If I could give this place -10 stars, I would. Do not I repeat do not get the membership service here. It doesn't work and it's a complete scam. Towards the end of the summer, I contracted Covid, which made me super sick and then turned into pneumonia. I explained this to the center on numerous occasions that I was too sick to continue the diet regimen. They agreed to put my account on hold until I could come in and cancel. I explained that I was too sick to come in and I have to travel over an hour for service. I was told that someone would follow up with me but the follow-up call never happened. I then received another call to schedule another follow up appointment and I explained my situation again. I was then told that I could only come in when a manager was present to cancel my membership. I then showed up only to fine out that the manager wasn't present and that my membership would have to continue for another month. After seeing these reviews I can't believe this company is even still in business. I will tell every and anyone who wants to listen to now come to this establishment. read more

This place has helped me lose weight years ago. I just recently gained some weight so I decided I will go here to help me with my weight loss journey. PROS: You will lose weight The supplements suppress your appetite They give you a sample meal plan that works The staff is friendly The place looks very nice inside CONS: 1 to 2 hour wait, regardless of its a weekday, weekend and if you set an appointment The receptionist have extended conversations with customers which holds up the line The prices seem to change every time I go Overall this place is good. It's a no for me. This place is dirty: appointment room floors have dirt marks, the chairs appointment rooms arms are so worn down and dirty, the bed I was sitting on had juice stains and hair all over as if it needed to be washed. The waiting room lobby's chairs are from when I used to go there in 2014. I was so low sitting to the ground. The staff does not wear scrubs (in a medical setting). I had an appointment and walked out I was so disgusted. This establishment is getting by far too much money to be so filthy and run down. I don't think a medical setting should smell like plug in fragrances, like their trying to cover up the weird smells in there. I'm glad I stuck with my gut and walked out. I scheduled an appointment for myself and my husband. The girl on the phone asked for our information, I was a returning customer. My husband was a new patient. She scheduled us for 11:30 then when we got there, we sat there for about 20 minutes then a young lady comes out and says, we don't see new or returning patients after 11:00. I said wait, we didn't walk in. We were scheduled. Why would someone schedule us knowing this? She just looked at me and said, yeah well they're not going to see you. We can reschedule both of you. Decalo has been great! I'm surprised by the negative reviews as i have never had a negative experience with them. I've never had to wait long (as other reviews mention). And the staff is nothing but kind and positive. I think the people experiencing the long waits are walk-ins, or people who need to see the Dr (I've never been a walk-in, nor have I needed to see the Dr after my initial visit). This place is terrible! You wait 3 hours to be seen and then you can't even get them to do a prior authorization. It's been a week and I still can't get my meds because they can't fax a simple paper. I stand by my review Yvonne, I am a former long term patient and every instance I mentioned was reported. Goes to show ya how well you know your patients. Your physician left an acupuncture needle in me! You hand out opiates like candy for money. The mix of the pain patients and the WeightLoss patients is not fabulous. I was a patient and had not returned in about 9 months. I went early one morning and waited in what was formerly the waiting room. About 1/2 hr later I was told to wait in another room. For another hr, I watched patients come and go... When I inquired to the receptionist as to where I was on the list , she replied" we have changed our walk in policy since you were last here, walk in are seen last". Part 2 I began my journey with Decalo January 2017. I must admit there were some initial concerns in the beginning, wait time, professionalism and friendliness of some of the staff, cleanliness of the environment, difference in pricing, overall organization of the office and inconsistent charges on my credit card. I decided to set all these things aside and put forth an effort to change the environment I walked into by managing expectations better and ensuring that when I phoned, I was overly pleasant no matter what their voice sounded like when they answered and I began to speak to everyone when I entered the office, office staff and clients. I also began to observe how the office staff really tried to accommodate everyone. They work long hours and they allow walk-ins and I have no idea what there office volume is on a day to day basis, this does make a difference and no it does not excuse lack of professionalism or lack of organization, it did help me to be more mindful of my time and planning. I do not believe that I am a favorite patient at all. I do show up when I say I am going to and I also try my best to call when I cannot make it. I began asking additional questions and it made a difference to me. With the exception of 1 time I have never waited more than 20 minutes to be seen and I am generally in and out within 30 minutes. Now on to the good part. My initial goal was sleep and increase in energy so I could begin to incorporate working out back into my schedule. I had an initial consultation and I was honest with my answers... Bread was my weakness and I cut it out cold turkey! I was given a meal plan with a suggested exercise regimen. I took the prescribed meds, increased my water intake, cut the bread, cut alcohol and all dairy and DID NOT work out for the first 4 weeks. I followed that meal plan to the letter. I wanted to really see what changing my eating would do. My stomach shrunk, I was sleeping at night and I lost my first 10lbs! I stuck to the meal plan, meds, water no alcohol and I began to work out, I had so much energy it was crazy! By April 2017, I dropped 20lbs and I felt FABULOUS! I now sleep 8 to 10 hours a night! I have my energy and focus back! I have changed my entire lifestyle with the help of Decalo, I have maintained my healthy habits for over a year now. In my humblest opinion, it was a change in mindset for me. I eat to live, I do not live to eat... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE food and since I travel often, I want to try everything! I do not eat any processed foods and I still indulge within reason. I have learned so much during my short time as a member of Decalo, I've learned from many of the patients at Declao, friends, family and strangers and that is time management seems to be a thorn for lots of us, I have learned that a healthy lifestyle must become a part of your daily environment and routine, I've learned the importance of a support system when it comes to making lifestyle decisions, I have also learned that until you change your mindset, you will always wake in the same state. When your mindset changes your life changes. I lost over 60lbs with Decalo Weight Loss! They have everything you need to help assist with your weight loss goals. Decalo takes pride in their work with their patients and they are also great with rewarding them for doing a great job in their weight loss journey. For example, Decalo and Glynn Jackson gifted me with a photo shoot, I got to do an infomercial for Decalo and walk the runway at Glynn Jacksons Golden Scissors Awards. But the best thing I love from all of that was ending up in an ad on the Metro buses and Metrorail. I have inspired so many people to want to lose weight and live healthier lives. Dr. Aziz and his medical staff are AWESOME! They are very knowledgeable about their products and you can tell they care about you as well. I love Decalo and I highly recommend them to anyone. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The medication they prescribe works effectively with the exercise plan but that's where the positives end. I started here 5 yeArs ago when Dr.Aziz and Ms.Kathy were there. Back then they actually cared about the patients and were informative and engaged with the program. Now they have a so called new "doctor" I doubt she's actually a real MD who has a nasty attitude, is dismissive and you can only see her "by appointment " (outside of the regular appointment ) you'll also be charged extra. If you're having issues with the meds and want to switch you're charged a separate office visit and you have to see the so called doctor to do that. The front desk receptionist is nice but can get quite chatty with the patients which holds up the checkout process. They also have favoritism to their clients based on personal relationships obviously. They overbook horribly and you'll wait at least an hour outside of your scheduled appointment time to be seen, you're then rushed through. The techs are unprofessional and the manager is even worse. Decalo is more concerned with pushing their additional products to make more money. I definitely won't be returning . read more

When I first started the weight loss program at Decalo, I took the orientation class and learned how to eat, how to exercise, and how to lose my weight once and for all. I have been overweight most of my life and have finally been able to lose the weight and keep it off. I get the injections and medications once a week and the individualized help has help me so much in adjusting my lifestyle. The staff is super friendly and are always willing to guide my program. They spent more time talking about who they want to see later that night or dating & texting then attending to there clients. EVERY time I've gone in for an appt they have been short staffed or barely staffed at all. For this facility to have been highly recommended for there results it would be hard pressed to believe it from the young staff who don't appear to know much of anything! I'll NEVER go back!!
