I'm not sure if this is the name of current restaurant, but it's located where the Decanter Lounge used to be. The pizza here is phenomenal!! I got a 6" personal pan pizza. It didn't take long at all to get it once I ordered. My co-worker got the Bo Daddy pizza and it was also delicious! The inside is kinda small so there is not a ton of seating, but they do have a bar you can sit at. They will also have outside seating when it warms up. Definitely a place to try! read more

The Decanter lounge has been renamed Shotty's Taps. I had an awesome time during my last visit, enjoying the most delicious pizza and cheesy French bread. Big shout out to the staff and the owner who were very friendly and attentive. We are looking forward to going back again. read more

We came here for their anniversary night awhile back. It was our first time and it was super busy! The place was beautiful and had a very warm feel. Lots of cozy looking sofa chairs to sit on. They had non-alcoholic options for me which was nice. We got a charcuterie board and the focaccia bread. Everything was delicious. The focaccia bread is as big as a pizza so we had plenty to take home. We definitely plan to visit again with some friends. It's a great place to catch up with people and get some good eats and a drink. read more

Went here on a Saturday night. The place was empty but I think that's expected as the place is new. As we entered the place smelled like incense which is not my fave lol. As we walked inside it was nice to see a comfy and nice setup. There's benches, pillows and nice lounge expensive looking love seats which were really comfortable. The tables were beautiful too, made out of hard wood. There was music playing and the music playlist was nice, it was jazz. It was a bit loud so it was hard to listen among each others. The wine list was limited which again makes sense because it is a new place. We had the 2019 AXR Napa Valley Chardonnay. The Chardonnay was delicious, well balanced, fruity and refreshing. The glass was $12 or you could get the bottle for $36. We also ordered a charcuterie board which consisted of prosciutto, salami, cold meat that we didn't like because it was cold and fatty but it did have a nice spicy kick to it, 5 different cheeses (Asiago, Brie, cheddar & pepper jack), grapes, walnuts, crackers, jam and honey. That was $50.00. We also ordered water, which it was bottled (Evian) at $4.00 each bottle. While we were there we also played pool in the cozy room they have in there. The lounge is so beautiful and the ambiance is so rich. My friend and I went on a Tuesday night (which is apparently singles night!) and we ordered a glass of wine and a charcuterie board. The plush leather sofa chairs made me feel so sophisticated and really contributed a lot to the overall experience. The food was delicious and filling (though I do wish I had asked for more crackers) I really enjoyed the wine cheese and my favorite cold meat was the cut pictured on the far right (I can't remember what it was called). At the end of the night, the owner made my friend and I a free shot he called a Black Russian. Let me tell you, I have day dreamt about that drink ever since and I'd go back just for that shot every day if I could! The owner was such a great guy and provided such excellent service. I can't wait to go back and try the wine cheese pizza he recommended when I told him my favorite cheese was the wine cheese! Food and wine were excellent. Will come here again ! Had shrimp cocktails, homemade hummus and lasagna. It was wonderful!

We were headed somewhere else tonight but decided to try Decanter. So glad we did! Nice tables to sit at and couches with tables but we chose to sit at the bar. Pizza was delicious! Calzone looked amazing! Totally ordering that next time and the glass-top charcuterie! Also saw the salmon appetizer; it looked good and the guy that ordered it seemed happy with it. As I said, we sat at the bar, George was very personable, glad we decided to sit at the bar and could engage with him! Yes, it's a little pricey but IMO it was worth it and SO NICE to have new place in town with good food and nice atmosphere. Oh yeah, nice artwork from local artists for sale too! read more

In response to Shawn J. Imperial Beach, CA untruthful account of events & poor review. I was with several other customers sitting front row at the bar when we all witnessed your 100% grotesque and rude behavior. It was absolutely disgusting and quite frankly shameful. You could have handled the situation in a more delicate, professional, and respectful manner. Instead you chose to be extremely disrespectful towards the owner (cursing at him and having an over dramatic tantrum) while making other customers uncomfortable but laughing at you make a total ridiculous spectacle out of yourself. It seems you only had intent to bring harm. Disgusting! The owner was trying to extend accommodations to you in every way possible but YOU were insistent on acting like a 3 year old having a tantrum and making sure every other patron witnessed your disgusting behavior as you ranted on. You're lucky I wasn't the owner/bar tender or behind the bar serving you. The second you started cussing at me like an absolute FOOL and disrespecting me, you would have been tossed out. You, Sir, are the reason restaurant owners are entitled to hang "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" signs in their establishment. Maybe consider not going out in public if you can't be a respectable human. After owner had enough of your blatant disrespect and asked you to leave (completely warranted), I witnessed 4 other customers feel entirely blessed and rave about his authentically delicious lasagna. read more

I read the high ratings and reviews, so I thought I'd give this place a try while working out of town in Ridgecrest. I am not a big wine drinker, so I ordered a beer, and they were out of my first two selections listed on the menu. The beer selection was nothing special composed of mass produced beers, which I guess can be expected being a wine bar. I ordered the lasagna. A Yelp reviewer remarked how good it was, and the menu made it sound like I was in for an amazing culinary experience. The owner proceeded to cut out a piece of lasagne from a tin tray (presumably previously frozen) and put it in a pizza oven to reheat. He then served it to me on a tiny paper plate barely big enough to fit the lasagne itself. It was hard, burnt and crusty to the point where I couldn't even cut through it. I wasn't about to pay $25 for a burnt and crusty reheated lasagna. I barely took two bites, before I told the owner about his crusty and disgusting lasagne. First he said I didn't have to pay for it. But I guess he couldn't handle the honest though harsh criticism, because within a few minutes he was barking at me and telling me to go back to where I came from. For the record, this is the first time I've EVER returned food--congratulations Decanter Lounge. Anyways, if you like cheesy adult contemporary blues and jazz background music mixed with Orange County house wife decor, and overpriced reheated food this might be the place for you. read more
