In January of 2026, Deck Master began building the first of three projects: our screened porch, which to call a mere "screened porch" seems like a gross injustice. This became a cathedral-like space on an elevated Trex deck with soaring asymmetrical ceilings (designed by a wonderful architectural engineer Lou recommended). The entire structure was supported by massive 6" x 6" cedar-clad posts framing a 180° view of a subtropical paradise. Every morning, six days a week, Andre and Timmy would show up with Lou and begin working tirelessly to get the job done. They worked through the coldest days imaginable and hardly ever stopped to take a break. Their focus and professionalism were incredible. When the screened porch was nearly done, we asked them to take a look at our front and back decks, which desperately needed to be replaced. Even though we had not originally contracted them to rebuild the decks for us, they agreed to fit the additional work into their busy schedules. Lou brought in reinforcements to make sure the work could be finished before Andre had to leave for a very important family commitment. To say that I would recommend Deck Master Company is an understatement because I don't think there is another company in the world that could have done what they did. Last year we contracted Deck master to repair an outdoor deck and refinish the deck as well. We spent approx. $7,000 to have the work done. The repair did not last one season. When I called them to make good on the repair they wanted $2200 to repair the deck instead of making good on their workmanship. They used skinny brad nails and glue instead of using SS screws to hold this OUTDOOR mahogany deck down. They barely sanded one layer and the finish came out dark and light all over the deck. We are in a 5 floor walkup in the east village of manhattan, and they carried all the wood up over 4 days, and built the deck in 4 more days. We did have to wait a month for the work, because of their busy schedule. They gave us a range of dates and stuck to it. Rain is an issue with all outdoor work. 100% happy with the work. I contracted Deck Master May of 2014 to build us a new deck. I noticed after the winter of 2021, the railing coming down from the deck , came apart from the post at the bottom. I contacted Deck Master & was told that Edgar would call me back. Edgar showed up to take a look at the problem. Told me he would be back with the week to fix the railing. I was not home when Edgar came to repair the railing. I received a text from Edgar that the railing was all fixed. When I asked what I owed , He said no charge. Now that's as good as it gets. DeckMaster Just Great My Wife and we're very fortunate to find "Deckmaster." Let me begin by saying that we contacting three deck building services. The first service we contacted gave us a quote that seemed for our twelve by eight deck way too high for both wood and Trex. The second service failed to even show up to give us a quote after promising more than once to show up to evaluate the job and provide us with a quote. We then contacted Deckmaster and not only did they show up when scheduled, they gave us a great quote for both wood and Trex with PVC railings and to take down our old deck. We decided to go with the Trex (Top of the line grade) with new posts because there wasn't much of a difference in price. I gotta say I was impressed by their promptness as they showed up on the dates and times agreed upon and by George they finished the job as stipulated within a week! In closing, my Wife and I were very impressed with Deckmaster's professionalism and the quality of their work! Suffice to say that we are more than happy with our deck! The corner section of my fence got blown out in the last storm with severe winds - it was loose because of work I had done at the base that I never finished. Lou returned my call very quickly and had his guys out to my house right away. They did the work quickly and cleaned up any mess. Instead of charging me to replace the entire post, they did an excellent job of repairing the damage and they saved me a ton of money! I highly recommend Lou and his team from Deck Master. Deckmaster built my deck in late August and I am very happy. I needed it for my above ground pool. It gave my pool such an upgraded look. I originally had chosen a different Trex color, but it was backordered until September. Lou was considered enough to call me up and suggested another color that was similar and newer. I love it more than the original color. I also had pvc cocktail railings and fencing. The combination is just beautiful. The material they use is top quality. Walked off the job after starting the tear-down of our deck. They simply texted their departure, never called to discuss. Complained about about lack of space to work when this was pointed out to them at the bid and additional space was provided when they started. Took weeks to get deposit back but, damage done.
