I used to go here a lot quite awhile ago, until I had a bad experience and then I avoided it for about 14 years. I decided to return recently, and it was a lot better. The food is good and I appreciate that it's one of the only DQ's where you can get more than just weenies and cream. The service was pretty good and the food was not too bad at all. However, I went back a couple of days later and realized that one of the staff had lied about discontinuing one of the blizzards. I guess they just didn't want ME to have one. I wanted an ice cone for dessert after dinner so I decided to come to DQ because I love their soft serve ice cream. It's very creamy. We went through the drive thru and the line went very fast. I got an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate which was very good. It was my first time getting a dipped cone here. My fiancé got brownie, oreo, and cookie crumble in her cup. The brownie was thrown in the cup into big pieces. It would of been better if the brownie was broken down into smaller pieces. My fiancé rated it 3.7 stars. read more

No condiments in the lobby so customers have to go to ther front ans ask for things like ketchup after being service french fries. Most people want ketchup with fries - they should at least offer it when you place the order. I had a teenage girl employee bring my meal - as I was dining it - and there was no ketchup so I asked for some. She told me to get up and go to the front counter and then turned around and walked back to the front counter. If ketchup was not automatically given to me, she should have gone and got it and bring it to me. Unacceptable. Also the chicken strips are a lie - they are more like nuggets. I paid $7 for soggy cold nuggets, maybe 20 french fries and a drink. The service sucks and the food sucks. I do the survey and let then know abut my bad experiences (this is not the first) and they dont care. read more

Pretty decent service! I usually visit this location twice a month. My daughter loves this place, so I obliged a few times a month. We usually place our order through the drive-thru. Fast service, never a wait in line. Most recently, she has gone inside to place her order. I find this usually takes a few more minutes longer than going through the drive-thru. Nevertheless, it's still not an unbearable wait time. Therefore, the service here is pretty decent and satisfying. I find that this location offers all the Dilly Bar flavors and that makes me happy! Cherry, Chocolate and Butterscotch I love the Cherry, but the Chocolate is tasty too. I haven't had the urge to try the third flavor, I'm thinking Butterscotch may be too sweet for my liking. But give it a try. So the Dilly Bar... I get it for free. Every time my daughter places an order, on her receipt there is information listed on how to receive a free Dilly Bar on your next visit. Been going here for the occasional treat during quarantine. It works. It's a nice break from everything. My only real gripes are the facility layout. The wrap around isn't the greatest turning areas. A lot of people go odd directions and create backups. You'd think it would be easy but I think you really have to make things dummy-proof in order to solidify traffic patterns. The blizzards/soft serve are exactly what you would expect. It's pretty hard to mess those up. We don't really get food here b/c we've never really had any good experiences getting the food. So with that being said, my rating is strictly based on the blizzard/soft serve aspect of this business. Employees aren't the most enthusiastic. It was such a great day that we went out for ice cream. I always pass this dairy queen but have never stopped in. My mom and daughter were visiting and this was the closest ice cream spot near home. I love how you have the option of either going through the drive through or going inside. I knew immediately what I wanted before I walked in.....an oreo cookie blizzard. I haven't had one in years. What I didn't want was a huge portion so I was glad to see they had a mini size version. We sat and someone brought our order over to us. The mini was the perfect amount for me and tasted as creamy and chocked full of oreo pieces as I last remembered. The cost was also mini $3. Because my daughter goes to therapy near this location, we have been going to this location once a week for almost 2 years. The staff was usually friendly with great customer service skills, but yesterday they must have intentionally scheduled their most clueless, rudest employees to work the evening shift. After the first genius ran my debit card, the one who rang it up came running over to say she rang up the order wrong. Instead of eating the $1.69 difference, since it was her mistake, she asked for my debit card back, canceled a $4 sale, and then charged my card a $5.69. Of course all this incompetence took time that we didn't have to hang around Dairy Queen. The best part? After all that time, the little einstein parked me, because the order still wasn't ready. Then when I asked the boy who brought my food out who the store manager is, he lied and said he didn't know. He laughed when I asked if corporate might know who the manager is. So I called as soon as I left. They said they would have the store's owner call me. This is my daughter's favorite fast food restaurant, but we will not be back. Freddie's and Zaxbys both have better cheese curds and Freddie's has frozen custard. Really no reason for us to go back. read more

This Dairy Queen used to be fantastic. Customer service was good and they were fast. Ice cream was good and as it should be. The past 5 to 6 months they have been cutting costs for the same prices. They are not willing to make special stuff that they would make before. Also the toppings for everything, blizzards included have been slim at best. Recommend going somewhere else because this place has been demoted to Dairy Squire for the time being. If you're gonna charge $5 for a small cup of ice cream make sure it's worth it. read more

Got a Butter finger Blizzard with extra butterfinger (because there's never a lot- vanilla ice cream with flakes of butter finger) and My hope with getting and paying for extras was that I'd get to actually bite down on a chunk of butterfinger. Not only did i pay to have extra I didn't actually get extra in it. I barely had any at all. It was a slow night, there so it wasn't busy where they could have forgot in a haste of a rush. I stopped at the Dairy Queen on Portsmouth Blvd. yesterday to get some lunch. The first thing was the "Sticker Shock" for the burgers. There used to be 2 double cheeseburgers for $5, then it went to 2 for $5.50, now they are over $6 each ! They did have a special that was 2 classic single cheeseburgers for $6. It showed the Classic cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mustard, onions, ketchup, and pickle. I ordered the 2 classic for $6 and said hold the pickle ! When I got my burgers, I opened them up and all I had was 2 flat cheeseburgers with mustard and ketchup ! They looked like those so called cheeseburgers from McDonalds that cost half as much ! They did hold the PICKLE ! They also held everything else too ! $6 for 2 flat cheeseburgers with mustard and ketchup ? Dairy Queen has priced themselves OFF the MARKET ! How can anyone take their kids in for a treat unless they have at least $50 in their pocket !!!! I'm DONE with Dairy Queen ! The food is OK but not worth the price that they are asking for it ! Ordered the strawberry cheesecake and turtle blizzard with small fries. Cheesecake blizzard was really good. Full of flavor and bites of cheesecake. The turtle, idk was really disappointing. Just was more like a soup. Then the fries were waaaaay salty and soggy so I just threw them out. I got my sugar fix with a few bites of each but a little disappointing this go around. I couldn't remember the price exactly, but it surely shouldn't have been that much, even with tax. If there wasn't a line of cars waiting in front of me for their food, I would've sped off. I was hoping the taste of it would appease my bad decision of paying so much for a small blizzard. No. Absolutely not. The cookie dough tasted like something that was not of this earth and I mean that in the most "this can't be food I ate just now" way ever. I'm not sure what it was, but it hit the bottom of the nearest trash with a vengeance and I'll be taking my coins elsewhere. Just left there, I had a four piece chicken strip dinner. The Chicken strips were closer to the size of chicken nuggets from McDonalds and were not even warm. The French fries were OK. The bread, they had to be kidding, is I guess supposed to be Texas toast, but wasn't warm, didn't have any butter on it, was smashed, more like plain white bread kissed by a griddle than anything. I think it's important to write a review when you have an awesome experience, and today was that day at Dairy Queen. It was really busy today around 8 so I decided to go inside. 1) everyone was extremely safe in regards to COVID 2) the cashier I had (it says Kiera on my receipt) was extremely nice and efficient. I told her I had a hefty order (8 ice creams) and she was able to get everything accurate right off the bat and was just overall so sweet. Awesome job girl 3) they made ALL my ice creams so quickly. Like....freaky fast efficient. The woman working the counter made sure I had enough spoons, put all of them in a drink carrier for me and the best part.....OFFERED TO HEP ME BRING THEM TO MY CAR just amazing. I'm give this DQ just two stars in light of the fact that the snowstorm was in reality conventional. The menu costs are path over evaluated, I paid $10 only for two SMALL butterfinger snow squalls with pineapple, somewhat emotional. I dismantle up to the window and was offered tops and a beverage transporter. Just required tops, in any case; one of the female specialists working the register began tattling at the window about me. When I requested the other female collaborator who was working the window to fix my tops since she plainly didn't put them on the whole distance and frozen yogurt was flooding the SMALL glass, I was given a frame of mind. At that point she doesn't fix the best accurately for the second time nor offers another container or anything. So I just requested napkins to tidy up the wreckage and was given three slender napkins and the laborer shut the window on me before I could request more. I didn't value the frame of mind and absence of regard. Sadly the DQ on triumph crossing is shut and I needed to manage this branch. Wish I would have inspired names to call the store chief. read more
