I called needing my dryer repaired. The lady that answered the phone was very kind and accommodating. CJ showed up to my home right on time. He was beyond respectful, very honest, extremely knowledgeable, as well as accommodating when my dryer decided to have multiple problems. CJ was so honest and explained everything that was going on. He truly gained a customer for life. Honesty, Respect, and Hard Work go a long way. When the initial issue wasn't the only issue, CJ never showed frustration we told me don't worry about it we will figure out what's going on. The truth is this dryer is the last item my Dad bought me before he passed away, and I just am not ready to get a new one. It sounds crazy yes, but when I told CJ he truly listened and went above and beyond getting the dryer back working. I'm so very Thankful for his knowledge and respect. Come to find the stabilization brackets had not been installed properly by my husband. Edit: Since posting my last review, I've updated this one by subtracting a star. Still a great service, but accept no one but Bobby. Don't let him send one of his other guys. See below. - So grateful for this guy. I found him through Yelp (thank you, Yelp!), and he lived up to the hype. We scheduled an appointment via his website. He arrived within his window (my wife even called him to get a closer idea of when he'd come, and he was kind enough to tell us so that she could sneak a nap in). When he came, he looked at our dishwasher. It started working fine (that's how it goes, right? Things are broken but then behave when you take them to the shop or when the repair guy arrives). Instead of just taking the service fee and walking away, he tested everything out, cleaned the dishwasher, showed us a few tricks, and ensured us that we had a good, functioning dishwasher in spite of its age (free tip: dishwashers with push-button control panels tend to last less time because the circuit boards inside can break; good old mechanical dial dishwashers last longer). He could have tried to sell us a newer model, but he was remarkably honest. He even said that if the dishwasher acted up again in the next thirty days, he would not charge us an additional service fee to come back to look at it. This fellow is a breath of fresh air and a remarkably welcome, honest business in a field that can have all too much either dishonesty or incompetence. Two big thumbs up! Update: As indicated above, when you schedule service, be sure to get Bobby and no one else. His business is a good one, so I guess his volume is up and sent another fellow (not sure if it was one of his workers or a sub-contractor) to work on our leaky washer. The fellow came out, looked at, and had us order the part. Bobby himself ended up coming back to install the part once it got in, but once he looked at and "fixed" the washer, he knew it was not fixable. He did the best he could to try to stop or slow the leak, but it didn't work. I get the feeling Bobby would have known first thing the washer was unfixable. To be fair, we still could have been ripped off and paid a lot more to another repair person. Nevertheless, we still spent $200 and didn't get the washer fixed and now still need to go spend $600+ to get a new washer. That $200 would have been nice to have for our new washer. So don't let Bobby send anyone else. Wait for Bobby if you have to. read more

Tom was great, very professional and since i already bought the part i was charged for labor only. I thought about doing it myself, but wasn't confident on putting it all back together. UPDATE: The owner reached out to me and apologized for the service provided/not provided by his tech. The owner researched and found that parts were available. Discussion with that tech to follow. The owner was very kind and understood about the $99 fee. He refunded my credit card as we talked. Thanks Deep South. Hope all goes well for your company and the tech. In the future if needed, I will speak with the owner only and give any applicable part/model number before scheduling a service call. I apologize for the post that expressed my previous dissatisfaction. I was disappointed. The Deep South service tech came to hopefully get our GE microwave heating again. He looked at the model number, checked it on his ipad and said they couldn't get parts needed for the possible repair. No offer to further check with GE for possible replacement or alternate part/s. Ten minutes in my house at a fee of $99. I called the GE service center and a nice lady verified that my model number was serviceable and that they did have replacement parts. We scheduled an appointment and few days later a GE service tech showed up and replaced the magnetron in the microwave. All good now and with a 5 year warranty on the magnetron. Thanks GE. Deep South you should consider going the extra mile to locate repair parts and maybe not charge people to tell them "parts not available" when in fact they were. You guys must be making a killing with that kind of service. I consider the $99 a fee for knowing who not to call. read more

I couldn't be happier with this company. Our 10 year old Whirlpool fridge had a major leak and the ice maker had stopped working. After calling Deep South, our technician Bobby came out and was friendly and knowledgeable. Robert responded to my request in less than 10 minutes. Although Robert couldn't do the repair because I was out of his service area he basically diagnosed my issue through yelp messages and told me actually what my issue was! He even gave me an estimate and told me I should not pay over the estimate. He referred another repair tech and the tech did exactly what Robert told me the issue was. My refrigerator is now working as design with no leak. Robert is a honest appliance repair technician with very reasonable prices. I wish he serviced other areas outside Hiram and Dallas but if you are in his area then look NO where else. The repair tech he referred also told me that Robert has been doing this kind of work for many years. He use be a sears technician before starting his own business so this guys knows his stuff. I previously left a review here for this company, but for some reason, my review and the nasty response was removed. In my 1st review, I was pretty upset. So here is the toned down version with updates. Our LG oven was overheating. When setting it to 350, it heated and chimed when it reached 350 but kept increasing and burned food our food. I went to the company's web site and set up an appointment for Monday 12PM-4PM. I searched message boards regarding the problem and found someone had the same problem. The fix - replace the oven control board. On the company's web site, I provided a probelm summary and part needed to resolve the issue in hope they would bring what they needed so the issue could be fixed that day. On Sunday night, I received a call explaining they had a death in the family and asked to reschedule. I said I was sorry to hear this and a reschedule would be fine. I aksed how much time they would need and they said Tuesday between 12PM-4PM. So that was the agreement. Monday night, I received a text message reminder. On Tuesday at 1:45 PM we still have not heard from anyone. I tried to call but got voice mail. I sent a message requesting ETA. I got a response stating they are running 2 hours late. I received a text message AFTER the end of the scheduled time (4:15 PM) saying they are enroute and thanked me for patience. Got another message at 4:30PM stating ETA in 15-20 minutes. The tech (owner - Bob), and his co-worker arrived at 4:45 PM. They asked what the problem was and I said I had already provided this on their web site, but explained it again. Bob's response was "probably a stuck relay" and looked up the parts. His parts were $220 and said I need a thermostat (another $65). Labor is $120 for a total cost of $405. The oven is 7 years old and instead of throwing money at it, we told Bob that we would just replace it. What upset me about this company was when I asked how much I owed. Bob stated the bill is a $65 service call fee. All Bob did was spend 10 minutes to look up the parts needed and provide a quote. This could have been done on the phone since Bob did not even look at the stove or do any troubleshooting. Since we had to wait 45 minutes AFTER the scheduled window, he should have given us a discount. We then went to price ovens. We checked the big named companies and found the earliest we could get an over was mid-February due to no stock. The ones they had were either too cheap or too expensive. So we did some additional research on doing the repair ourselves. I found the parts at a Parts Direct web site. The Range Oven Control Board was $34.09 and thermostat was $23.63. I said in my first review I may be mistaken in identifying the parts needed as I am not an appliance repair person. I made a mistake stating the overcharge is his way to gouge the customer. The truth is, Bob pulls the prices from his supplier. His supplier is making a fortune off of his customers. After the review, I received a nasty text message from Bob and he also left on all web sites I left the review. On all the sites I posted the initial review, they were removed (except for one). Bob's response was horrible. I was accused of being ignorant and arrogant. So the bottom line - I ordered the parts I thought would be needed, reviewed the diagram, and replaced the parts myself. I spent an hour doing the repair (easy) and put everything back together and tested it. The over now heats fine and no longer overheats. So instead of paying an outrageous $405 for parts and labor, we spent $57 and $23 expedited shipping ($80). Be careful who you pick. It seems Bob seems to only care about getting 5 stars. His customers may be satisfied with the work performed. Maybe his customers aren't aware of how much value they are getting for the money. Bob claims his supplier provides factory approved parts. The part I installed looks exactly like the old part. So I feel it will perform as expected. read more
