The rest: 1) There is a waiting room but the front door is kept locked for safety, I assume and understand. So, you have to wait in your car. The waiting room does not have chairs anyway. 2) Appointments are scheduled back to back. This means that if you are ready to go to the massage room instead of taking a restroom break, your room is not ready. 3) I scheduled a 50-minute service, arrived 4 minutes earlier (all time points are based on my phone clock for precision). The front door was opened in a couple of minutes, the massage therapist was letting out and had a small talk with the previous client. Then, said that the room needs to be prepared and gave me veeeery long time to get myself on the table, only to come in without knocking. The massage ended 5 minutes before my scheduled end time! I assume that all dressing and undressing are considered a part of the massage time . That's the first for me! 3) The most important part: Massage itself was Swedish, so I didn't expect any deep tissue pressure. However, I have been getting massages for over 20 years including massages at the Deep Creek Lake area. I could simply tell that my muscles groups were not worked during this massage. Also, this full body massage didn't include feet or hands - one more first for me. I left a tip because it is a small business but I can't leave a good review or see myself going there again.

She began the session with inquiries into our health history, current symptoms, and areas that we wanted to concentrate on. Her massage room is completely equipped with warming bed, HEPA filter, hot towels, aromatherapy if desired, high quality lotion, and the other usual supplies. Throughout the session, Kat explained what she was going to do next, and checked in to make sure the pressure was right for me. She worked on my entire body from head and face to toes. I left feeling completely relaxed, and with the areas of concern greatly improved. Kat works solo, so while my husband and I waited our turns, we spent the time chatting with Kat's husband, reading books, and watching TV in their cozy home. They really made a very cold spring vacation day that much better. To top it all off, Kat's prices are extremely reasonable; even more so considering Kat's experience at Nemacolin. It was a truly different and relaxing experience. Afterward we both agreed 1 hour would have been sufficient. We both got bored in the last 30 minutes. It would have been great if we could have fallen asleep but neither of us did. I chose total darkness for myself but with music. The Epsom salts in the water make it impossible to sink. If you are claustrophobic I would recommend you skip it as you are enclosed in a pod. You shower first then enter the pod then shower again after. It was a wonderful experience but for me in future I think I would choose an hour massage over it. Though they say you will feel the benefits of magnesium absorption over the week to come. I will happily come to try different experiences here they were wonderful.

I was there February 4th 2023, so the outside of the building looked a little gray but once inside it was wonderful. You are welcomed with some ocean sounds and a beverage station; bottled water, hot tea and coffee selections. I walked up to the sign-in window and signed a waiver, and did my paper work then was politely ushered to the back. My therapist was Judie and she walked me to the room, instructed me on how much I should strip down, where I could put by things, how to lay on the table, and what she would be doing. This was my first time ever receiving a massage so the information was happily welcomed; I obviously am not a good listener though bc I forgot to take off my necklace and we had to stop to do that lol. Laying on the heated table I was a little intimidated as to what to do during this massage. I'm a talker when I'm nervous and I always feel weird not filling the silence; however, that nervousness soon flew away as the massage started. There was a pleasant noticeable smell in the room that was neutral, there was some meditative music playing in the background and of course Ms. Judie doing what she obviously does best. The oil she used felt warm and the rocks felt amazing. At first I thought they felt too hot but once Ms. Judie moved them around it was just pure relaxation. During the massage she checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable, of course I was...I was in utter bliss. Ms. Judie was gentle and sure with her movements, the amount of pressure used felt perfect. I don't know the words to describe how wonderful she did and how relax I felt throughout the whole session. After 90 minutes my time was over. She told me to take my time and take it easy when getting ready as I could feel light headed. I felt like a puddle, I was so relaxed, it was like its own high. I begrudgingly got dressed (lol) and met her out front to make my payment (well to meet my husband who gave me the money to make the payment lol). She gave me water, reminded me to drink up and that it was normal to feel hungry and get a headache after. I never got the headache but I felt sore the next day as if I had gone to the gym for an hour. The whole experience was amazing. Even though I live an hour away I may have to make this a more common thing. To wrap up....the facility on the outside is a little gray but the inside is clean and welcoming.
