Lived up to my craving! I moved to Vegas 2 yrs ago and since I left, I've been craving the Patriot dip sandwich. I've been back for about 8 months and FINALLY got to have it today. Let's just say I felt like I was in heaven when I tasted the first bite. Thus sandwich is so perfectly balanced, with the meat and cheese, and the absolutely delicious au juis. I couldn't get enough! I the bread is perfectly crunchy yet soft and subtle, and the cruch helps hold the au juis in so well adding a fusion of flavor from the broth. The sandwich is $20 but I spent almost $40 to travel from inyokern to pick it up...., WELL worth it! Great job! Forgot to mention, it was gone before I hit Jacks Ranch otw home. read more

We picked this place on the way back home from Death Valley as we were starving! It seemed like a fun bar but we were there to eat! The food was pretty good albeit kinda smallish portions. Does not look like much from the street, but it is definitely a spot where the locals go, and the food is excellent! I started with a rattlesnake Margarita... Delicious. I ordered the bacon and blue burger... One of the best burgers I ever ate, with fig jam, and balsamic caramelized onions. Burgers don't come with a side, but I ordered sweet potato fries, and they were delicious and came with a side of homemade ranch. There was only one waitress working the room... She was making drinks, taking orders and serving the food. She did it all with an apology if there was too much time and a smile. She was great! read more

We stopped by here for dinner after a long day in the road. We wanted to watch the soccer game and it was a great place to do both. The food was really delicious and the servers were really great. Where has this place been hiding for all my visits to Ridgecrest! Hubby (who grew up in RC) said that the town has long been needing this kind of place. It was a bowling alley once upon a time but it doesn't feel like the bar and restaurant were shoehorned it. It's a good flow from the bar to the tables with the pool area off to the side. The large open area was being used for a cornhole competition and there were high top tables around the edges for people to cheer on their teams. We did park in the back and walked all the way around to the front that faces the road to Trona. That one enters into the bar and Doja the Hostess with the Mostest came over to let me pet and adore her. Hubby & I walked up to the sign that said Stop Here and we did. I wish I could remember her name...but she was our server. She gave us a choice of places to sit and took our drink orders. Hubby had two Jack Sours which he enjoyed a lot. I had water...I had to drive us back to the Best Western. First - server took great care of us. She stopped by regularly but didn't hover to see if we needed anything. Second - food came out quickly and was so good. I had the grilled steak salad and they used a lovely mix of greens that were fresh. And the tomatoes were ripe. The grilled steak was perfectly medium rare, had a nice smoke ring, and solid beef flavor. Hubby had the French Dip and intended on only eating half but it was so good, he finished it. (note, the only green thing on that plate was the pickle and no fries or anything. And that's ok. The price was very affordable for all that delicious rib eye.) Third - I found the people there to be kind, polite, and fun. There were a lot of families and they were having a nice time as well. I would NOT have brought my kids had I known. so many dog breeds! why do you pick the one at the top of the bite list? do you have insurance? all around, we are never going back. management did nothing for our bill. The food is hit and miss. The menu is fairly expensive in that all dishes are sold à la carte. You have to order any sides separately and each of them are $8. A $30 ribeye turns in to a $46 dinner with two sides. You add an additional $12 for a house salad. The entire meal now costs $58 without drinks. At the end of the day, the Patriot is fairly expensive for mediocre food. I would not recommend the Patriot as a family dining experience, it's just too expensive. read more

The owner was very weird and aggressive. He switched the half time show to the other show which is whatever, it's your bar I don't agree with it but he does have the right to do so. But he does not have the right to be up in people's faces (intoxicated by the way) being the aggressor when all the table in front of us did was ask to turn on one TV to the actual half time performance. Don't know what the owner is going through to have so much anger and hate in his heart but I genuinely hope he heals from whatever it is he's going through because watching him act like a little baby in people's faces was embarrassing and sad to see. We did not dine here so I won't leave a review on the food but we attended a concert here and in my whole adult life I have never had a worse experience. I had to bus my own table and get my own drinks after paying over $800 for a VIP table and cocktail service. They sold me a VIP TABLE and then had people STANDING IN FRONT OF US for the whole 45 minutes of a bullshit concert! The sound was absolutely terrible and after 1 song the band got off stage because the feedback was so bad. I cannot fathom charging that money and not providing and actual show and service! Full disclosure: I work here on weekends as a doorman and bar-back. That being said, you can take my review at face value. The food here is easily better than any other bar around that serves food.They're brand new and still working out the kinks as far as what hours they want to the kitchen open, what specials they want to serve, etc. This establishment is a bar first and foremost but their selection of food is great. The burgers are made with brioche buns, the steak is well cooked, and the stuffed baked potatoes are to die for. Personally, I substitute their waffle cut fries for the loaded potatoes. The kitchen doesn't have a problem with substitutions like that which makes it great in my book. The owner of the bar (Tom) is friendly and straight to the point. He is a veteran who loves this country and he's not afraid to speak his mind. He will talk with you and make sure you enjoy your visit here. From the exterior of the bar, it looked closed but once I found the correct door (facing the main street versus the rear / side parking lot) it ended up being a very nice establishment and had a good vibe about the place! Family friendly * My family and I were looking for a burger before we headed out to the pinnacles to camp. We were greeted by the owner and he explained how they prepared their burgers. Only 3 stars because Day 1. Pulled pork sliders on point. The servers are kinda slow and tend to pay more attention to the locals but we got what we came for. We also tip very generously. Day 2. Regular food menu not available, just some short very specific menu. The attitude from the staff in general was 180 out from the first day. A month has passed and I've returned with my family this time. We had a good time watching all the TV screens playing different channels, with different genres of music playing from Country musc, Old school Rock 'n' Roll, to Tejano music in Spanish. It's racially diverse there, and everyone feels welcome there. It's the most civilized bar I've been to. Everyone is friendly, a family of out of towners were there. They have thee crispiest onion rings in town and I wanted to go into the kitchen to thank the chef. I wanted to introduce my son to the veteran owner because he is an American hero; but he wasn't there tonight. Me and a coworker were in town to do some work on base. We had never been here before so we thought we'd try something new...and we wish we hadn't. The service was horrible, the owner of the place was sitting at the bar getting trashed and to top it off, me and my coworker both got food poisoning.
