The only thing good I can say about this place is the furniture is great. The mattress we got with our bed set not so much. It was supposed to be firm after a week started sagging. Paid $200 for delivery and setup they scratched our front door up and didn't even have all the parts to set our bed up had to wait for someone from the store to bring something so they could finish setting it up. Now for the kicker. We order alot from this place we got a beautiful bed set with 2 bed side tables and a chest of drawers. None of which was in stock. Was told we could get the bed and one side table within the following week but the chest of drawers and other side table would be 2-3 weeks out because of the Thanksgiving holiday things would be a little behind. Understandable, here we are a month and a half later and still have not got our items we have paid for. Never heard from the company. Finally called Friday after Christmas to check and see to be told we will get a call the following Monday. Yesterday get a call saying they miss quoted us on the time frame it is going to be ANOTHER 3-4 weeks before we get it. That will be 2 1/2 months waiting on our products that we had already paid for. I feel it was never ordered to begin with and the fact there was no communication about our products is not ok. We were told if we didn't want to wait we could take the floor model. We spent a lot of money at this store because we had a brand new 3 bedroom home to fill. We paid for new not floor models. Also was initially told that if we wanted our other products to be delivered it would be an additional fee to have that done when they came in. I would never go back to this store. Very disappointed with the time it took for my furniture to get in. While Covid-19 has created some shipping delays, a 1-2 week promise (which was given 3 months after Covid started) turned into 3 months. When I called after 2 weeks, 5/6 pieces of my furniture had come in, but not the last item. I was told to wait. After 2 more weeks passed, I was told it would be at least a month before it all arrived. Instead of offering a discount or even just to deliver the initial items, I had to ask if I could get my items since I had no furniture in my house and was living out of boxes. After 2 months had passed, I had to call again (since no calls were ever made to me to update me) and they told me it would be another month. Once the furniture came in, they told me I could come pick it up or wait another 2 weeks to get the items delivered (which I paid for delivery up front). While I could pick up earlier, I didn't appreciate that they didn't rush the items to me. IF this was a normal thing (saying everyone was delayed so no one can be brought to the front of the line), then they should warn people it can take months to get furniture in. I am disappointed that I didn't go with another company who could have delivered furniture day of for more money. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because the price was definitely cheaper than other places. I wished I had known before buying something so important that the time would be an issue--which seems to be a trend given other yelp reviews. read more

absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was told that my couch was going to be delivered on three different days, finally two months after they told me it would be delivered it came in. The two delivery guys broke multiple items in my house and left numerous fingerprints all over the furniture. Had to ask them to wash their hands before touching my thing I was told by the delivery drivers that they were going to let the boss know that they had broke things in my house hold . After never hearing anything from anyone's manager I finally called up to the store to be accused of lying about what had happened. FMO SAVED us!!! We have been without a couch for almost 2 months. After having a horrible experience with another company that begins with A and ends with shley, we ended up canceling our order but still desperately needed a couch. We not only found a perfect couch at FMO but it was priced better than our previous order, they were able to deliver it the very next day! Not sure why there's so many negative reviews, I absolutely loved this place and customer service. Betsy (I think her name was, I'm horrible with names) was very friendly and attentive. Another employee was so kind giving us the measurements of the couches we were looking at, she took the time to pull it up on her work inventory phone. Hands down great customer service. We still have to see if the couches we picked out will fit but will definitely be back for one of them. Oh also this was 30 minutes before they closed and they welcomed us in. Great place! I have been purchasing furniture from this store for years. I have never had an issue with them until recently. I purchased a couch in 2018 and the cushions are starting to tear and wear out. Thankfully I bought the warranty! Unfortunately, I lost my receipt from my purchase in 2018 and couldn't process a claim without my invoice. When I called the store last week, the person I spoke with was helpful and willingly to look for my invoice. Note that they don't have a computer system to easily look for this. She was unable to locate my ticket in the month I thought I purchased it, but said she would look through the previous month for me. I called back the next day after not hearing back from her. Was told she was not in and she would call me back within the next day a two. A whole week goes by and still had not received a call back after I was told a note was left on her desk to call me back. No big deal, I'm pretty patient. I call back today looking for my invoice. The lady who answered my call seemed to recognize my situation and refused to look for my ticket unless I have the exact purchase date. I was told from this lady that I shouldn't have lost my receipt in the first place. (This is not what I was told a week ago, or I would have spent this time getting the exact date for them.)I get losing the receipt is my fault initially, but it's not my fault that they have an outdated computer system and their only way of looking up invoices is manually going through boxes of tickets when help is needed. Just because of the poor customer service and the attitude I received from this lady today, it's turning me away from ever purchasing furniture from them again(and I just bought a table and chairs from them 2 weeks ago and was about to purchase a leather couch I've had my eye on). If you want decent furniture for a fair price, this place is great! But, the customer service is lacking. The manager I spoke with was nice, but just tried justifying her actions of refusing to help me instead of trying to make things right with me. read more

First of all, I have never ever given any business a bad review. I only give 5 star reviews. I'm a business owner myself and understand somethings are out of your control but you apologize and do what it takes to take care of your customer. but when you lie over and over again from owner, to manager to staff, I had enough. Out of all the furniture places here in Murfreesboro. I decided to give this place my business because I figured they were a small business and would give better customer service then the other big chain stores. I wanted to support local business, therefore, I decided to give them my business. I have an empty house that needed to be furnished and so went to FMO. While at the store, everything was fine. The nightmare did not happen until the delivery process started. I was promised 10-14 business days to have my furniture delivered. After 25 days had gone by, I gave a call and spoke with the owner, Beau and John, the Manager. Beau told me, everything had just arrived at his warehouse and they will be able to deliver the following day. Well, that day came and went with no phone call and no delivery. I called back 5 days later, and a lady over the phone told me they just received the 3 barstools that I had purchased but she does not know where the rest of my items were. She stated she needed to call back east tomorrow morning to find out the status of my items. I asked to speak with Beau or John and she told me Beau was out of town and John was out of the office. She then said, she saw a post-it note from Beau that as soon as each item start coming to start delivering to me asap and not to wait for everything to arrive for delivery. So you see, Beau and John blatantly lied about having my items to be delivered. The following day, I received a call from Christine who told me she just located my items minus the chest and was willing to deliver it tomorrow. I told Christine to have John and/or Beau give me a call. The following day (day of delivery), John called and stated he had every single item and was going to have it delivered that day. I asked him, "I thought the chest was still missing with no time frame of when it was going to get delivered? " He said, it so happened that he had ordered that same chest for another customer and was going to give me that chest (my apologies to whoever is going to be waiting for their chest to be delivered). So 2 of their delivery guys showed up to my house to deliver and install the furniture. Now, it has been raining for the past 2 days and currently raining now. I asked the guys to remove their shoes or wear booties when they come inside the house because I do not feel like mopping up after them. The guy in the front says, per their insurance policy, they were not allowed to take off their shoes or wear booties (never heard that before). I then called the store to speak with John. Dylan answered the phone and said he was not available. I asked Dylan if it was company policy or insurance policy that their delivery/installation people could not take off their shoes or wear booties. He said it was not their policy and if a customer requested that they wear booties then they shall. I told them, I requested them to either take off their shoes or wear booties. Dylan paused and then said he does not see it in the work order that I had made that request for booties. I told him, how would I know what the weather was going to be like on the day of delivery. Wouldn't it be common sense that your delivery driver carry booties with him? For those reading this far, please make sure to request this in advance on day of purchase if you want your delivery/installation person to wear booties when everything your home. I pondered back and forth about giving them a bad review for days after the first lie but decided not to until the other lies occurred. I was patient enough with waiting over 30 days for my furniture and sleeping on the floor. But having to be lied to on different occasions, I will not stand for that. No customer service, no apologies, no ethical or moral values. I still have 3 other bedrooms to furnish. FMO, I was going to give you all my business but you screwed yourself over. I spent $7,000 at your store but will spend more somewhere else. read more

I don't often write reviews. But every now and then I come across a company/experience/people that deserve the praise where credit is due! I ordered a BEAUTIFUL Ashley Furniture couch through FMO back in August. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it online in their catalog. I was put on a 90 day payment plan. They had to get it from their warehouse to the store. It's the holidays... and my life is NEVER easy and I unfortunately had some 'hiccups' in my financial situation. Long story short, I knew I wasn't going to have the balance paid at the end of 90 days. I felt defeated because that couch had so much sentimental value for me. It's my very first ever piece of furniture that I am buying ON MY OWN, TO MY TASTE, WITH NO ONE TELLING ME NO in my 31 years on this earth. It was more than just a couch. It was a symbol of my independence. I called them on day 90 to let them know I wouldn't be able to pay off the couch in time, fearing I was going to lose the item due to non-payment. To my delight and surprise, they worked with me and are still working with me to pay it off. I'm now 1 payment away from scheduling the delivery! Being able to say that brings tears to my eyes you guys. You will NOT find a better company or group of people to work with. I will absolutely be a repeat customer (especially now that my "hiccups" are taken care of LOL). I have my first apartment on my own and it needs to be furnished. 2/28/20 my daughter bought me a recliner that ended up being s a little too firm so I wanted to exchange for a bigger softer chair and buy a new couch. The next day and less than 24 hours of her purchasing the recliner FMO still wanted to charge 35% restocking fee...that equated to another $100!!!!!!!! Before you buy from there be sure that you're getting what you want. Even though I still wanted to give them my business and spend more money on a bigger chair they wouldn't budge on the fee....LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER PURCHASE!!!!!!! 100 MORE DOLLARS!!!!!! They have a great selection of sofas, love seats, recliners, bed, and tables. We recently purchase our couch and love seat from here. The quality is great, we have not had one problem out of them and they are oh so comfortable. They loaded out couched on to our truck for us and check was easy and fast. We had looked at high dollar retail places earlier that day and saw nothing to our liking. As we were heading home we spotted this place and hello couch and love seat! I do not recommend FMO. I will be filing a BBB complaint. I have made 3 layaway purchases and each time has been worse than the previous, even though I get an excuse and an apology to do better next time, it just gets worse. 1st purchase item paid off, but it was out of stock, which makes no sense because as soon as I started paying the item should have been set aside. I received an apology, and was told it was an error. 2nd purchase I looked online and it was "in stock" I paid it off and waited 10 days with no response. After making inquiry I was told my dressers and table were back ordered, and no delivery date could be given. After going back and forth I had to change to a different set so I could get a delivery, and again was given an apology and told there was an error and they would do better. This time I made a purchase for my daughters birthday. Before I paid it off I verified that it was "in stock" I made double payment which was hard but I wanted to make sure I would get this in time for her birthday. over a week went by, and no contact from FMO. I inquired about a delivery date, and a couple days later received email stating it would be a month and a half since it was out of stock and back ordered. When asked why this showed in stock when paid off, and why I wasn't notified AGAIN, I was given excuse of covid-19 this time caused the errors. Not once while they were taking my money did they ever notify me that my items went out of stock, not once while taking my money did they hold my items for me. Not once after paying off my items did they contact me to say there was a problem. As long as they are getting your money they could care less about anything else. After posting review on fb I recieved a threatening and rude email from owner saying I "blasted" business on fb and that he would refuse service and business to me and my family. Then without asking or saying anything they refunded money and said I was not welcome to buy anything from them. read more

My elderly parents purchased a kitchen dinette set here and was told it would be delivered in 10 business days. They called today (the 10th business day) and was advised the table will not be delivered until next Monday. This is taking advantage of the elderly so I will do their fighting and let social media know that this store does not deliver what they promise. read more

Great prices, Great selection of furniture, but the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered simply buying a piece of furniture. My wife & I selected a couch at the end of summer after seeing their tv advertisement, the showroom had very little A/C and was very hot and the sales lady came off very rude at every interaction. We asked what money we had to put down and what payments needed to be made and were told "we will always take your money" but were never given any clear payment schedule. (which is completely opposite their marketing message on their tv advertisement) Anyway the couch arrives and we get a call, so I ask the Butch on the phone if we could schedule a delivery date and in what seemed like a harassing tone told me I must pay before a delivery date could be set up, I of course said no problem I will pay but can we set up a delivery time and date? Still I could not schedule a delivery and because of reviews I had read I (which indicated issues with delivery and furniture being there) asked if I could see the couch before I paid the balance to ensure it was there and is what I ordered, and also I would just rent a truck and deliver the couch myself and attempt to avoid the hassle of using them for delivery. Butch told me no problem, I could check the couch but it was at their warehouse nearby and I would have to call ahead so they could have the couch pulled. So today (Monday morning) I called to arrange to see the couch at the warehouse, pay and to deliver it myself. I unfortunately got Bo (the owner) on the phone who thought it was odd I wanted to see the couch... (which is what Butch told me was no problem, and to call ahead the day I was to pick it up) Bo called me "a piece of work" and "unique" because when I arrived at the warehouse after calling ahead no one was there and the door was locked, and when I called back to see if I needed to use another entrance or if I was in the right place he again answered the phone and was stumped... So after a frustrating conversation I finally get to see the couch (exactly what we ordered) and so I go to the FMO showroom to pay, where I meet Bo and he tells me that it is his policy that customers pay in full before they set a delivery time and says "I pay the drivers $400 a week and if a customer hands them a $500 balance they would just take it" so his rationale for not setting up deliveries before payment is that he employs low paid thieves that will take your money and not give it the store...... Or at least that what he tells his customers. I tried to be concise as possible in conveying my experience but the bottom line is that they have done a great job putting a large variety of good, and reasonably priced furniture together but from the top on down have no respect for their customers and could care less about providing quality service, so the other reviews that cite them as having great customer service, I would assume are fake reviews to combat the real customer experiences like mine. read more

I should have turned and run when I saw the shoddy, cramped, and outdated condition of the "showroom" floor, but I always like to give family owned places a chance so I looked around. I found a couch I loved that was relatively cheap, and even though I realized it may not last forever, decided to buy it. But, I also should have run the other way when I saw how disinterested the sale staff seemed to help me. I also noted later, that whenever I called (2-3 times), the staff never gave their names and if asked, still seemed reticient. That's a bad sign. Anyway, I bought the couch and another chair. The chair was an odd piece (no matching sofas) and on clearance. I wanted to be sure that is was not marked down due to damage since it was a dark color and in a dark, cramped spot in the store so I couldn't inspect it thoroughly ( I know, my bad.). I asked and was told, no there was no damage. Anyway, I bought my items, and came back a few weeks later to pick them up in the warehouse. I was promised everything would be kept wrapped in plastic to protect it from dust and damage (I have a dustmite allergy), which they were not! (The sofa was wrapped still from the factory, but the chair was full of dust.) I also found a few tears on the side, a large slit in the bottom, and spiderwebs inside it. I also found a slip of paper with someone elses name under the cushion and became concerned this chair was not even new! Maybe it was beat up because it had already been in someone else's house and returned, yet it was sold to me as new. I was very unhappy and all the manager would do was offer me $10. (That was after we waited in a hot parking lot at the warehouse door for 10 minutes for him to come talk to us.) This place offers no degree of customer service at all. No friendly smiles as you walk in, no courtesy of a name on a phone call, no follow up with what is promised, no hurry to help a customer having a problem, and no real concern about the experience. That is why I am writing my review. By the way, the parking lot out back and the warehouse are filthy messes. I would never have had any trust in this business to provide good product or service had I seem the condition they keep the furniture in. It's a trashed litter mess, inside and out! Stay away from this place. They only want your money, and will not provide any sort of friendly or helpful service once they have it! read more

I love this store!! My husband and I recently just purchased our first home together. We needed a lot of furniture. We thought we would have to wait to get everything we needed, but luckily a family member suggested this store. We found the exact bedroom suite we liked at Ashley's Furniture, but for half the price! We bought a dining room table, kitchen table, bedroom suite, and two sets of couches and love seats, all for much less than we expected to spend. And to make it even better, they charge a flat rate of $59 for delivery AND setup. As far as customer service, we were satisfied. We do not like be hounded when shopping. It's a no-pressure atmosphere. Delivery does take some time, but it is worth it for how much you save! read more

Best prices in Middle Tennessee! They offer furniture in all price points and have extensive catalogs for those hard to find pieces that you can't explain until you see the picture. Ashley is one of their house brands and the prices at FMO are cheaper than the prices at the Ashley Outlet Store plus its first run furniture, not the discontinued items you find at other stores. We had a rather large order that filled four rooms. Everything was delivered on the date promised, on time and intact. The delivery guys were polite, professional, and very respectful. Our experience from purchase to delivery was beyond our expectations. We will continue to purchase from FMO! read more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I bought a bed frame online and was told that it will be in the warehouse in 2 weeks. I called a little earlier than 2 weeks and they told me that it wont be into the warehouse for another month. They said that the headboard was out of stock. I was not happy. I talked to Bo on the phone and he told me that they will give me free delivery because of the wait or I can pick another bed frame and he will match the price. I chose another bed frame that looked similar and I actually liked better. I could tell he was doing everything he could to help me. The new bed frame got to them a couple days later but was still on the truck. I was told to come on a Sunday to come get it. I sent my husband to get it and it still was not off the truck. The lady that works up in the front, I think her name was Christine, apologized to him and she personally called me and apologize to me that it wasnt off the truck. She told me that it will be off the truck by Wednesday or if I wait until Friday they would deliver it to me for free. I got the bed frame and it is wonderful. It is great quality and beautiful!
