Disappointed, Yelp advised that the next nearest store was this Vitamin Shoppe on Oxford Valley Road. It was only 10 minutes away, so we drove over to take care of our business. The retail space was clean and well lit. The solitary woman holding the fort this Sunday evening was friendly and had everything under control. She directed us to the location for sleep assistance. There, in the bottom two shelves was their collection of what we needed. It wasn't a huge selection, but enough to make an informed choice. Melatonin was well represented, but I wanted something with a broader spectrum of natural compounds and herbs that worked together and allowed that people react differently to supplements, thus increasing the chance that one or more ingredients would be effective, even if others were not. I found something with both melatonin and valerian root and 7 other natural elements that have shown usefulness relaxing and helping move toward and into sleep. It seems to be working so far. My wife is now sleeping through the night and falling asleep more quickly when ready. Will let you know if that changes.

It is one of the largest outlets for health foods, vitamins and esoteric capsules of natural minerals, oils and topical creams in the region. In addition to all those bottles on shelves, its staff is extremely knowledgeable on the proper use, dosage and alternatives that must be considered when assisting in personal health while also taking instruction from a personal physician. Their nutritionists and holistic specialists know the right questions to be asked, listen closely to your answers, and walk you to the section of the store where they show you what to consider. In my situation, I was looking for a few things for the family; lecithin for hair strengthening, Vitamin C, D3 and K-2 for enhanced immunity and cardiovascular health. My guide volunteer showed me the available choices, suggested what to avoid based on the prescription drugs taken, and made sure I selected the right dosages (sometimes less is more). Holly Hill has many private label options where discounted price is most apparent. I bought some of them, but appreciated when a different brand was recommended for its improved beneficial therapeutic impact. Supplements are not cheap these days, and their popularity is growing. There was a touch of sticker shock when a handful of small bottles ran a tab over the century mark. But, it is what it is. Still, they are now a part of my health regime and my budget, and will remain so until a better solution to health maintenance comes along.

The sales person said she only smelled peppermint(??!!). We then, in front of the sales person, opened another bottle that had the same odor. The explanation was that they make different batches. We had certainly hoped it would at least be investigated in case a bacteria had gotten into that batch. We were offered a credit but not a refund. We have found a wonderful product online and will not be ordering from Holly Hill again. My advice: check your product before you leave the store. The store that "cares about you" didn't quite care enough to refund our money.

I told him what I needed, and he escorted me to their respective locations. Luckily, I was able to secure the last K7 in stock (strengthens the immune system) and he made sure the iron wasn't for me (can cause cardiac issues in men). I assured him that was the case and we completed our transaction. Prices were reasonable and the entire episode lasted under 15 minutes; just the amount of time offered by the limited parking zone out in front. Given the usual difficulty with Doylestown Borough parking, I knew this was my lucky day.
