I was ready for a new book to read after finishing the latest title by my favorite author on my…read morelunch break. With a couple of Barnes & Noble gift cards in my wallet, I couldn't wait to pay a visit to the Greenbrier store after work. I really enjoy the peace I find while perusing the amazing book selection and variety of fun gifts at this bookstore. It's quiet, clean, and well organized. It's a happy place. After 2 leisurely hours, I found a new author, and I'm anxious to start her first book. Another reason I was anxious for 'my time' to shop for a new book at B&N is their 'Hot Coffee, Hot Book, Cafe Special Offer' deal! With the purchase of any cafe item, you can purchase a featured book for $5. This offer has limited quantities, and the book cover is so pretty and pink! It's titled 'The Vanishing Cherry Blossom Bookshop' by Takuya Asakura. The friendly cafe server said that the $5 cafe book offer for this book title ends soon, but another book will be coming. She believed their location has the offer every 2 months, but other locations might be every month. No worry, I'm hooked and I'll keep an eye out! So, I see another great cafe deal on select bakery items, BOGO 50% off. I chose a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookie and an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie to go. After my new book purchase and cafe purchases, my first text to my adult children was a reminder that Mother's Day is coming up and that I'd love gift cards to Barnes & Noble! I received a reply with a thumbs up!

Staff is knowledgeable. I like the deals and sales they have. I found a really cool set of markers and erasers. I also enjoy the little descriptions by the staff on books and manga they recommend. So I really dig this place, and this concept. Roll With It is basically like a bar/restaurant for…read moretable top/board gaming. You can bring your own, or play any of the MANY games they have available. Also, the staff will come around and teach you how to play if you're trying to learn something new which is a big plus. It can get pretty overwhelming pretty fast -- but they've got everything from kids games, to retro games, to long RPG kinds of stuff - so whatever your lane is, they've got something for it. The menu is kind of limited, but what I've eaten here has been delicious. On one visit I got a lovely salad, on another the teriyaki chicken which was delightfully spicy, and on other occasions we've tried the appetizers like the hummus plate and pretzel bites. Portions are pretty small for the price. They do have some wine/beer options as well as tons of non-alcoholic options as well. The staff adheres to a NO TIPPING policy - but a flat gaming fee is added to your bill. Kind of a cool concept. There's always been plenty of spaces to park when I've visited and it's definitely a fun night out if you're wanting to do something different with friends. I'd go with a solid 4 1/2 on this one!

My bf had been talking about coming here since they were open because he's a HUGE boardgame fan. We…read morefinally got the chance to come on a Saturday night and try it out. When we first arrived, we were greeted by a nice gentleman asking if we want a big or small table depending on what kind of games (bigger or smaller size of the game). We picked a smaller table but regretted because we ended up playing the Photosynthesis. We were told that they don't accept tips since 18% will be added on our bill along with a $5 fee to maintain their boardgame library, and I totally love this idea. I was a server once and this is so much better for both customers and servers. Regardless of that their service is still great other than the food was slow, which I know it's not their fault but their pos machine was down/kitchen/whatever. So we sat down and ordered our drinks and food. Their drink menu has couple IPA, wine and milkshakes. My bf had some IPAs and I just got water because I usually get cocktails but they didn't offer any, which is a disappointment for me. I ordered the Tuna Poke and my bf ordered the Turkey Bacon Panini. The food was pricey but they do give you what you paid for, the flavor is incredible. My Tuna Poke is really spicy so beware if you don't like spicy. The sauce is creamy and full of flavor. I can taste a little soy and sesame. There's a generous amount of tuna which was covered with poppyseeds. The Turkey Bacon Panini is THICC. Huge amount of turkey and everything on it are fresh. My bf loves avocado so he LOVES his sandwich. While waiting for the food, we went to check out what game we wanted to play. The shelves are so neat and every boardgames are placed in categories. The colors of the stickers on the boardgame represent how hard is it to learn how to play the games. We picked Photosynthesis because my bf was thinking of buying it but wanted to try it beforehead. After we went back we started to read the instructions of the game and setups, but we planned on eating before playing because we were pretty hungry. Unfortunately the food hasn't arrived due to miscommunication on their part but the owner apologized and the server did check on us occasionally. We were also taking our time to learn how to play the game so it wasn't a huge deal for us. We like to figure out how to play a boardgame ourselves but sometimes we had to ask questions and the owner is patient and willing to answer all questions, and luckily he said he really loves this game so he is very knowledgeable with it. We also had couple good conversations with him and other staff. They are all very friendly and you can tell they like boardgames too. We ended up staying a little after 11(sorry we got excited!) since we wanted to finish the game and browsed around the buying section where you can purchase some games that they provide and in case you wanna buy it too. Overall the food is a bit pricey but delicious. The variety of boardgames are incredible and they are nice and clean. The owner and staff are super friendly. Suggestions I have is to add cocktails on their drink menu and some more comfortable seats. We will definitely come back with friends and try out other boardgames!

It was a little chilly tonight, but I imagine the outdoor seating would be perfect on a warmer evening. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we were seated within seconds. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it's thoughtfully designed and perfect for a cozy date night. Every employee who passed by greeted us, which made the atmosphere feel especially welcoming. We started with the octopus, served with potato foam, pickled pear, and chorizo. For entrées, he ordered the duck and I had the pork bolognese. Both dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also ordered drinks. I do wish they had come out a bit earlier so we could enjoy them sooner, but the selection was impressive. We chose the bartender's choice, which was a really fun experience. The waitress asks a few questions, and based on your answers the bartender creates a drink they think you'll love. We were too full for dessert, though they did offer four different options. Overall, we were really happy we tried this restaurant and will definitely be back.
