These types of shops are generally a little higher priced due to the overhead and commissions the buildings owners charge for the display space but I'd expect there's still a little room to negotiate a better deal, I always try and bring enough cash to cover anything I may want to purchase while antiquing, I've found cash is still king in this arena and I always offer an out the door price which includes any taxes I leave it up to them to figure that out so flash the cash when you are serious about the purchase and close the deal as fast as possible. This place is definitely worth the time it takes to checkout the inventory, I'd say Crossroad Trading turns over its inventory and has new items arriving daily, remember this is a business unlike the mom and pop shops that are more of a passion for the proprietor to collect than anything else, if it's displayed here they want to move it there's not any kind of attachment to anything here and if they say there is I'd call BS...

Of course we had a younger audience which was a bit rambunctious but not too loud or disturbing. As soon as we were all in place, this lady came from out of no where and yelled at us telling us to get out of the alley way, the thing is she also yelled at us the adults. We did not appreciate the way she had handled the situation. She could have kindly asked us to step out of the alley way. Henceforth we did not bother to shop in her store. Bad costumer service and we didn't even have to shop.

The vendors change their stock regularly and there are always a few booths that have sales running anywhere from 15-30% which is appreciated. I have found some real gems here and rarely do I leave without picking up something at a bargain price. The staff is always kind and accommodating. The people there have always been really nice, and I've never had a bad service experience. I'd say a lot of what they sell is worth the money, but true antique/vintage things like what they sell are not always going to be "cheap". Although, I have found many great items selling for low prices! I love to come in here with my best friend after we go out to breakfast somewhere in town, and it's definitely a true antique store with authentic antique items!! While I was there, I was able to meet one of the owners and their children who run the place. They were very nice and I told them how great it was to see the library repurposed in such a manner. We discussed the new shop and how they plan to get involved in the community, which I think is fantastic. They also introduced me to their pets. They have a big German Shepard, a Sulcata Tortoise, and an iguana. It's like a small zoo and antique store, two of my favorite things! Ha. The selection here is too notch. Everything is interesting, reasonably priced, and clean. I was able to find a small bag full of items and I could have found more if I wasn't rushed to get home. I plan on coming back when I am back in town visiting family and I really hope they do well. This town owes the new business owners for saving the old library and bringing a wonderful new shop to our little community.
