot of amazing finds that are super discounted. Service was great and friendly but during the holiday season, it's very slow. I'm eager to come back and find new stuff! read more

Imagine a Walmart meets a flea market meets a dollar store and you've got Ollie's. The items they sell are brand new, there's tons of them and they're cheap. Cheap and inexpensive. The store feels like they have too much stuff but it is well organized if densely packed with just about everything from books to clothing to luggage to kitchenwares. It could use a good tidy but if you're looking for just about anything that you would expect to find at a Walmart, I would guess that you can find it here for less. I found a recently published book for less than half off the cover price and I did look at the luggage but didn't see anything I really needed right now. If you answered yes to these questions, you should do yourself a favor and head on over to Ollie's off Capital! They have so many hot deals like the examples provided. They have a conglomerate of all sorts of things. You can purchase anything from books to furniture to food to yard goods. This location is off capital blvd. They share a parking lot with other businesses so parking can vary based on the business of the others as well as Ollie's. The location is great and the customer service was perfect! Great way to take care of our needs Ollie's. Only draw back is the decor and ambiance... mannn they have so much stuff it reminds you of a second hand store (but of course everything is new). They did the best they could to organize it but its still an mess when you walk in (decor wise). read more

Very rude unprofessional unwelcoming staff. As we entered the store the rude clerk yelled out "hey you will you leave your bag here". She wanted my nephew to leave his pocketbook with his wallet and personal items. Why should he when I can bring my pocketbook!!! Racial profiling gender profiling ! Males and Asians use pocketbooks too. No apologies she defended her self to everyone saying I'm just doing my job- so where is the sign that says males cannot bring pocketbooks! It's been four years since my last review update. I tend to go to this location once every couple of months, so obviously there are reasons I return. In the last four years one area that has gone down in both quality and quality is the food area. Shelves are sparsely covered with merchandise. It is very advantageous to check expiration dates before purchasing any food. On my most recent visit there were a few foods items I thought about buying until I saw the expiration date was a few weeks away. Away from the food area, there are lots of unique items that if you have the time to explore you might find something at a bargain price. It has become my go to store for yearly boxes of Christmas cards and for inexpensive puzzle books that I get for an elderly person who loves them. Alas, as I let my bride talk me into some of these shopping experiences I sometimes have to remind myself, "if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!" Yes, it's cheap and yes it can be somewhat cluttered as people rifle through discounted merchandise. My bride loves the place, and I have no doubt she'd give it five stars. I liked the book section - especially the "dummy" section - I actually found "Forensic Accounting for Dummies" on the shelf! The rest of the store? I think I'd rather avoid it. read more

Here is a list of all the things I can remember seeing at Ollie's, the home of everything random yet useful: -"Wanted" special edition box set, as well as hundreds of DVDs -Every single "_______ for Dummies" book you could ever imagine, including 38 copies of "Catholicism for Dummies," as well as hundreds of other books -Scissors, tape, construction paper, and everything for scrapbooking -Michigan themed PopTarts (in North Carolina no less) -Giant ceramic planters -Golf balls and clubs -A kid-sized Broncos bike helmet -Tarps -Candy (namely Butterfinger Crunch bars, something I didn't think existed anymore) -Hair supplies (shampoo, hair ties, headbands, etc.) -Bookshelves and furniture -Oriental rugs -Video games from 2008 and PC games -Everything else you could ever imagine ever, all for a low, low price. I visited this store today. Store was dirty and cluttered. Manager was extremely lazy doing nothing while their was extremely long long lines and only 1 cashier working. She could've helped out by opening a register. She was extremely rude to people coming in. read more

My wife and I went here and thought it was crazy! They have crazy signs all over the place that make you laugh and theres no reason or rhyme to the way the place is setup. The prices are better than big lots in my opinion and they have better quality items than big lots as well. They also offer you a free cup of coffee for you to drink as you walk around and see what they have. As another reviewer said they do have a sign that says"once its gone its gone" Thats the reality of all outlet stores though. At Ollies though the prices are cheap enough though that it wont hurt to go ahead and get it. read more
