I was really shocked when I saw all of the negative reviews for this doctor. She has been treating members of my family for years. She is extremely patient and caring and never rushes an appointment no matter how many people are in the waiting room. She personally calls with test results. Overall 4/5 Dr Friedlander is amazing and really listens to your needs. Overall, awesome!!! I'd recommend her to anyone. The only thing keeping it from a 5/5 is the wait time, however, the receptionists always works with me. I'll go shopping, grab food or coffee, and they will call me when it's almost my turn. read more

I went in for a routine physical which is 100% covered by my insurance even if my deductible hasn't been met. After waiting around for an hour and a half, they told me I had to pay them $200 or not be seen. I tried to explain that the general wellness visits are covered, but they refused to call my insurance to confirm. They tried to explain to me the concept of a deductible like I'm an idiot. And they were very rude, telling me that I needed to have my insurance call them to do that--something I've never had to do before. The woman at the front desk said she had to go talk to the person who knows about the insurance, who was just in the next room. I heard them talking. Then, when I asked to speak with the insurance person, she said I couldn't because she was on the phone. Only one minute later, while the people in the other room were still discussing my situation, I asked again if I could speak to the person who handles the insurance and she just said "no," then I asked why not and she said she was at lunch. So she was lying to me on top of being very rude, and wasting an hour and a half of my time to make me wait in the office and not be seen because nobody there bothered to verify my coverage beforehand like they are supposed to, and have at every other general wellness visit I've had at other providers. Also, waiting an hour and a half for your appt is apparently normal there. My husband said the same thing happened to his father. read more

Showed up to my appointment scheduled for 10:30 to learn from very rude reception that "first of all, the Dr is not even in yet". I arrived 8 minutes early to adhere to Covid requirements. The she proceeded to inform me that there would be 5 other patients to be seen before me. She did offer me the option of going for coffee and come back in an hour; or I could just sit and wait a couple of hours. I chose to leave and will never go back. read more

Worst Doctor Ever: Don't bother calling this women, its crazy that she even passed her boards. She does not care about her patients well being. She refused to help with further care for a family member of mine, and told us that she "doesn't do things like this", screamed at our elderly relative, and told us she gave up. Only go to this horrible human being if you want to die quick, she will be happy to do whatever she can to kill you as fast as possible. read more

Visited office today, 1-22-20. Appointment was made in early Dec 2019. Apparently, ,scheduling appointments doesn't coincide with doctor's time allocated with patients. My wife a I had a 10:15 and 10:45 appointment respectively. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the Doctor. My wife sitting on her wheelchair with no one caring about her discomfort. Office staff,while sympathetic accepts this as an every day occurrence . Sad way to manage an office . We left before seeing the Doctor . Deborah Friedlander should retire immediately. She has lost her empathy and her professionalism. She asked me amount of medication my mother was on and was forced to look at her chart when I wasn't sure of the dose. Last time I looked she was the doctor who prescribed the medications and has a record of that. She didn't look at my mother or address any questions to her. She was insulting and acted like she could careless. I understand that working with the elderly is challenging but I have never experienced something like this before and she said without even taking the time to listen she barked "it's all in your head". The 2 minutes she was in the room asking questions she then stormed out "saying I'm not going to argue with you" and slammed the door. There was certainly no arguing and my mother was simply going to explain herself and ask a question. I am really beyond upset by the disrespectful behavior. This woman should be ashamed to say she is a doctor. She is disorganized and absolutely a mess. I don't recommend her to anyone! Beware as she calls herself a generic doctor! read more

I'm sorry to say but she is a terrible Doctor, I have never written a negative review of a doctor before -- Stay away! She's indifferent, un-engaged and does not even return urgent calls from patients. Often she's just plane rude. My 80 year old mother's previous doctor retired and my mom has been Dr. Friedlander's patient for about a year, and now she needs to search for a new primary doctor. We all deserve better care than she provides, Friedlander works for the large for profit company, Tenet Health, that owns Delray Medical Center. Unfortunately Dr, Friedlander is the worst example of a big corporate doctor "employee". I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Friedlander's for several years. I have always found her to be incredibly knowledgeable and smart, and has always been compassionate and concerned. In my opinion, she is not only a good doctor, but an exceptional doctor. And her office staff has always been friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is that I have had some problems with Tenet's billing - but the office staff has always been helpful in resolving them. read more

Dr. Friedlander is an experienced proficient physician who clearly practices with ethics and obvious knowledge. However, what I like most is her kindness and commitment to her patients. I feel she advocates for me on all levels of my care, from physical to emotional to my career. I trust her completely, I know she has my best interest at heart.
