We booked the dive with only about an hour's notice, and they truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. The team arranged for a private boat just for our group, which included my wife, three sons, my mother-in-law, and myself. We were taken out to two amazing dive sites--Betty's and Davy Crocker--which were absolutely breathtaking. We saw incredible wildlife, including green moray eels, dozens of nurse sharks, and schools of reef fish so big we had to swim through them. The dive sites were gorgeous, and the underwater scenery was just stunning. Our dive guide, Will, was excellent. He did a fantastic job handling our group, which included both my two younger sons who are still new to open water diving, as well as my mother-in-law who is also a beginner. Will made sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and having a great time, adjusting to our varying skill levels with ease. Ashley, the first mate and owner of the company, was super friendly, bubbly, and passionate about what she does. As a woman-owned small business, you can feel the level of care and attention to detail in everything they do. Ashley's dedication to providing a top-tier experience really stood out, and it made the whole trip feel more personal. She made sure to include thoughtful touches that went beyond just the diving. The boats are state-of-the-art and updated, with warm water showers to rinse off after the dive, which was a nice luxury. They also provide reef-safe sunscreen to help protect the environment, which we really appreciated. One especially thoughtful touch was the leave-in conditioner for long hair--a small but impactful detail that made a big difference for us and left us all feeling a little better than they found us. Captain Greg was very confident and clearly experienced, which made us feel safe and secure the whole time. On top of the amazing diving experience, they have a fantastic selection of merch--fun, serious, and even a bit goofy! It was a nice touch, and we ended up buying some fun souvenirs. What really stood out to us, though, was the level of personalized service. Conch Republic Diving seems focused on making each trip unique and enjoyable, which really sets them apart from some of the larger companies around. They truly care about their guests and it shows in every aspect of their service. Keira is a pleasure to book with and work with to plan dive trips and she goes out of her way to make sure everyone has a pleasurable dive experience. Captain Jason is very safety forward and makes sure everyone gets on and off the boat securely. He is also so fun and always a pleasure to be on his boat. The instructors we dove with, KA, Tomos and Sonia were super patient and understanding of our different levels of experience. When we wanted to branch out and try new things like lobstering, they were very accommodating, and everyone was willing to work with us to be successful. I love that unlike at places in Key Largo such as Rainbow reef you can actually lobster and Spearfish with Islamorada, but they actually make sure you do it in a safe and responsible way which I really appreciate. We booked the morning and afternoon dive (total of 4 dives/sites) and we enjoyed the experience. The boat and dive guides were very friendly. We checked in then we got our rental gears. Before we left the dock, the dive guides were able to help us set up our gear (we are beginner divers and, sometimes, you just need to double check if your gear is correctly set up). We went to the Eagle Raw Alley, JJ's Cave, Minnow's Cave, and Christ of the Abyss. We saw a lot of creatures like lobster, hammer head shark, nurse shark, different fishes, stingray, crab, Christ of the Abyss, parrot fish, and tube sponge. My family came to Key Largo so my husband could dive and see all the beauty the Keys have to offer…read more My son and I added on to his scuba trip as snorkelers after having the most amazing day prior snorkeling through Robbie's snorkeling tour using"Sundance Watersport's". This trip was the complete opposite experience. The staff at Sea Dwellers assured my husband that the diving spots were great for snorkeling and that they had gear for our son. It was more expensive than the other snorkeling trips with one less snorkeling spot so we were apprehensive but hopeful for a fun day ahead. We were not greeted when we got on the boat and I asked multiple people about gear for my five year old... apparently the fins had broken a few weeks back so we tried larger fins with his shoes that instantly fell off. This was really upsetting because they assured my husband they had gear for him. He was so excited to snorkel bc he had learned the previous day but was unable to keep up in the current. So he was worn out and sat on the boat most of the time. When I looked up at him he was always by himself with staff just looking at their phones- could have been a great opportunity to teach him about something cool he had seen? My son was the only other person snorkeling so I found myself alone out in the ocean which was an experience to write about another day. I also want to note the amount of jellyfish that we were trying to avoid. I found out later that they are harmless but that would have been a good thing to tell people especially with kids for a peace of mind after showing the vinegar to spray on your jellyfish stings in the introduction to the area. We were trying to avoid them the entire first stop at Molasses Reef instead of enjoying the sea life from above. If you want a beautiful snorkeling experience with positive staff that is kind and teaches you about the marine life I would highly recommend NOT using Sea Dwellers.

Forever Young kept coming up in my online searches and conversations. When I talked to Captain Tony he came across as extremely knowledgeable and incredibly honest. The morning of my trip I met Captain Rob and Guide Luke at the Forever Young dock. They knew I wanted to go after Lion Fish. They are two consummate professionals that were 100% focused on making sure I had a great day. I confessed to them, I had never used a spear gun or a sling spear. Luke was not phased. While Rob prepared the boat, Luke grabbed a sling spear and gave me an impromptu lesson on how to use it. As we got underway, it became obvious to me these two guys knew the waters in the keys. We made three dives at three different spots. Each dive just blew my mind. Secretly I wanted to get two Lion Fish.... As we approached the bottom on the first dive we came upon six or eight of them bunched together. Five minutes into the first dive, my bucket list was fulfilled. We filled the Zookeeper during each dive. It was surreal. My wife, children, and friends knew the day I was going out with the Forever Young team. As we came back in, I started getting texts..... How did it go ? Did you shoot any ? Did you have fun ? I fired off texts with pictures of the 35+ Lion Fish Luke helped me find and shoot. Everyone was excited. It was a great day. I have never been to Florida before this trip. I don't know anyone in Florida. I knew if this adventure was going to be successful, I would need to go with the best... people who were skilled and knew the waters. These guys are the best. These two guys helped me have the trip of a lifetime.
