The lady at the desk told us we did not owe the whole amount our insurance had paid us. My wife asked this woman many times if she was sure. We let the money sit in our bank account just in case: $1789.20, to be exact. Fast forward 3 months to January 2025, we get a letter from our insurance saying they overpaid us by $1789.20, and we also started getting calls from Joe Hudson that we owe them $1,789.20, surprise, surprise!! So know we have two sides of this saying we owe them money. We told Joe Hudson that we would need to clear this up with the insurance first, the overpayment letter, and then we would pay them. We aren't going to pay both sides. 2 days later, we get things cleared up with the insurance. On that same day, we get threatening phone calls from the Joe Hudson regional manager, Wilson Gardner, saying he's going to send us to collections if it's not paid that day. My wife tried speaking with him, so that he knew the whole situation but he just wanted to be an asshole the whole time and accuse her of trying to withhold money that we owed them. We tried to pay the whole bill at vehicle pick up, as I stated earlier. It's not our job to keep calling and asking if you want the money yet. Because of Wilson's actions, we will most definitely not return to this shop or recommend it to anyone. The bill was paid in full on the day we cleared up the overpayment letter from the insurance.

I was immediately helped and given a set date when the car would be ready, which is incredibly helpful with a busy schedule. Though the car was finished one day late, I was informed ahead of time. Great communication. I had an additional problem with the car (was not caused by the accident, and not their fault) and took it back in for a re-evaluation. They promptly took the car back to look at it, and fully explained to me (and showed me) the problem going on, and some courses of action at no extra cost. In my eyes, they are an outstanding team. The quality of the work was borderline immaculate. The fender assembly is all fixed up/replaced and the paint blending was far better than I thought it would turn out. It makes sense why Advanced Collision has grown so large. The school (MSU) does bring in more business, but their customer service and care for their job really sets them apart from the rest of the auto repair world.

And that was after leaving multiple messages without receiving a call back. Once I had made my appointment, a conflict in my schedule came up and I needed to move the appointment to the following week. Once again, I could not reach them by phone so I had to drive half an hour to go speak to someone in person and rescheduled the appointment to the following Friday. When I arrived for my appointment which was 30 minutes after the time the shop is supposed to be open, I pulled into the empty parking lot and saw no one there and all of their bay doors were closed. The main entrance was locked and I even knocked on the off chance that someone was there. I waited for another 15 minutes before leaving and taking my business elsewhere. It is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable as a business to 1. Not answer the phone or return calls. 2. Ghost your customer at a scheduled appointment date/time. While I can't speak to the quality of their work/product, I can wholeheartedly say that I would not recommend this company as the customer service side of the business is nonexistent.
